Our stay was pleasant and we had no serious issues. I did feel that there was a lot of neglect in the property in the way of maintenance. There were blown light bulbs and other cosmetic things that shouldn't be an issue if some regular maintenance was performed. A couple of the amenities listed were not available, specifically, garage parking and a barbecue grill both of which we had planned to use. However, the neighborhood seemed relatively safe and we had no issues and we were able to use the stove to cook our burgers and brats on. Overall, we weren't super impressed for the price we paid but it was adequate for our needs so we made due.

The house was perfect for our stay in Chicago. It's located in a quiet area with no traffic. Walgreens is super close and Target is about a 5 minute drive. There are loads of dining options nearby as well. The apartment is secure. There is a code to get into the gate, a code for the front door and a code for the apartment. The apartment is huge so with just three of us we each had our own bedroom and plenty of room to move around. I can't imagine that there would be anything you would need that wasn't included.

What a great place to stay! Interior of the unit was very nice and modern. Amenities were great. We felt safe and secure the entire time. Our host was in constant communication to make sure our needs were met. We would definitely recommend this stay!

Our group enjoyed our stay. Bronzeville is a great location because it is central to a lot of things we were interested in doing. The host was very communicative and check-in/check-out was easy. The space was as advertised and well kept, with some updates and charming decor for comfort. There was plenty of space for our party of 5 to spread out. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and the washer/dryer was clutch. It is an older building so we did experience minor things like inconsistent temperature room to room, weak water pressure in one bathroom, and some things in need of repair. However, it was not anything that was overly concerning. If you're looking for a comfortable space in a central location, I'd recommend staying here.

This was my worst Vrbo experience in 20 years of bookings. The photos in the listing are not current. Thruout the unit fixtures were broken or missing pieces. Ex: kitchen trash can is badly dented & won’t close; plywood front of bar is broken all the way thru in several places; broken blinds; closet doors detached & leaning on the wall; 2 sinks missing pieces; panel on tub face held on with tape. Bad DIY jobs incl sloppy paint on cabinets & bath fixtures; curtain rod over master closet hung w/one side 6 in higher than the other; shower curtain @12 in too long so it sucks down the drain. All of this gives the impression of neglect & wringing from the unit without investing in its maintenance.Worse was the mgmt. I had trouble opening the lock when I got to the unit, msged Ajibade and I got in. Without notice he showed up at the door that evening to work on it and was there for a half hour, ultimately changing the batteries. The next day I got a msg saying that a window guy would be coming to the unit between 7:30-9:00am the next day to do repairs. Wth??? I told him I would prefer repairs not be scheduled during our stay. He was clearly annoyed. Next day I started getting msgs (8 total) saying there were too many people tho I told him in my 1st msg & he confirmed I would have 5. He said he was charging another 550. I was there to enjoy my daughter’s graduation, not to have issue after issue from him require my attention. I could go on. A difficult and unpleasant rental.

The unit has been thoroughly inspected, closet doors and fixtures are fully secured, and any necessary cosmetic updates have been completed to ensure the property matches our high standards. Regarding the property management during this stay: Guest Safety & Communication: When the guest experienced a lock issue, I immediately responded and worked with them to resolve it that evening to ensure their safety and seamless access. Maintenance Scheduling: Routine window work was preemptively communicated, but out of respect for the guest's privacy and request, we immediately cancelled the appointment so their stay would not be interrupted. Guest Policy: To maintain safety and property integrity, we enforce a strict occupant limit. When additional guests beyond the agreed-upon reservation size are present, standard policy fees apply.

The place was beautiful. Quiet neighborhood with plenty to do right near by, also close to the museum campus, which is what my family chose to spend most of our time doing. We enjoyed our time with this host, the only reason for a one star with check in, doesn’t reflect on the host. This reflects on VRBO’s customer service team. They were unhelpful to say the least. Once we were able to communicate with our actual host, we were absolutely fine. He is polite, very understanding and helpful. Thanks Ajibade

This is an ideal place for U Chicago and easy access to downtown. Quiet, clean, spacious, thoughtful touches. Excellent communication throughout. Will definitely stay here next time I’m in town!
