Indoor wood burning fireplace that is enjoyed from both the living and dining areas and an outdoor gas fire pit perfect for roasting marshmallows.

We really enjoyed the fire pit and the ping pong table. There is also a tree house that is fun for kids! It had everything we needed.

Great location perfect for families

Great spot for multiple families and friends. Really enjoyed the Christmas holiday! Kids LOVED the sledding and playhouse.

Winter getaway for families

We were a group of 3 families, all with children, staying for a getaway in the snow. And we got that! This house is a great set up for groups with separate rooms for kids and parents, a tree house, a pool table, and plenty of space for all. Everything was better than we expected inside and outside. The host was responsive and incredibly gracious when we thought we may get snowed in on our check out day. Overall, we all agreed we would stay there again!

Great family get away, room for everyone

Our stay at this massive cabin was really enjoyable. Lots of space for everyone to have a comfy room/bed and the ping pong table was excellent. Staying in Truckee/Donner in the summer is all about the lake and access only takes about 5 minutes down the road to the state park.

Family friendly space

Everyone, ages 10 to 72 yrs old, had comfortable spaces to have time to themselves and gather together. Great place!

Snow play getaway

This place is set up great for a large group. Our kids had a great time sledding, snow ball fights etc. Overall just a fun experience, weve stayed here a number of times over the years and will continue to come back in the future.

Nice Getaway

We love the area and the location was what we were looking for, which is not always easy to find. The guests and especially kids enjoyed the property. A couple items in the home need some attention, as well as a deep clean. But the house served its purpose.

Wonderful House!

This house was beautiful! It was clean and very comfortable for our long weekend of skiing and sledding. Everything we needed was on hand. The owners appear to love their house and share it generously.

Great spot/ Great location

Overall this place is great! Very close to Donner Lake.. the firepit was great. The pool table and ping pong was what everyone needed. Very roomy.. we had 3 families and everyone had a room.

Wonderful, comfortable home

We were a multigenerational family group ranging in age from 5-77, and the house was ideal for us. Great location close to Donner Lake, which has the best beach and playgrounds! We drove around the area and visited Lake Tahoe (25-30 min drive), Donner Pass (15 min, spectacular), local state park, Truckee etc. Everything was easy and uncrowded and stunning. The house is clean, well equipped and we were very comfortable and enjoyed the fabulous views and environment. Curtis was an excellent host too. We would love to stay there again!

Friend reunion

Very large house accommodated 6 easily with separate bedrooms and baths. Seniors should know that long stairways are a challenge. Great amenities and well equipped but needs a little TLC. On a hillside above lake in beautiful setting..

Lots of snow!!

This was our second time staying at this property. The house is well laid out with plenty of room for everyone. It snowed every day we were there which was great for the kids. Curtis is very responsive with any concerns. Highly recommend this house.

What a great place to stay!!!

Lots of room, large dining table for family meals all together. 5 bedrooms was perfect for all adults and the kids. 12,10 and 4 played hours of pool and ping pong . We had lots of rain so the fireplace was a godsend. Donner lake is gorgeous and less crowded then Tahoe. We all had a great time. Sitting on the outdoor deck watching thunderstorms was excellent.

Great ski weekend

Had a great stay at this house. Host communication was outstanding. Great location near several ski resorts, and convenient to Truckee, i80, and Donner Lake. The house itself is great. Clean, spacious, well laid out. Great, well stocked kitchen! We had four adults and 5 kids and had plenty of space. Could have fit more.

Always a Great Time!

We’ve stayed at Curtis’s home winter and summer and it’s perfect for our family! Lots of room for games and our ping pong tournaments are getting quite competitive! Downstairs is easy care and we appreciate you letting us bring the dog who has more fun than we do! Beds are comfortable and Kitchen is well stocked. Easy Winter parking. Thanks for another fun family weekend!

My 2 sons and their families joined for a very brief 2 night getaway.

The house had plenty of space for 8 of us and there could have been easily 4 more. Having 3 bathrooms was a huge plus for us and the pool/ping pong table was great fun for the kids. The kitchen was well stocked and the fire pit was a big plus. It is an older property and has some maintenance issues that need to be addressed. The property manager was responsive and our getaway was very pleasant !!!

Favorite spot

We come back and stay at least twice a year, and we love it! Perfect yard to sled in and play in the snow without having to worry about your kids being too close to a street. With 5 bedrooms and a loft there’s plenty of room for everyone! Kitchen is well stocked and set up well for cooking/serving everyone in your party. Owner is responsive and easy to deal with. We’ll be back!
