Outstanding views! Nice restaurants in the area. The beaches are pristine and exceptionally beautiful. Very comfortable condo with tasteful finishes. A lovely vacation spot!
We really enjoyed our stay in Port Hood! The place had everything we needed and comfortably accommodated four of us. The view was beautiful, and the location was great for a relaxing getaway. The only downside was that on our second night, new guests checked in upstairs, and we could hear a lot of footsteps but other than that, everything was wonderful, and we’d happily stay again!
First time we've been to Port hood in Cape Breton. The area itself is fantastic for a family visit, lots of beaches and the peacefulness you would expect in a small village. The accommodations were first class and our host Rick responded immediately to any questions or concerns we had. We would certainly consider a return trip in the future.

Scott is an excellent guest and is always welcome back. His crew seemed to fit into the local area immediately and enjoyed the beach, the quiet, and the views!
My sister and her husband were visiting us. We stayed in Unit 4 for two nights when we toured the Cabot Trail. Great condo for us. It is downstairs with two king size beds, two bathrooms. Beautiful view.

What a view
One of the nicest VRBO condos we ever stayed in. Very new, clean, modern, quiet and comfortable. Up on a hill over looking Port Hood with a view of the St Lawrence Seaway on Port Island across the water. We loved this unit and didn't really want to leave. Got to meet some of Rick's siblings while we were there and it's obvious this is a great family. We really enjoyed our stay.

It was great to have Don and his wife stay at Porthoodplace. They were perfect guests and it is wonderful to hear how much they enjoyed themselves, They are always welcome to visit our little area of Cape Breton.

The rental is exactly as advertised. The view on the hill is absolutely breathtaking. I enjoyed walking the trail on the hill behind the condo and picking strawberries. The area is also very quiet. The local beaches are also beautiful. Everything went well with the rental, I would definitely stay again although i would request an upper unit as we could hear the people staying above us.
This is the perfect spot for two couples. While biking on the trail is currently banned (original plan) we did other things. Port Hood was ideally located. We walked 5 wonderful beaches from Inverness to Port Hood. They are amazing. We had great food at The Clove Hitch in Port Hood. We drove to The Red Shoe in Mabou for the food and the music. Another day we drove to Baddeck. The condo had everything you could want. Large bedrooms with comfortable beds, a living area, with comfortable seating, a full kitchen, and two great bathrooms. The view however is the biggest selling point. Even though we were on the lower level we could sit outside and take in the panoramic water view and watch a spectacular sunset. Lots of activity on the water. Bring binoculars.
My parents and I spent 3 nights in Port Hood at this home. Hard to find even the smallest issue here as the place is exactly as in the listing and everything feels new, clean and in exceptional condition. The exterior is tidy and clean with amazing views and short walks around the home, we even saw deer twice.Inside is spacious, very clean and everything you could wish for is on hand. Comfy beds, plenty of towels, heating and high quality linens.Port Hood is small, but has a Co-op grocery store, two reasonable restaurants within a 15 minute walk and an excellent breakfast place a 5 minute drive away. The beach boardwalk is beautiful and walkable from the house. We drove to all the usual sights, all within a 90 min drive along that side of Cape Breton.Less than a half hour drive we loved the Little Red Shoe Pub and Route 19 Brewery, excellent dining choices. You cannot go wrong by choosing this home for your stay and we would gladly return.
Third time staying at Port Hood Place. Great location. Rick is super to deal with. Always clean and comfy with the best view on the east coast.
