Ocean Front / Beach Front Castle House at Stinson Beach

Enjoy FULL views of the sunrise and sunset from the dining room, living room and large deck. Step down from the deck to the beach for a leisurely walk or build your own sand castle at the foot of the 'Castle House.' Relax or BBQ at the large deck. Walk to the Stinson Village shops and restaurants and never get into your car until it is time to go home!

The Castle House has two bedrooms (with queen-size beds) and two recently remodeled baths. The bedrooms have views of the beach and the ocean and are located at the front and rear of the house. They have wall to wall new carpets. There is a fully equipped and recently remodeled kitchen, a large deck and a large covered porch with outdoor furniture. It is a comfortable, well kept and very nicely furnished home. The living room has a turret (as in a castle!) with a circular sofa and embraces the complete view of the beach and ocean, from the north end of Stinson-Bolinas to the southern tip. There is parking for two cars.
In the Summer time we rent full weeks with shorter stays in between full week rentals. During holidays (including school holidays) we rent 3 to 4 days min, depending on the holiday with shorter stays based on approval and availability.

What a great place/location to stay. Lots of views, walking, hiking, close to evrything. I you want to drive off either north or south you can't go wrong. The local market is well stocked with everything you could want, great quality and the couple restaurants were bustling. Nice little park nearby . People are friendly, dogs too and the vibe in the house and surroundings awesome We'll come back for sure!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Castle House. Only negative was that the windows do not open to allow fresh air in. The kitchen was well stocked for the 2 of us and the location was perfect for us and our dog.

I'll add to the house instructions the ways to ventilate the house, using the combination of the portholes in the dining area and guest bedroom with the kitchen door. The primary bedroom windows have vents at the top of the windows. Sorry that you were not able to figure it out and that you did not call me about it. The Castle is not a standard frame house and sometimes can need a little guidance.

Other than windows not opening and no screens on the doors, which can make it stuffy and stagnant inside, its absolutely wonderful. I feel blessed to have been able to experience The Castle House.

I am sorry to hear that you did not discover the the ventilation system designed by the original owner in 1952. The primary bedroom windows have an operable vent at the header that with the angle of the glass drive the sea breeze in. By opening the portholes at the guest bedroom and living room, air circulates through the house. Opening either the front or the kitchen door in combination with the portholes increases the air circulation.

A fantastic beach front castle that had everything we were hoping for. Comfortable, clean, and nothing between you and the waves other than sand. We were celebrating a birthday and I wanted a place that would be easy for my dad to get around now that he uses a walker, this place was perfect for that. Because of the deck, he was also able to feel like he was on the beach without having to traverse the sand. We hope to be back soon! Highly recommend.

Beautiful property on the beach with lots of windows. We really enjoyed looking out to the beach and watching the waves during the cold parts of the day and sitting on the steps with toes in the sand during the sunshine. Second Stay at the White Castle

We enjoyed our recent stay even more than the last one. Beautiful weather and fewer beach goers. If you love dogs this house is perfectly situated - dogs are allowed off leash, so many different breeds. The house is roomy enough for the four of us plus toddler, it’s very clean and comfortably furnished. We greatly appreciated the call from the homeowner advising us of the tsunami warning. We’ll be back!
