The apartment was perfect for my sister and I. It has a nice size queen bedroom as well as a full size bed in living room. There is a very well stocked kitchen and washer and dryer if you need to do laundry. We so enjoyed visiting with the owners, Val & Jim and received awesome recommendations from them on where to eat as well as best. beaches and places to visit. They are some of the best hosts we have ever had and we will certainly stay with them again if we ever pass this way again! Stay here, you will be so glad you did.

A beautiful place to stay in Falmouth

The owner, Val, welcomed us warmly into the well-equipped apartment above their double garage. She gave us lots of information about activities in the area and more, to ensure we had a great stay. Their two dogs are very friendly. And the garden around the house, which we had access to, is very green and home to lots of birds and even a cute little squirrel.

This is a really lovely, spacious apartment. Very thoughtfully outfitted with everything you would need. Great hosts and beautiful furry greeters! The stairs could be an issue if you had any physical challenges. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Lovely place

The upstairs apartment has a private entrance with approximately 12 narrow stairs to navigate. It is nicely appointed and has everything you need. Val and Jim have anticipated your every need. It’s was a great location for us. We wish we had more time to enjoy their beautiful garden and outdoor seating area that looked so relaxing We do recommend this property.

Jim and Val were great hosts and very accommodating They provided recommendations on where to dine out and where to go for local activities. They're dogs Peanut Butter and Jack were very friendly. The apartment is charming, clean and private. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again.

Beautiful Comfy Garden Apartment

Everything was so thoughtfully planned that we felt like “special “ guest! The gifts, the area brochures and helpful information that made our stay memorable! The apartment was so spacious and comfortable. It was well stocked. Beautiful gardens it was secluded and quiet. We will definitely will look to stay here the next time we visit!!

Garden Apartment with a Flair for Lobsters

Both beds were super comfortable with plenty of pillows. Gorgeous leaf peeper views from top floor windows. It was a pleasure to watch the golden retrievers romp in the yard. Towels and dishes were in plentiful supply, as were chairs. Pleasing decor with various lobster designs.

Clean, Comfortable getaway!

We had a good time at this upstairs apartment. Everything you would need is on the premises. The hosts were very friendly and always available for any questions we may have had. Quiet neighborhood but close to many outdoor adventures. We look forward to staying there again.

Charming

We had a wonderful stay in this charming apartment above the garage. It’s conveniently located near Portland and other surrounding areas, making it a great home base for exploring. Val and Jim were fantastic hosts, and the apartment was well-stocked with everything we needed. However, please note that the apartment is accessed via steep stairs, which weren’t mentioned in the listing. Overall, a lovely stay!

This place is a hidden gem! It was like having our own apartment. Private, clean, well equipped kitchen, plenty of towels. And a washer and dryer. We enjoyed our time here and would stay again. And Jim and Val were perfect, helpful hosts. It was like staying with family but having our own private space!

Loved our stay at the Falmouth Apartment!

We had a fabulous 2 weeks at the Falmouth apartment. Anything we needed was already provided, from laundry detergent to lobster eating tools. The bed was also very comfortable, which is great when away from home for so long. Val and Jim were perfect hosts and gave us lots of great ideas for restaurants and places to visit. If we head back to Maine, they will be our first call.

Absolutely Amazing

We were met by Jim who helped carry our luggage upstairs and then met Val and "The Puppies", Jack & Peanut. They showed us around the property and were so welcoming that we spent a couple afternoons just visiting with them. This was the first time we really felt like we were on a vacation. Truly relaxing and enjoyable. Val & Jim were the perfect hosts and so much fun!!

Great Quiet Place and Excellent Location

If you are looking for a quiet place to stay and well located for a visit to Portland then this is it. Downtown Portland is just a short 15-20 minute drive. If you like microbreweries then a group of 5 of the best are located just 5 minutes away on Industrial Way. Val and Jim are excellent hosts and are attentive to any needs. You probably won't have any needs as the apartment is both extremely comfortable and well furnished. Val and Jim can also expertly answer all your tourist type questions. We loved Maine and Portland. The apartment will definitely be #1 on our list if we return!

Perfect End to 6 Weeks on the Road

This was an awesome way to finish our 6 weeks on the road, whereby we stayed in a mixture of hotel and privately hosted accomodation. We were met by both Jim and Val and their “kids”, two very friendly Golden Retrievers. The apartment was brilliantly appointed and with lovely touches of local beers, a bottle of wine, a Whoopie Pie and a ready cook pizza provided. We appreciated being shown where everything was and how everything worked. Val made it clear that she was available at anytime for any queries we may have had. The laundry facilities were a bonus! The apartment was warm and cosy, and although above the owners residence, we were never aware of their presence. We would highly recommend Jim and Val’s place. It would have been very easy to stay on a little longer, but sadly our holiday was coming to an end.

Amazing!

I am bound to leave out something amazing, but please know this property and its hosts are truly incredible! We primarily engaged in activities in and around Portland and everything was an easy/noncomplicated drive from this location. The accommodations were spectular. There is a bedroom, which I found lovely and comfortable, but also separate and comfortable sleeping arrangements for my son and his friend (both teenagers). I loved the amount of seating options available without having to sit where we slept. The apartment has everything you could possibly need and things you did not even know you wanted, but were fantastic to have. As spectacular as the property is, the hosts were even more phenomenal. Communication was fantastic and they are so personable. Conversations with them were a pure joy of both the teenagers and me. They have created such a enjoyable, safe, and pleasant environment. Also, the number of recommendations for all types of activities were so greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for everything!
