Our 3 generation family thoroughly enjoyed the house and grounds. Rooms were all clean and spacious. Kitchen was well-equipped with anything that we needed. There was always something to do, both indoors and outside. Location was great. Very close to town of Hampton Bays and about 10 minutes to Meschutt Beach. Michelle was very easy to communicate with and promptly responded to any questions or problems that we had.

Family Getaway

Great Hamptons house with tons of activities

My group and I had a great time at this house. We especially enjoyed all the outdoor seating, pool, and volleyball court. The host was responsive to any inquiries we had as well

Plenty of space

There are ample places to sit & converse. It was a pleasure swimming in a heated pool at the end of September! We all enjoyed our stay.

Excellent experience !

We had a large group ranging from 2 years old to 81 years old. Plenty of space and activities for everyone. Entire process from booking trip, communication, checking in to checking out was seamless. Looking forward to another magical family vacation at this house !

Great vacation for our group

We had a lovely family vacation at this property. It was perfect for our group, with enough beds for all of us. Marilyn and Michelle were very responsive when we reached out when there were issues with hot tub/pool. The outside areas could use some care/decluttering, but we felt everything inside was very clean. Pool was the highlight! Would definitely recommend and would stay again!

Wonderful Week!!

Marilyn and Michelle were wonderful hosts. So easy to work with and always checking in to make sure everything was ok. The house had plenty of bedrooms and very spacious for our large family. Plenty of bathrooms and LOTS of towels. The pool was perfect! The hot tub was great. Plenty of space outside to sit and eat. We loved sitting on the porch. The volleyball court was a little overgrown but the rest of the place made up for it. We had a wonderful week!!

fantastic stay

This was a magnificent sprawling home with all amenities anyone could ask for. Starting with the huge pool, 7 person hot tub, sand beach volleyball court, basketball court and amazing recreation room with ping pong, billiards and tons of other games my kids and grand kids enjoyed. We were warmly welcomed by the owner who reviewed all the things in the house. She answered all our questions with great knowledge. She prepared a book of places of interest and restaurants for us. We felt like we were in a five star resort with our own concierge. The house was beautifully decorated and air conditioned perfectly. The bedrooms were huge and the bathrooms had tubs (as well as showers) which my grand-kids loved. This home was the perfect vacation place for all of us. Our large family (i have 5 kids and 7 grand kids) was spacious for all of us. Most of the time I could not find my children as the property and house was so large. We loved the outdoor activities. While my kids played volleyball, I watched my grand kids turn into prunes in the pool. They were so thrilled with all the pool toys. This vacation was a once in a lifetime event as I celebrated my 80th birthday during the month. I loved everything about the house, the grounds and the owner. It is my pleasure to offer this review

Relaxing until the end....then disappointed

Upon arrival we met with the owners daughter. She was very informative and gave us a nice welcome gift. We had a 7 night stay and we were very happy with the property. It can definitely use some updating in the house and some of the beds were absolutely terrible. The 1st day the electric wasn't working in one of the downstairs bedrooms. Immediately she sent her husband and all was fine. Alot of 'stuff' in the house. Lots of chairs and clutter, but anything you need was there. Cleaned all patio furniture for a bbq, and left the patio furniture more organized then when I arrived. So the biggest reason for the disappointment is when the owner arrived almost a full hour before I was due to checkout. I was leaving some food because they said it is given to the homeless. BUT she rushed us out. Just opened the door and started calling my name. I for got at least hundreds of $$ of items there....including my insulin. Nothing would have been forgotten had she come to the house at the given checkout time. There was no reason for her crew to come and service the property until we left. And she stated no one would be occupying the property at that time. We could have been swimming in the pool til checkout time. But unfortunately turned my relaxing week into chaos at the very end. Overall I had a nice stay but Marilyn ruined it at the very end.

Hi Krista my sincerest apology for your disappointment. I arrived 15 minutes before your check out time, and your daughter was still sleeping, there was absolutely nothing left in the house such as insulin, only some half eaten foods in the fridge which we could not donate, but had to dispose of. The downstairs bedrooms were in total disarray with all the sheets piled on one bed. We had requested as part of our check out procedure “to please not remove sheets from the beds”. We had to dispose of some of our towels as they had terrible stains and could no longer be used, but you were not charged for same. When you were leaving I asked if all was good and you stated “we had a great time”. I asked if we warranted a five star review and you said you would be happy to give us one. I mentioned that our prior guest had been with us for 17 years and since not renting thru vrbo could not give us a review. I am sorry you were disappointed and hope we can make it up to you in the future. Kindest regards Marilyn

Large family get-together

This house was the perfect choice for our family. There was plenty of space and privacy when needed plus large gathering areas where we could all comfortably be together. My grandchildren loved the game room. The house had everything we needed for cooking for those nights that we stayed in, but was so conveniently located that going out to restaurants in Hampton Bays or Southhampton was really easy. Marilyn and staff run a very professional operation and were super responsive for the few times we needed them. We had a great time.

Great family facility, Possibly the best VRBO host i've ever experienced

We stayed here over 4th of July weekend with 3 other families, and had a wonderful time. The house itself is a little on the old side but was more than made up for with how thorough and responsive Marilyn was throughout our stay. When we arrived, Marilyn's daughter greeted us at the house and walked through a tour of the house and everything we needed to know. This is not typical of most of the VRBO locations we stay in but was actually really appreciated. The facilities of the house were great, including the pool and the game room, with plenty of bedrooms and fold out sleeping spaces. The few times we needed some repairs with the dishwasher etc. Marilyn had someone sent out and arriving at our house within the hour. She even had same day delivery for some frying pans when we couldn't find any in the house! The only feedback I would have for Marilyn would be to maybe invest a little in some of the basic appliances like the microwave and the dishwasher, but everything else was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Perfect arrival - easy to find.

Was comfortable as soon as we arrived - even enjoyed picking from the choice of bedrooms. Relaxing back porch - enjoyed watching the sunrise. Pool & hot tub were terrific. The whole clan enjoyed the location, nearby restaurants and activities. Even loved cooking in the great kitchen and had lovely family dinner at the dining table with view. Ate out side as well. We drove to 2 nearby beaches. Will definitely book this property again. The house was so perfect, we all even enjoyed the few rainy hours inside. Marilyn was great with her knowledge of the area and full of suggestions of things to do. Loved the immediate response to a question we had. Hampton Bays and Southampton had all to offer for our vacation

Lovely home with all the amenities

We really enjoyed our stay at Rivers Edge. The view from the patio was so peaceful and refreshing. This home has every amenity you could imagine. Comfortable beds, clean and comfy living area, well appointed kitchen. The owner was available at a moments notice to answer the few questions we had. I would highly recommend this for a stay away from the hustle and bustle that the Hamptons can exhibit!

Lovely Home

Family Reunion in the Hamptons

Our family had a lovely time during our stay at this house, the amenities were great and we had a warm welcome when we got there. The pool, hot tub, and game room were all above our expectations. We will be going again sometime in the future because we love this house and the Hamptons which we found out is a lively town with so much to do.

Cousions vacation in the Hampton's

My cousins and I decided that we wanted to do something that we have never done before so we decided to rent a house in the Hamptons. When we first came across this house it seemed to good to be true. The price seemed way to affordable for such a big house. When we contacted the homeowner about the price she informed me that the price was correct. We decided then that we were going to take the house. When we arrived at the house we were in complete awe. The house was enormous. We were all very happy with our decision to rent this home. We all had a great time. Thanks Marilyn

Perfect For Our Golfing Family

We cannot rave enough about this house. It was spacious and all the bedrooms were huge. Having five bathrooms in the house made our lives much easier for all the ladies in the family. The owner was easy to work with, she recommended places to visit and restaurants to eat at. Our two week vacation flew by so fast between swimming in the oversized pool, playing volleyball, enjoying the family size hot tub or just watching a movie (we each had our own 42” flat screen TV) in our bedroom. This was just like a luxury resort at a reasonable price. I’m most certainly coming back next year once everyone has a convenient date for all in mind.

FABULOUS FIND

This home was an absolute fabulous find. The amenities this home offered our family was outstanding. Starting with the owner who was extremely accommodating. She helped us find our way around the Hamptons. It was our first time here. She organized several family functions for us, all without any charge. The house was very large and very full with out huge extended family. All the beds were made with clean crisp linens when we arrived. Tons of towels were in all the bathrooms. Our family did not need to scramble for any of these at all. The kitchen came equipped with an excessive amount of dishes and glasses. There were even margarita glasses and wine stemware. We arrived very late and did not see the pool when we arrived. We woke the next morning to a sparkling clean very very large pool. What a treat it was for my daughters to just run and jump in. My boys played basketball on the paved basketball court. My husband, sister-in-law and brother all played volleyball. This was a fabulous home at a very reasonable rate. I know, I checked out lots of other homes on the internet and this one surpassed our expectations. I am certain our family will be renting this home again. We would recommend this home to anyone looking to a huge home, at a great rate and with all the amenities that were there. Needless to say, we loved our vacation and this home.

RETURNING FAMILY & GUESTS

OUR VACATION WAS PERFECT IN 2011 AND WE HAVE ALREADY BOOKED FOR 2012. THE HOUSE WAS PRIVATE, BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED AND IMMACULATE. CATCHING UP ON MY REST AND TIME WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS BY THE GORGEOUS POOL WAS JUST WHAT i NEEDED. I PLAYED VOLLEYBALL, MY KIDS PLAYED BASKETBALL AND THE EVENING WERE ENJOYED IN THE WONDERFUL RECREATION ROOM OUTFITTED WITH ALL THE GAMES AND TABLES ANY KID COULD WANT. I CAN'T WAIT TO DO IT AGAIN. Immaculate Accomadations

The house was spotlessly clean and perfectly suited for our large family. The owner was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the area. The decor was beautiful, the kitchen was fully eqipped and the house was very well located. We could walk to town or walk to the bay beach. From the moment the owner welcomed us, the entire vacation lived up to our high expectations. Our whole family felt at home.
