Stone Cottage , Nestled In The Woods in Door County

The Stone Cottage is located on almost an acre, down a secluded lane across from Lake Michigan. It's the perfect escape from your hectic life where you can spend time with family over the holidays, or enjoy a peaceful romantic getaway. Just down the road is a hidden treasure of Baileys Harbor, the beautiful and historic Bjorklunden Estate.

You can walk many trails, either wooded or along Lake Michigan, or stroll into Baileys Harbor where you have many shops and restaurants available.
This beautifully designed home built in 2007, has vaulted ceilings, skylights and a stunning stone fireplace in the great room which creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The wall of windows and skylights bring Door County's natural beauty to the home.
Through a pair French doors, just off the entry way, you go into the library, with a magnificent bookcase and comfortable furniture that offers a quiet retreat. There is a media room that is perfect for games, conversation or just relaxing with family and friends.
Across the hall from the library is the powder room and laundry with a full size washer and dryer.
The split floor plan is designed with the master suite on the first floor. It has a 6' patio door going to the deck and gazebo and a full bath with a double vanity and soaking tub. The first floor also has a queen bedroom and a bedroom with 2 twin beds.
The fifth bedroom with queen bed, and queen bedroom and full bath are on the second floor.
In the back, the sun filled wooded setting, with a large deck and attached gazebo, are perfect for entertaining family and friends. There is a firepit in the backyard where you can gather in the evenings for conversations with friends or cooking s'mores with the kids. There is gas grill as well as tables for outdoor dining. Also a full size generator for electricity outages. The walking trails will lead you into wooded paths perfect for viewing the wildlife, or down to the lake for stunning views of the sunrise. There is a fire pit, no wood provided. As of 2023 the downstairs has all new flooring through out the downstairs. All new quartz counter tops in kitchen of this year 2024

The Stone Cottage was everything we needed for a week-long three-generation family vacation. Plenty of common areas, both indoors and outdoors, and enough bedrooms and bathrooms for privacy. The kitchen is well equipped. And the Baileys Harbor location was a great starting point for our adventures all over the peninsula.

The Stone Cottage was perfect for our family. The cottage was cleaned and had all the amenities we needed and it was spacious for everyone. The property was centrally located for our daily activities (golf, walks, beach, etc.) Sharon was very helpful from the beginning of planning to the end of our vacation. We look forward to returning next summer.

Beautiful home

It was a beautiful roomy very clean home located on a secluded property. The location in Door County was convenient but also very private and quiet. There was plenty of room for 8 adults so each couple had their own space.

Great Vacation Home

The house is really well taken care of and has all the amenities to make things comfortable. The backyard has a great setup for bonfires and a direct gas line to make grilling easy. The proximity to the lake, trails, and downtown Baileys Harbor made it an optimal vacation. We'd definitely stay here again!

Beautiful, spacious home with well-equipped kitchen, and very nice deck with gazebo and plenty of outdoir seating options. My family had a relaxing, fun stay here. Great Door County Location

Wonderful Stone Cottage!

Wonderful mid week family girls getaway! The location was so convenient and beautiful, as was the house. We couldn’t believe the lake was just down the street. Very well equipped kitchen, and the entire house was very clean. Communication with the property manager was superb. We are definitely planning on going back.

Great property and location

We returned to stay at this property and, again, were very satisfied with our stay! The home is beautiful, plenty of room for everyone to stay comfortably. It is close to downtown Bailey's Harbor but far enough away to enjoy some peace. Sharon, the property manager, was helpful and maintained great communication. We will be returning in the future.

The home is ideal for a group of 10. Just a short walk into Baileys Harbor on a lightly traveled street. The home is a short drive to all the other cities in Door County.
