Another wonderful stay in this idyllic home

This is the second occasion we have stayed at the cottage for a month and can’t wait to return again! Location is heavenly nothing better than sitting on the deck watching the wildlife in the garden and on the York river. The house is also very well situated for Williamsburg with all its attractions. A home from home with regard amenities. Donna and Mike are great hosts and are very responsive to their guests. Would not hesitate to recommend this home.

Beautiful ,well maintained hideaway.

Stayed for a week and the setting is beautiful. We spotted deer, egrets heron and various other birds. The nearby town has lots of nice restaurants and shops. There are lots of interesting places in the area, Williamsburg, Jamestown and a little further Virginia Beach itself. The pool was great and very refreshing for a swim when it gets really hot. An extra treat was the water cooler in the house, really useful .

The house was very clean. Plenty of room for 2 people. Very quiet. Margaret & John was very helpful in time of some help. Had everything you would need for short break or holiday. Would recommend to family and friends.

Less than desirable

My daughter and I stayed at the Cozy Cabin June 3-5th for a quick girls get-away. The house is a small rustic cabin on the York River with modest accommodations. The view of the river is quite lovely. An occasional egret, bald eagle or even dolphins were seen. The first night of our stay, we were overcome with gnats coming out of the drain of the bath tub. Needless to say, we did not sleep very well as they made their way to our bedroom. We texted the owners the next morning and they promptly addressed the problem with a hot vinegar solution. We did not have anymore gnats until the following night. They were not as prolific, but they were a nuisance. We enjoyed our days on the water and touring the middle peninsula, but we will not return to the house
