Our home away from home!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Hale Pua Kai now four times in the past 7 years. It is the sweetest north shore hideaway you can imagine. The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking/eating tools. The house is cool inside even when it's hot outside. It has an "old Hawai'i" vibe that is just so pleasant. You have easy access to Kepuhi (10 minute walk) and Tunnels (15 minutes walk), both excellent snorkeling beaches. The one thing that was disappointing is the bed, which is a bit soft and sagging. My husband was ok with it but I was less comfortable. However, it is not a deterrent! Hale Pua Kai is our home away from home, and we will be going there every year for as long as we can! Thank you, KVR, for being such excellent hosts.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed staying at this property. The house is in good condition and was very clean. Bed and furniture were comfortable - the photos on the website were accurate. We especially liked having breakfast on the lanai while listening to all the birds in the early morning. The beach is a short walk across the street with several paths that bring you to very different sections of the beach. There are beach chairs and towels provided so you can spend several hours exploring the beach. The Limahuli Garden and Preserve is a mile down the road and is well worth a visit. We had two minor problems which were resolved very quickly by the rental agency. We are looking forward to staying here again in a year or two - we highly recommend this rental.

Wow, what a beautiful spot and this little house was just perfect for us. We went at a hot time, so air conditioning was missed at times but still worth it. We love the location and the seclusion and would love to return someday.

Shout out to Kauai Vacation Rentals, so pro and such a nice staff; they make it a perfect and easy stay. Mahalo!

Rest and Relaxation on the North Shore

Wonderful Cottage

Cozy cottage with several private lanais. Few minutes walk to the beach where we could wander for miles. We had breakfast and dinner on the front lanai most days. We had a great time and look forward to returning!

This is our second time staying near end of the road, on the North shore of Kauai. It's the most beautiful place in the world; the mountains above Hanalei are breathtaking, the state park down the road is beyond words, the Botanical gardens only 5 minutes away from this rental are fantastic, easy shopping only a few minutes away, gorgeous country roads, rolling Hills and beautiful turquoise Waters - It's literally the perfect place to stay. This house was a perfect little Haven amongst all of this. One bedroom, lots of porch space, a well-equipped kitchen. If I had to give any negative, I would say I wish it had air conditioning, but even without we were ok. The walk to the beach is a short 1.5 block walk, and there's another Beach you can walk to that's probably 5 ish blocks away, which is better for swimming. Very walkable in terms of beach access. The yard also has a mango tree, tangerine tree, avocado tree, and plumeria trees (among others). It's heaven on earth.

Beautiful property!

The home was so cute and comfortable! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The house is walking distance to some of the best beaches in the world. I would absolutely stay here again. One thing we didn’t realize is that even when booking with VRBO, we still worked with a third party management company. It didn’t hinder our stay at all but I wasn’t expecting another company to reach out to me asking for my payment information, etc. I like the ease of booking through the app and communicating through the app.
