Lovely cottage in great location. Score for cleanliness relates to following items: dirty oven, soiled oven glove & sizeable stain on cushions of one sofa.

This is an ideal cottage if you want some peace and tranquility within a picturesque location. The living accommodation is on 3 levels so be aware there are 2 flights of stairs to get to all the amenities. The cottage kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils, etc you need and the living room and beds make for a very comfortable stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Great little Cottage.
Great little Cottage. Stayed here for 5 nights and it was perfect for a family of 4. The beds were extremely comfy, facilities were adequate for the length of the stay. The only downside was the lack of a freezer which was fine for 5 nights but would have become an issue if we had stayed longer. Also, the small window in the bedroom really needs a curtain or blind.

We enjoyed staying at Rock Cottage and for our needs it was in a good position, only a few miles from Bowness, Windermere and Ambleside. We were disappointed that the local pub was actually an expensive restaurant which would have been lovely for a special occasion but it wasn’t what we wanted, somewhere to walk to on an evening for a drink and an inexpensive meal. The cottage had everything we needed, was warm and comfortable. Our only issue was the oven hadn’t been cleaned, there were greasy tins in it which wasn’t very pleasant. That aside we would visit again if we wanted to explore that area again.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location, lovely village.
A lovely cottage in a beautiful location, lovely village. We equipped. Comfortable beds. Would be even better if some logs, dishwasher tablets, washing liquid, bin bags etc. were provided, as it means complete packs of everything need to be purchased to use the equipment and keep things clean. Moan over, we had lovely week's stay, thank you.

Great place to stay for visiting the lakes.
Great place to stay for visiting the lakes. We were touring on a motorcycle and the parking was not really suitable due to access and gravel. However the Vicarage was just opposite and the Reverend let us leave the bike on his hard standing, a donation to St Marys parish church and everyones happy!!

What a fabulous little cottage.
What a fabulous little cottage. This is much bigger than the photos show, it is 3 storey, well modernised and equip and perfect for a staycation.
We stayed as a family of 3 for 5 nights in August and used it as a base to explore all areas of the Lake District.
It is set in a lovely little village and yes there are no local shops in this village that doesn’t matter as you are so close to other local towns you can pick up what you need there and we also took lots of food, drinks etc with us.
We were sad to leave and would stay here again and definitely recommend to anyone thinking of staying here.
The cottage was spotless and we still had towels and cleaning items provided (despite being advised we may not so went prepared)
