Neidpath Barmkin sits within the curtilage wall of Neidpath, and once housed the kitchens for the great castle. The large living room has an open log fire, TV and wonderful views over the river. The property is all on one floor with a Kingsize fourposter with ensuite shower room, a Twin zip & link Room and Double Boxed Bedroom plus a family bathroom and family shower room. The eat-in kitchen is well equipped and there is garden space front and back with table and chairs, as well as a lockable shed with bike rack and outside tap. The historic and lively town of Peebles is a 10 minute walk away.

Neidpath Castle has been passed down through the centuries since the 1100s, when it was first built by the Frasers. Most recently, it was inherited by the Wemyss family in 1810 and is still owned by a branch of that family today.

Neidpath Barmkin, is uniquely situated high above the great River Tweed, in the walls of the ancient castle, first built in the 1100s. The Barmkin provides light filled, peaceful accommodation, with comfortable beds, including a luxurious four poster, and a cosy open log fire. Nearby Peebles, has a host of delightful shops and museums as well as a theatre/cinema. Day trips to Edinburgh, by bus, are one of the best ways to enjoy the capital whilst staying in rural peace.
