Welcome to Tea Lake Cottage (TLC), a serene and secluded retreat that's just 90 minutes away from Toronto and Pearson International Airport. Our beautiful location is within walking distance of the Big Chute Marine Railway on the Trent/Severn Waterway in Muskoka. At TLC, you can experience the ultimate relaxation and adventure with excellent swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, biking, and more.

You can choose from three elegantly decorated cottages: The Loon, The Hummingbird, and The Eagle's Nests. Each place has its own parking and private areas with picnic tables and campfire rings. Plus, you'll enjoy the beautiful lake views from your private deck and the convenience of having a fire pit right on the water.

Please note that he Dock will be shared with other cottages.

The LOON, our two bedrooms cottage, sleeps four adults comfortably with two queen-sized beds and a sofa bed. It's perfect for families or groups of friends who want to enjoy the panoramic view of Tea Lake from the deck or explore the Severn River. You can even bring your boat and dock it at our private space.

At Tea Lake Cottages, you'll have plenty to see and do, with separate fire pits, picnic tables, and sunning regions for each cottage. So come and experience the beauty and adventure of Muskoka at TLC.

The property is lovely!! Very easy to get to and very cozy. Our stay was okay. Unfortunately the hot water had a foul smell of sulphur and communication with the host was a bit poor and the issue could not be resolved while we stayed there. We understand it was the long weekend though so things moved a bit slower than ideal. Henry did offer a small reimbursement for this issue and we are grateful for it. The place was mostly clean on arrival but we did find dog hairs in all areas, so cleaning can be improved. Despite this issues, we had a nice stay. The lake is absolutely gorgeous and it was all worth it.

Lake view but difficult to get to shoreline for seniors. Beach was shared with neighbours. Expected a kayak not plastic ones!Bathroom was petite & taking a shower fairly difficult. No space for soap & shampoo.Access to beds were only from one side.As blind in sitting area torn truly had to mindful of one’s privacy in bathroomWater had an odour and the hot water produced black flecks. Gross!A prevalence of no see um flies in the cottage.

Beautiful area and nice little cottage overlooking the lake. Very clean and the owner was very informative and responded quickly to inquiries. My only concern was the sulphur water in the cottage.

This was the most relaxing and perfect long weekend we could have asked for! No mosquitos this Labour Day long weekend, and warm enough to enjoy the water, which was so clear and beautiful. We struggled to make a campfire and the property manager James kindly helped us and brought over firewood. Would recommend the loon, and hope to return soon!

Beautiful location with gorgeous views. New heat exchange air conditioning was great in a heat wave. Dock was perfect for fishing, swimming, and lounging. Lovely protected fire pit seating area. This is definitely an old style muskoka cabin. They should embrace that vibe and decorate accordingly for a nostalgic experience. Beds were comfortable, but bedrooms were very tiny. Thoughtfully, there was a small bedside table in one room just large enough for a CPAP machine. Hooks on the wall in that room would be a helpful addition. The tiny bathroom has been updated but has no towel bar or hook and the shower leaks if you use the rainshower option. Kitchen has absolutely everything you need. Cushions for the porch chairs would be helpful as they are black metal and got extremely hot plus weren't comfortable. Kayaks were in decent condition and though shared by three cottages, while we were there, had good availability. We took our own canoe, paddles and life jackets but there were some there. The boat rack was new and worked well. The BBQ also was newer and worked well. There was a visable gap under the cabin door and I put patches on some windows screen holes but bugs weren't an issue. We enjoyed our stay!

Quite little get away

This was the most oeaceful place we ever stayed. The view alone was perfect. Kids enjoyed the kayaks and canoes. Highly recommend if you want a peaceful view to enjoy all day.

Great stay - ran into a couple issues but property manager was quick to call us and resolve it. One note - the 3 cottages are quite close to each other. Our neighbors were friendly so it wasnt an issue, but just something to keep in mind

The cottage was lovely. Water pressure was fine. Unfortunately the hot water smelled of sulfur but that is also a natural occurrence with a well in the shoals but it was unpleasant while washing dishes and showering. I would stay again even with that. The lake is great and it was great to get away from light pollution and see a couple meteors.

The location is amazing, just few steps from the lake.The place is clean. My concern is that the beddings smells. The water pressure is low however the owner told us ahead of time which I understood. The property location was great. We loved the lake access and kayaks and canoes. I only experineced 2 issues: 1)the water had a strong sulpher/egg smell that would not go away, even after running the water. 2) there was pet hair on the living room couch pillows. It was easy to just move the pillows, but there was no fixing the water. Other than that, the place was as pictured and overall we had a pleasant stay.

The host was responsive, the property nice, and we loved the easy access to canoes. There were a few issues however. The microwave barely worked and kept shorting making it difficult to heat up food for the kid. The other issue is that the sheets on one of the beds smelled strongly of stinky feet. We notified the host and they helped us get fresh sheets quickly which was appreciated.
