Always difficult when there are more steps than anticipated. I don’t think I did enough research on the location of the property. That being said, was a lovely apartment.

The location is so central and very clean. Just like the pics. We only gave 4 stars because the bed was much too firm for us. We don’t like a soft bed, but this was much too firm for us. Otherwise it was perfect. We would recommend for North-Americans to know you must push while you are releasing the lock. If you don’t do it while entering the code, the door will not open.

Fantastic place in the heart of old Lisbon

We stayed 2 days in Castle Inn in Descobrimentos apartment. Our stay was amazing, very clean, nice ambience, very cozy. In the evening that area is also quiet and we had no problem with our little son to sleep. We totally recommend this place for families. You'll also enjoy great view from the window!

The host and staff were amazing. They communicated with us throughout our entire stay. Helped with cabs, things to do, restaurants, getting usxan adapter. The list goes on. The apartment we stayed is was beautiful. We had a nice view of the river and overlooked a garden with a lemon tree. It was so charming. Right in the heart of Alfama. We loved it!

Amazing view in historic castle neighborhood

Just a few doors up from São Jorges castle, Castle Inn provides the historical experience of the Alfama neighborhood. We arrived early and were able to leave our luggage there until it was time to check in. We went to tour the castle until check in. Both Alexandria and Inês communicated with me clearly and timely before and during our stay. The apartment was extremely neat and clean. The kitchenette provided many niceties. The bathroom provided everything we needed. At check-out, the host even scheduled a cab to come pick us up. If you choose to stay at Castle Inn, you need to know that it is a steep walk up from the riverfront or other areas. Taxis can drive you there on the narrow roads, but Uber cannot go into the historic area. We found we were tired from a day of site-seeing and even more tired after the hike home. That being said, it was a wonderful place to come home to! I would higjly recommend the experience of staying at Castle Inn!

Location was great! It was easy to walk to many tourist sights! We did not receive the check in code prior to checking and because we did not have cellular data, it was very difficult to check in. Another issue was the tourist tax. They requested we leave euros on the table which we did, however 2 weeks later they were asking for us to pay it again via a payment link.
