About this property
A beautiful Cabin on the 5 star White Cross Bay in a quiet area of the park -
A modern 2 Bedroom and 2 Bathroom lodge with all the amenities needed to make it a home from home.
Our lodge is on a quiet cul de sac location on the park which has parking for two cars so even during the busy periods it’s a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of some areas of the park, it’s a two minute walk to reception for the main parks facilities and a five minute walk to the marina and lakeside picnic area.
We are very happy to have your furry family members at no extra charge, the site is dog friendly and there are some lovely walks on site, dogs are allowed in the main restaurant but we also know lots of amazing pubs and restaurants that our dog Daisy approves of too so just ask and I’ll give you a list, Can we just ask that dogs are checked for fleas/ticks before staying and treated if necessary , if they are going on our furniture please bring blankets to cover our sofas as the furniture is leather and also please can you keep your dogs off the beds, if they do sleep with you please can we ask you bring your own duvet or a blanket big enough to cover the entire bed as we are regularly replacing bedding due it being ruined by dogs either by excessive shedding which takes too long to clean, very muddy paw prints which we love but can’t get out of our bright white bedding or the lovely pawing and nesting our furry friends do! we do absolutely love having your pets stay but we do need to put housekeeping processes in place for your comfort and for that of other guests, we don’t want to have to take deposits for damage that dogs may do to our bedding or furniture so please can we ask you follow our policy above as we don’t ever want to not accept dogs to stay, we are very dog friendly!
If you don’t have pets but still would like to stay it is thoroughly cleaned before your stay and anti allergy and cleaning products for houses with pets can be used if required, just let me know beforehand and it definitely does not smell of wet dog!!!!
The Park itself has a bar/restaurant as well as extensive leisure facilities and a small shop in which you can buy the basic essentials, it has its own marina so if you have a boat ask at reception about using their facilities , there is a children’s play area and the park put on regular entertainment for families so again check with reception to see what’s on!
We do not provide high chairs or travel cots anymore unfortunately due to them going missing but should you need either for your stay just ask and I will see if I can arrange for one to be available for you for the duration of your stay (just be aware that this is not guaranteed as it does depend on if white cross bay does have any spare stock available)
We do provide tea, coffee & sugar but no longer provide fresh milk, i can provide this on request if needed but due to sometimes there being a few days in between cleaning and your arrival we can’t guarantee it still being fresh and in date, The on-site shop does sell milk which is a two minute walk from our lodge,
We are a self catering lodge but we do provide one toilet roll in each bathroom and a couple of dishwasher tablets to get you started ( as well as washing up liquid and cloths etc) we also supply you with fresh linen and towels We have WiFi in our lodge but due to the area of the park it can be temperamental, Just select the park WiFi in your list and you should connect automatically without a password, The main TV is a smart tv which has Netflix, and the catch up streaming services but not Amazon Prime or Disney unfortunately
There is also a normal TV in the master bedroom
Please be aware that the park has a marina so you cannot walk around Windermere lake from here, it has a picnic area so you can sit and relax and watch the boats but you definitely cannot walk around it! There is a lovely woodland walk around the park and lots of walks outside of the parks entrance just ask if you would like any more info on those walks.
Check in information will be sent to you the week of your stay so please log in to your account a day or two before check in to receive the lock box code etc

What a wonderful lodge. Clean, tidy and very welcoming. Perfect for our stay. Great site, with decent club house and located perfectly for local attractions. Communication with the owner was excellent. We will definitely stay here again.
Wonderful communication, really thoughtful list of local attractions was very handy. The dog box was a very welcome touch (especially since we ran out of poo bags), everything was just perfect, would stay again!
Amazing lodge, felt very homely and welcoming, extremely clean and well maintained. Very pet friendly ! Love the idea of having a pet box stocked with toys, poo bags and pet accessories. Extremely well priced considering it was mothers day weekend will 100% be staying again in the near future.
Lovely comfortable lodge. Great beds, lovely and warm and great if you have a dog. Location was great but you do need a car to get to local towns (Ambleside and Windermere).Stunning park right on a Marina. Lovely bar and shop.Great comms from the owners and we would definitely stay again.
The lodge was lovely and in a good location on the Parkdean site, which is conveniently located between windermere and ambleside. Good communication with Helen, who gave good recommendations of things to do and where to go. The lodge is really spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. We don't have a dog bit noted the lovely basket and treats for guests with dogs which was a nice touch. The photos don't do the lodge justice.
Cant praise Daisy Lodge highly enough. This is a prefect place to have a break at the lakes. We have stopped here a few times now and we will be planning to stop again.
Lovely peaceful situated lodge, our 2 labradors loved it, pet treats etc were a lovely gesture, everything was 1st class, definitely recommend .Thank you for making us have an enjoyable stayHeather, Anita, Abby and Mia
If you are thinking of booking 11 Coniston, book it. It’s amazing. From point of booking through to leaving the communication with the owner was first class,It immaculate inside and out.Book it, you wont regret it.
We stayed here for two nights to celebrate a birthday, having stayed here last year. It is a very convenient location for the buses into Ambleside and Keswick which we used to begin our walks up Wansfell Pike and around Derwentwater. Returning from these walks tired, we were greeted with a homely warm lodge with all the facilities we needed for those few days. The bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of hot water for the showers.
A very clean, well equipped lodge in a perfect location. A short walk to the lake and 15 minutes to Brockhole on Windermere. We would happily stay there again.
