Kate is very responsive. House is old, but has everything that we need. The view from the house is amazing! The weather was pretty chilly but inside the house was very cozy and warm. Wood burning stove it’s masterpiece for family gatherings. A lot of games, dvd. Definitely recommend.
A fun home in a beautiful location. The view is spectacular. You are minutes from Grand Lake and RMNP. It was a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The home is dated and could use some simple updates.
This a very quaint and cosy cabin with spectacular views and great access to Grand Lake and RMNP. You can tell it's a family home as it's very well equipped and had lots of books, films and games as well.We especially enjoyed the guide books, which were very useful. My only caveat is that the deck furniture could do with updating, along with the BBQ.And make sure you stock up with supplies en route as the prices are the Mountain Market in Grand Lake will make your eyes water!
This cabin is such an amazing getaway. The views from the deck overlooking the lake are spectacular. Kate was such a great host and the communication with her was wonderful. Kate, thank you for a great stay. We will definitely stay with you again!
This property is in the perfect location for Rocky Mountain national park as well as downtown grand lake. The views are unbeatable! Kate was very responsive to communication. Loved this vacation!

Grand Lake With View
Cute A Frame with minimal upgrades. An older home with aged bathroom, bedroom, kitchen and living area. Bed was so uncomfortable that we actually left 2 days early. Host was very helpful and views were amazing. We were just surprised at the condition of the home.

Amazing views! Hidden gem!
Wow! This cabin is amazing! You can not beat the breathtaking views. The cabin has an open floor plan - very clean and comfortable. It was the perfect mountain getaway for our family. Picture perfect in every way! We can't wait to come back!
Very nice stay. the property was as advertised. It was a very user friendly facility.
The only negative was we were charged $30 to enter the Rocky Mountain National Park and only a very small portion was open.
What a beautiful A-frame cabin set with a picturesque view of the lake! Such a cute, quaint, cabin! Had everything we needed there, had privacy, comfy cozy place! Will definately be staying here again. The couple questions we had were answered immediately by Kate. 5 stars!!!!!!!
The homeowner kept in contact but not too much contact. The property was beautiful and quiet. My wife and I enjoyed morning coffee on the back deck almost every morning. The view was awesome and the property was very close to Grand Lake, side by side rentals and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Overall a wonderful experience.
Beautiful cabin with amazing views. The pictures don’t do it justice. Our three daughters loved sleeping in the upstairs area, which was set up well with plenty of nightlights, kids books, etc.
The cabin is small, but the space is used very efficiently. There were plenty of dishes, utensils, and pots and pans for cooking. Plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. It did get pretty cold at night in the upstairs area and main living space as the thermostat was a little tricky and didn’t seem to hold the temp due to the pre-programmed settings.
We enjoyed the selection of games and family dvds, and spent time in RMNP and Grand lake. This was one of our favorite family trips and we hope to come back again. Would 100% recommend this property to other families.

Great Cabin in the Mountains
The cabin was just what we wanted for a weekend get-away to celebrate our anniversary. It is well maintained and very clean. The view of the lake from the deck is so pretty and peaceful. Going into Grand Lake is a short, easy drive and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is equally a short drive so very convenient.
While we had reserved the cabin for four nights, we were only able to enjoy the first night there due to a forest fire that started less than a half-mile away and we were subject to a mandatory evacuation that lasted two days. Thankfully no properties were lost and none of the fire fighters were injured. The owner was wonderful to work with and did her best to keep us informed about the status of the evacuation.
Although our weekend didn't go as we had hoped, we would highly recommend these owners and this property. We are looking forward to going back to Grand Lake in the future.
First - this property has a beautiful view! The cabin is well stocked with just about all things you would need - there are games, movies, utensils, dishes, etc... There was only one real downside to this cabin - It felt like the cabin could use some TLC given the price per night. While we did get notice the week before arrived that the deck furniture was in the process of being replaced, they weren't replaced in time for our visit so the deck furniture was in pretty rough shape. Some of the chairs were fine, but others looked taped/stringed together. There were other little things as well - the mattress was not very comfortable and seemed to be pretty well worn, loose tiles on the bathroom counter, a screen door that doesn't really close, etc... There were no major items, just little maintenance type items that sort of detracted from experience. That said, I will say that we found the cabin to be very clean - it just felt like some TLC/maintenance could have benefited the cabin.

I'm glad you found the cabin well equipped and clean. The patio furniture has now been replaced - sorry the items did not arrive in time for your stay as I had mentioned.

Our honest feedback
We have rented places all over the U.S. and abroad. We have had great experiences. The view from the cabin is amazing and the location is very quiet. The stars at night were incredible. Great towels, lots of shampoo, conditioner and body soap choices. Kitchen is well equipped. The location so close to RMNP is excellent. The owner let me know when the cabin was ready as the cleaner had several cabins to clean.
Some of the deck furniture needs replacing. The blue plastic Adirondack chair has a big crack in the seat. The glass in the table between the chairs is falling out of the frame. The tall table had two chairs and both seats that had been repaired with what appeared to be rope. The owners helped us remedy the empty propane tank issue quickly, although we could never get the grill any hotter than 250 degrees.
Perhaps the cabin had seen heavy use over the summer, but we were surprised there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The bathroom was dark as only one of three light bulbs is working. Perhaps there are spare bulbs in one of the cabinets, but it seems the cleaning crew should have taken care of this. We were surprised by the ant traps on the kitchen counter, however we did not see ants so I guess the traps are working. The screen door will not fully close even when you pull it hard.
We really wanted to like the cabin. I read all the reviews before we booked it. For the amount we paid for the rental and the cleaning, this cabin really fell short.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry your stay wasn’t as fulfilling as you’d expected. We pride ourselves on making sure guests have a comfortable stay. We’ve had the gas grill checked by our maintenance guy and it is heating to temperature as it should. We will address the other comments. Thank you again for your helpful feedback.
This property was perfect for our family! We have 3 teenagers, and the loft upstairs was perfect for them. Everyone had a bed, their own space and great views out the second story windows. It didn't matter in the least that there isn't AC in the cabin, with the windows open you didn't need it. The kitchen was well stocked with necessities for cooking meals, the TV with Netflix, was a nice amenity for a little down time, and the deck was the absolute highlight! We had coffee and dinner out there most nights watching the sunrise and sunsets on RMNP! This little lake community is peaceful and private, and the town of Grand Lake it literally around the corner (less than 5 minute drive). Plus the entrance to RMNP is just a stone's throw away. Quick access to Lake Verna Trailhead (via Adam's Falls), and the Colorado River Trailhead, and other other activities you want to do in RMNP or the town of Grand Lake. The cabin was clean and cozy, and the location was fantastic. We'd recommend to any family with older kiddos anxious to check out this majestic little town. Thanks, Kate, for making it easy for us, for restaurant recommendations and quick responses with questions.
We had an amazing time in Grand Lake and RMNP. Grand Lake is such a cute town. It seems like it could be the backdrop for a Hallmark Movie. RMNP is amazing and this property was perfectly located to enjoy both. Waking up every morning to that view is magical, and coming back after a long day of hiking was welcoming! Kate was great at communicating, it was fantastic all the way around!

Labor day weekend
Overall the A-frame home has a beautiful view and is the high point of the rental. We found the interior to be a little dirty with wear and tear from use and the items provided to be of a lower quality. Items such as the towels, coffee pot, service ware, patio furniture were well used..old and in need of replacement. The carpet was worn and stained in spots as well as the rugs provided in the bathroom. A nice place to stay and a with some replacement of the support equipment it would be an awesome site.

Thank you for your feedback. Our carpets are regularly cleaned and sanitized. We recently added a new Keurig coffee pot and supply coffee pods for guests. We're also in the process of replacing the patio furniture. Thanks again for your feedback.
My family enjoyed our stay in this adorable little cabin. The attic sleep areas were a huge hit with the kids (15 & 11). It felt super tucked away, but Grand Lake and RMNP are less than 5 min away. It was completely stocked for any cooking you might want to do. No dishwasher, but that's what kids are for, amiright? Great stay!
