Noisy and not just the roadworks
Sent a code to access keys but had to be helped by someone as it wasn't clear where they were (in a box to the side of the gate) and the keybox is not marked. They are rebuilding the road outside Los Arenas (badly) so outside was like a building site. The apartment is on the top level (3rd) but the outside balcony was dirty. This may be because of the roadworks but I mopped it clean and it stayed clean so it should have been done. Door lock was stiff but olive oil on the keys and lock cured that.Inside was clean though sealing on the shower was starting to fail. No AC and no fan so had to have the windows open (bedroom window is bent from the inside, but does close). Kettle is a metal whistling kettle on an electric hob but the whistle is broken so potentially unsafe if you forget about it. The complex is a bit faded and needs a few repairs. Pool was popular though we never used it. Location-wise, the complex is reasonably close to shops and restaurants but the roadworks make the route a dusty maze. Previously stayed in an apartment a couple of doors down, before the roadworks and that was very noisy. Didn't realise this was same side. Noise is from Smy Tahoma Hotel behind and comes from their kitchen fans, early food delivery lorries with noisy engines and refrigeration, early collection of recycling noisy bottles and loud delivery people. Roadworks made it worse but they don't seem to work long. Rentals are going up in price but this was too much for what it was.
