Lovely spot

This was a fabulous place to stay. Stunning views and peace and quiet. A little chilly when we first arrived but we asked for the heating to be adjusted as we’re southern softies and we soon warmed up. Would definitely recommend

Absolutely amazing stay

The place is magical. The most beautiful location on a hill, surrounded by grazing sheep. Close enough to everything. The place itself of the highest quality and well equipped. Do not miss the tour of Neidpath Castle!

Almost better than Barns Tower? Very nearly!

Having been lucky enough to stay in Barns Tower twice before and loving the area, I was disappointed that it wasn’t available on the dates we needed. Scrolled through various sites and although some nice places for sure, none lived up to the magic of Barns or were quadruple the price if they did. Had the brainwave to look at the Neidpath website and saw Townhead-incredibly available on our dates. Spotting it on the drive through the farm was breathtaking for its beauty and location but inside was even better. It was beautifully furnished and finished, the history enhanced by thoughtfulness the whole way through. Perfect in its imperfections, an absolute pleasure and privilege to have stayed here. The outside bath must also be mentioned. We hate the big plastic hot tub and wouldn’t dream of ever getting in one, the bath on the other hand, just absolutely amazing and with the views, just the cherry on top. Must of course mention the treats left for us and the well stocked cupboards etc. Already dreaming of our next stay. Highly recommend

The most wonderful stay

This place is just perfect. So beautifully designed. We loved every minute and so pleased with the lovely treats left for us. We even had a beautiful decorated Christmas tree. We will be back. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Great getaway

The place was beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. The owners left us with some breakfast provisions as well. Can't imagine a better place to stay in this part of Scotland.

A lovely restoration. Really comfortable beds , beautiful decor,fabulous views, can’t fault it

We loved this place. Used to live in Edinburgh and this was a revisit to old haunts. So sad we had 3 out of 4 days due to a member of our party having an unforeseeable seizure so we commuted to Borders General for 2 days ! We would love to return for a proper break!!

Fantastic place to stay

Beautiful property in a stunning location. Really comfortable - we didn't want to leave. The outdoor bath was good fun, especially when the weather went downhill. Just 10mins from Peebles so a really handy location. The kids loved it too.

A gorgeous comfortable house with glorious views

We really enjoyed having views on all four sides and walks out the door. The house was really well equipped and of a high spec, with a really comfortable bed and opulent bathroom. We also loved the outdoor bath. We would come back!

Townhead is an exceptional home for comfort and elegance. We enjoyed our stay with friends, quiet and peaceful location, a short drive to Peebles and Innerleithen. We enjoyed it so much we have booked for a few days in Summer 2024.

Delightful albeit remote

A very beautiful house with excellent facilities and wonderful views. Much as we loved the location, however, it is quite remote so not a place to stay if you like to pop into town often.

Peace and Tranquility

Absolutely loved this place. The property was exactly as described and the location was beautiful. If you’re looking for a spacious, well equipped and comfortable place that’s close enough to everything that Peebles has to offer while being remote enough to provide peace and tranquility then we would highly recommend this property.
