Located in St Ives, this cottage is in a rural area and by the sea. While the natural beauty of Carbis Bay Beach and St. Michael's Mount can be enjoyed by anyone, those looking for an activity can explore St Ives Harbour.
St Ives Society of Artists and St Ives Museum are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with jet skiing and kayaking nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with cycling and hiking/biking trails.
Honeysuckle cottage is clean, modern and comfortable. The space inside the property has been optimised to provide all of the facilities that you need to make this a great base for a visit to the area. Probably not ideal if you have a couple of kids as the living space is small - although in the summer you'll be able to use the small enclosed garden.Ian the host is really friendly and the communication before and during our stay was ideal. We'd happily go back!
Great place to stay, having an en suite for both bedrooms was fantastic. Such a beautiful quiet location and only a 10 minute drive to St Ives. Ian and Sue were very welcoming and made sure we had all we needed. Would stay again.
We had a wonderful stay! The place was quiet, very clean, and in a great location. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, always available if we needed anything. The apartment had everything we needed – nothing was missing. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended!
The cottage is in a quiet rural area and great for exploring West Cornwall. The hosts were really helpful and the beds comfy. Compact but fine for our short trip

Enjoyed our stay. Lovely quite location. Lots to do around St Ives. Small cottage, part of the owners complex.
June 2025, 4 nights, would recommend the property, 2 en-suite double bedrooms, exceptionally clean. Ample cutlery, crockery and all mod cons. Ian was there to welcome us and was available if needed.
Venue easy to find, spotlessly clean, owners friendly and very helpful. Good facilities. Apart from closures on A30 we were able to get to a variety of locations without trouble. would come again.
We stayed here for 4 nights and we loved this property because they provided everything from Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron and all other kitchen items, Towels, blanket’s every single items. Also it was nice and clean property so we enjoyed lot.
Highly recommended.
We loved our stay at Honeysuckle cottage. We spent 5 days at the cottage and we were greeted by the owners. We booked the cottage for our honeymoon and so that we could surprise relatives. The cottage eas central to erte we needed to be. We are looking at booking the cottage again for next year

Pros. Lovely and clean, friendly welcome, good parking, everything we needed.
Cons. One bedroom door wouldnt shut, very narrow lanes approaching cottage.
Overall a brilliant place, peaceful and quiet.
My family and I had a fantastic holiday at Honeysuckle Cottage. The location is perfect - a peaceful countryside haven after the excitement and bustle of St Ives harbour. Being a rural setting it is beautifully quiet and great for sleeping. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need for a holiday in this stunning part of Cornwall. The walk into St Ives was one of the most enjoyable parts of our stay, with spectacular views over Carbis bay and the harbour as you approach St Ives (around 35- 40 mins on foot). You can also take the train from Carbis bay for one of the most stunning coastal train rides in Britain (less than a couple of pounds for a return ticket). Ian and Sue are lovely hosts - attentive and kind without ever being intrusive. They are always on hand and are very helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Honeysuckle Cottage as a wonderful place to stay and to explore St Ives, Carbis Bay and the whole south west of Cornwall.
Nice cottage but you need to take into account there are no views out of the property - only the view out of the back door (when open) onto the small enclosed garden.
The cleanliness of the property is OK but lacked attention to detail. There was some food which had been left in the fridge by previous guests which was was causing the fridge to smell and unfortunately the temperature of the fridge was too low (with no way to alter it) causing food to almost freeze.
The property did small quite musty/damp for the first couple of days.
Unfortunately there was no welcome pack, not even a pint of milk in the fridge which was disappointing.
Despite all the negatives, it is very reasonably priced place to stay with two double bedrooms, each with ensuite and it is ideally located for visiting the St.Ives area.

Iam sorry you had such a bad stay
the reason the fridge was so cold
Was because you broke the door on the on the compartment.there is a control nob inside of the fridge to adjust the Temperature
The food waist was a cut lemon we left in because the guests that left before you arrived had bought a very smelly French cheese, we
Do are very best to make sure the cottage is at its best for are guests hence are high reviews.Sorry again
Quiet location with wonderful views when on the property grounds. The cottage was a perfect size for 4 people. Walkers have a 35 min walk to st ives. The drive there can be difficult as its single lane country roads but we had no issues. Beaches with 15 mins but parking is a bit troublesome in the summer. The hosts were always available for help. Would visit again.
An comfortable cottage in an ideal location for a short stay in West Cornwall
Honeysuckle Cottage is a small but very comfortable cottage just a few miles from St Ives, in a small farm courtyard on a quiet country lane. It was very easy to find, and parking was easy also, right next to the property. The kitchen and living area was small but had everything we needed for the two of us to cook for ourselves and relax in the evenings. The two en suite double bedrooms were comfortable and spacious and, although we had a couple of nights of strong winds and heavy rain, we stayed snug. The house was warm and clean and the area quiet and dark, which was all we needed. Thanks to Ian and Sue for the warm welcome.

The cottage was in a lovely area but a bit out of the way, which didn't bother us. The bed in the main bedroom was a bit hard ,needs a topper. It also needs mirrors on the wall in the bedroom as it was hard to blow dry your hair. Ian was very helpful when we arrived we enjoyed our holiday there very much. Thanks.
Was as expected from description . Sofa was the most uncomfortable we have ever sat on- gave us both backaches! Shower could do with a non slip mat as I had had knee surgery and the tray was very slippery. Otherwise clean, quiet- a bit out of the way.

Iam very sorry that you had such a bad experience we try to make all are staying holidaymakers
Welcome and the cottage as comfortable as possible
.Iam so sorry that you had a week of rain after a wonderful summer

Nice rural location, quiet and peaceful. Cottage had all the basics we needed as a family and was a good base. The double bed has a hard mattress which is great if you're use to one but takes a couple of days to get use to. We were looking forward to a BBQ as listed but there wasn't one. The two chairs in the living room may need changing soon as you could feel the springs. But all this aside it's a nice cottage and is ideal if you are intending to go out everyday looking round Cornwall.

Thanks for your comments. The reason there was no barbecue was l removed it from the cottage as everything around the garden is so dry the grass and the wood panels l would lose the cottage to fire if there was a problem .Sorry for your disappointment
