And I also really appreciate that you also added a photo to your review and recognize all the updates I constantly make. My husband and myself rented places on St John for many, many years before we finally 'pulled the trigger' and fulfilled a lifetime dream of ours to own a 'piece of paradise' so I always try to make Bliss everything we ourselves were looking for in a vacation rental. I'm sorry it took you a couple days to figure out our new built-in combination multi-function microwave/oven. I was so sad when our old combination microwave/convection oven broke but this new one not only microwaves, roasts and grills but also acts as an air fryer! This new technology is amazing. Can't wait to welcome you back. Thanks again for your review.

It was lovely being able to welcome you back 'home' to Bliss! So sorry you had to go through the inexcusable power outages that occured during your stay. Fortunately, you will NOT ever have to go through that again in any of your future stays as Cruz Views is in the midst of contracting for the installation of a whole complex generator system! I can NOT wait until that is accomplished! Its been a long time coming...

I too love the view off the deck; I usually spend my mornings drinking my coffee there and my late afternoons/evenings drinking a glass of wine and having appetizers there while watching the sunset. But I often work while I'm at Bliss, setting up my computer at the DR table, and love occasionally (ok, maybe often!) looking up and enjoying the equally beautiful sea view out the large LR window! Or glancing out at the garden window to see which orchids are currently blooming and watching the humingbirds or bananaquits drinking water out of the bromeliads or birdfeeder hanging there. So glad you enjoyed your stay at Bliss!

I'm 74 and I personally think it's an easy walk down into town but maybe not in high season at night and it is definitely NOT an easy walk back UP! Which is what I tell ALL of my guests. I encourage every one of my guests to rent a 4wd while staying at Bliss--it's impossibe to buy ice and gallons of water and walk back up that hill and still have ice cubes left! Ha ha. Also, a jeep gives you so much freedom to explore this wondrous island at your own time and pace. Thank you again for leaving your review.

Thank you for taking the time to review Bliss--I know that 'reentry' is hard but your review helps others so much. The location and views is what attracted us to this property as well. Close to everything but nice and quiet and private. I'm glad you enjoyed our amenities--I try and keep Bliss furnished and stocked with everything that I personally want and enjoy. I am SO sorry that I did not meet your expectations 100% for you to be able to leave a 5* review as all my previous guests have. If it was something out of my control--such as weather, electricity going out--then I can't do anything about that, obviously. BUT if there is something that I could have done, or will be able to do so that my future guests are all able to leave 5* reviews, please let me know. I am very happy to provide anything that you perhaps could not find or correct anything that I have control over. We, ourselves, rented vacation rental properties for 13 years before we were eventually able to buy our own 'piece of paradise!--an ultimate dream of ours!) I agree with you about the incredible views from the deck and deck bar, the entire interior great room area and especially the upstairs bedroom. I often have to work while I'm there and there is nothing like lifting my eyes up from my computer while sitting at the DR table and soaking in that incredible view!

Your description is exactly what I tell potential guests, both about the the onerous walk back up that hill--that's why I recommend renting a jeep for the greatest enjoyment of the island, although a combinationn of walking and taxis can be somewhat cost-efficient for a couple or a single renter, though for a family or 2 couples, it's less costly and much more convenient to rent a jeep. And, as I tell everyone, I often have that lovely pool to myself!

We too love the location, which as you stated, is close to both town and the beaches but nice and quiet and private in the evenings.
