This appartment is very well located. Lots of nice restaurants all around the area. It has every convenience and is well kept. Felicidade and her cleaning lady are always available and supply great advice. Remember that it is a “mansarde roof” upstairs…the bedroom is comfy but you need to be mindful of the ceiling. The neighborood can be noisy at night, but to me it’s all part of great experience
This cute and cozy apartment was the perfect base for our 5 days in Lisbon. There are numerous restaurants, cafes, wine bars and grocery stores within a few minutes walk and the charming old neighbourhood of Alfama is an absolute delight to explore on foot. It is close to the route of the number 28 trolley. Many popular attractions such as the castle, Lisboa cathedral, Rossio square, the Time Out market etc. are all within a 20-30 minutes walk. The host provided detailed helpful instructions and advice and responded promptly to any questions.
Felicidade is a thoughtful and very present host. Always available to offer help and answer questions. Her place is located in a great spot of Alfama, walking distance of all the other popular spots in Lisbon. It was perfect for the 4 of us. Thank you Felicidade!
Felicidade’s apartment was clean, cute, and beautifully situated in the heart of Alfama. The stairs to the apartment could be challenging for older folks like me, but we handled it just fine! Lots of restaurants close by, we would stay here again!

Thank you very much,Patti.
You are always welcome to my sace
There were 3 of us and we found the apartment to be just perfect for our needs. Location was good close enough to everything we neeed. Street was full of night life.
Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
This was the most beautiful apartment and place to stay. Very cute and cozy. Felecidade the hostess goes out of her way to assist us, I felt like she was my family. Alfama was the most beautiful place with all the charm surrounding. Look no more and rent this place, you will thank me. The only thing is have some earplugs when you sleep since it is a tourist area but nothing major.
Great location for access to tram, train, metro & walking.
Note: On a very active street for social gathering & refuse pick up @ 0200.
Hostess is very communicative, friendly & helpful.
We loved this gorgeous little place. It did get a little stuffy in the afternoon but the ability to open the doors and windows let a nice breeze in. We were left some goodies when we arrived. Communication with the host was fabulous. Went above and beyond.
My daughter and I spent 5 nights here and it was perfect for us!
The apartment is comfortable and Felicidade shared many tips and she was easy to reach via WhatsApp.
IThe apartment is situated near many cafes and fado bars and a 15 minute walk to the Santa Apolónia train station. Uber/Bolt serves the area but will not pickup or drop off at the door so if you have any mobility issues you may not want to stay in Alfama- lots of hills and stairs wherever you go.
We found the Portuguese people to be welcoming, kind and helpful. Wonderful stay!

Didn't meet our requirements
Ad indicated there was onsite parking, which isn't the case. We only stayed for 1 night if the 3 nights booked. The noise from the bars was very loud and went on all night. We got to sleep at 4Am. We were babysitting our gransdon for the following 2 nights and he wouldn't be able to sleep with all the noise. We informed the host that we were leaving and requested a refund, but none was received. Also of note the beds are very uncomfortable.

Dear Randall,
Regarding your stay in my apartment and your comment, so that the truth and facts of what happened are clear, I refer you to my following comments:
- You unilaterally decided to leave the Apartment after the first day of your stay, claiming:
- That the advertisement refers to the existence of parking at the apartment. This is not what is described in the Advertisement. I warned you, several days before your check-in (in writing), that
there is a free parking lot near the Apartment that is only open on some days of the week and that, on the other days, there are other paid parking lots nearby. As you should have seen and I reinforced, my Apartment is located in the oldest and most typical neighbourhood of Lisbon, where only authorized vehicles enter.
- You also mentioned noise in the street at night. My windows are noise-proof (high quality). Did you close the windows properly? With these windows, I have not had any complaints about noise
(quite the opposite!). In the extreme case, if there was indeed an exceptional situation, you should have contacted me immediately so that I could act, as I am available 24 hours a day for my Guests.
- Refund Request: - You wrote that you has requested it and that I did not return it. Immediately after you told me that you were leaving the Apartment, I have sent
messages through VRBO asking you to cancel and free up the days to allow new reservations and, also for the
cancellation fee calculation. You did not do
so, nor did you ask VRBO for help. As a host, I should not cancel. In short, you let the deadline pass. Are you holding me responsible for this? I was very transparent. I confirmed that I would
make the refund after you cancel. I regret what happened, but the responsibility for what happened is only yours.
In the end, your stay caused me a great deal of harm because you did not free up the days for a new reservation.
I also remind you of the following (because your attitude is ungrateful: - When my
housekeeper started cleaning, right after you left, she found 2 gold earrings and a gold ring (I estimate a value to be approximately $3,000). She immediately contacted me and I contacted you
through several channels. Your wife immediately returned to the apartment and picked up the forgotten gold objects, thinking that she had lost them
in the street... Unfortunately, from your side, not a
single word of thanks was included in your comment. In fact, you did not even pay the full amount of the Tourist Tax. Well, I have to correct myself: - You
even paid. You gave a bad score to all the items evaluated.
I have been a VRBO Host for 10 years. I have always honored my commitment to do my best to serve my Guests. I have already instructed VRBO to refund you €204 (more than the amount owed).
One final word to tell you something I have never told any of the thousands of Guests I have hosted in my Apartments: - You are not welcome in my Apartment.
Regards,
Felicidade

overall very good but some things to know
the owner and cleaning lady were wonderful, helpful, friendly and available and the apartment was very clean. they arranged airport pickup and luggage dropoff before check in. issues to know if staying here: the neighborhood is extremely noisy late into the night and it was difficult to sleep even with the windows closed. the loft bedroom has a sloped ceiling and one has to remember to get out of bed and duck so as to not hit one’s head. the downstairs bathroom is tiny and the upstairs shower difficult for my 6’1” boyfriend

Dear Mary, Thank you for your comment. My focus is always to provide the best possible living conditions for my guests. I am deeply sorry if something did not go according to your expectations. This apartment of mine is located in the center of the most typical neighborhood in Lisbon (Alfama) in a historic area where the vast majority of buildings (as is the case), are hundreds of years old and have architectural characteristics (for example, in terms of ceiling height ), inherent to the time in which they were built. The neighborhood (Alfama) is a lively place where you can feel the pulse of the old city. It follows that sometimes there may be some type of street gathering (whether residents or tourists), that goes beyond the quiet hours in Lisbon (which are 11pm). In these cases (which, anyway, are rare), I ask that the Guest contact me so that I can inform the Police authorities to act. I also recommend that the windows are always tightly closed at night (the apartment has air conditioning).
Best Regards,
Felicidade
The unit itself is in such a great location. Everything was walkable, lots of great restaurants and bakeries nearby. It was spotless and had everything stocked well. Communication with the owner was good and lots of recommendations given about the area and what to so. The only problem that was quite significant was there was only hot water for the first morning we were there. The unit is a bit warm at night for sleeping. We went the next two days without a full shower because the water was totally cold. It is an old building, which makes it quite lovely, but hot water is something that is a need for us. If you don’t mind cold showers then not an issue.

Dear Kate,
I've read carefully your comment.
I've appreciated your positive feedback about my apartment, however, I cannot agree with your comment regarding the hot water and, moreover, your conclusion and "recommendation" to futute Guests just because it is not true and totally unfair.
Hot water is provided in the apartment by a water heater. The water heaters takes some time (less than 1 minute), to provide hot water, when the tap is opened, because the heater must start heating the water and we have to wait a bit...
Just after the check-in, you have sent to me a message by Whatsapp saying "Hi Felicidade. There seems to be not hot water". Exactly just 9 minutes later, you sent to me another message by whatsapp saying "It's OK, it finally came. Thank you."
I've informed before the check in that I would be out of Portugal during some days with significant limitations accessing iinternet connections and, if you have any issue, I've informed you to please contact my House Keeper.
If you had issues again with the hot water (or any other), you should have contacted my House Keeper and, you didn't! Why?
I never had any complain about the hot water in my apartment and if I had, the situation would be solved with the maximum urgency. But you take a precipated and unfair conclusion. Sorry to say but, it was not nice.
Best regards,
Felicidade
We stayed for 5 days in this well situated and cozy apartment. We walked the area easily, accessed tram 28, did a day trip to Sintra and also visited Belém. We were met by the housekeeper who kindly let us in and showed us around. We had good communication with Felicidade and really enjoyed our time in Lisbon. We were unaware of a big festival happening before we arrived so it was quite noisy but when you arrive in a city during celebrations, you celebrate! It was like nothing we had ever experienced before. I am curious what our stay would be like during a quieter time, but we enjoyed ourselves very much. The apartment is clean and well organized. We cooked simple meals, did our laundry and slept comfortably. We are 6 feet tall and couldn’t stand up in the upstairs bathroom but that didn’t bother us, but for someone even taller, it might be a challenge. Lisbon was an amazing city to visit and this apartment was a great spot to relax and rest at the end of the day. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
The location of the suite is absolutely perfect despite all of the windy/ steep & confusing roads in the Alfama district (google maps is your friend). There are numerous restaurants, grocery stores, close to many tourist sites etc. We were extremely pleased with this VRBO find! We found the area to be safe & the apartment had a very secure lock. We were told that the building was built in 1749. When you enter the narrow door, climb up the beautiful wood steep stairs you can appreciate the incredible renovation they had done. Inside the apartment, everything has been updated keeping the main structure. The stairs are steep & narrow, kitchen & bathrooms were small and cramped BUT it was a fantastic place to stay. The apartment was quiet at night, The owners provided beer, water, & wine waiting in the fridge. The cramped kitchen had everything you needed to cook, salt/ pepper, oils, cooking pots, tea bags, Nespresso, crackers & cleaning supplies. The window opened for fresh air. They provided: toilet paper, shampoo, soap. The living/ dining area had hardwood floors, TV, very comfortable L shaped couch that provided enough space for two to sit, a table & chairs for four. The main floor bedroom was small & off the kitchen area. The kitchen light shines through the window, The upstairs bedroom was large but areas of the room required bending down. The ensuite bathroom was small. It is awkward to use the toilet & shower as the roof sloped. We LOVED staying here & highly recommend.
Apartamento muito bom, bem equipado, ótima localização!Recepção de Dona Felicidade muito boa! Tudo limpo e arrumado! Fomos recebidos com mesa posta, pão, manteiga, geleia e vinho!
