Great holiday in a great home

Great, quiet location. Easy to drive to local towns and activities, most of what we did was within 30-35 mins. The pool was great to return to and it showed us to have a lovely relaxing holiday.

The property is perfect for a family stay. There are local activities for people of all ages so you will not be short on things to do. The house is well kept and has everything you need for your stay including games, table tennis, DVDs and satellite TV, etc.

Perfect getaway

We had a lovely, relaxing week at Les Volets Bleus. The villa is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. We loved spending time in the pool and all the additional entertainment- games, dvds, bikes, table tennis etc really added to our stay. Carcassonne is a great place to visit and we had a great day out at the Parc Aquaviva. All in all a wonderful stay!

Enjoyable holiday home

We loved the property. The house, pool and garden were all delightful. A great holiday. We found it strange that there were no free to view television channels to entertain our disabled son who was hoping to watch the euros.

Thank you for your 5 star review, we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. The streaming device on the TV provides access to all the usual global apps (Netflix, Amazon, Disney, NordVPN etc) for guests to login to their own accounts in their preferred language, as well as numerous French TV channels. Unfortunately, the England games in the group stages of the Euros were not shown on these channels, we therefore recommended a great local sport bar/restaurant.

In The Heart of the French Countryside

The villa was fine. A bit remote, because we booked last minute.

The facilities at the house are excellent, including an enormous and deep pool, table tennis, and trampoline in lovely gardens. The rooms are great sizes, and the kitchen is well equipped. The house and grounds need some TLC. There is very limited internet coverage. Marc and Kay were very helpful and responsive.

Home from home

The house feels like a proper home from home, if you like comfortable surroundings with plenty of well thumbed, interesting books, kids toys, well stocked kitchen and plenty of space for everybody. And then there is the pool! And what a pool it is, private and long enough for lengths and diving, with a shallow end a seven year old could handle. Some parts of the house could be considered a little worn, but in a very good, loved way - Just as it should be. A designer pad it is not, but somewhere to hide away and switch off? 100%. There was a trampoline, outdoor table tennis, bikes - Everything you could want, and you have one of the most varied and beautiful areas of France all around you. We loved it and as much as we like to try new places every holiday, I wouldn't hesitate to head back here. We stayed in late May and the weather was great, during the summer I'm sure it gets hot here but there's plenty of shade for everybody and the house stayed lovely and cool downstairs all day.
