Peaceful getaway with beautiful view

If you'd like to stay in a private, updated space with a beautiful view near many beaches, this is the place for you! Our party of 7 had such a great time here - so clean, loved the patio to watch sunsets, short 5 minute drive to multiple beaches.

Clean with beautiful view

Great stay in Cape Breton at this home. Had everything we needed. Linen is similar to a high end hotel which was great. A minor issue happened that could happen at any house and the host was very quick to reply and send someone to fix. Great experience.

Port Hood Rental

Excellent location for the Port Hood beaches, which remain hidden gems. Inside, the unit (upstairs) was clean and inviting. All facilities were as advertised. We stayed 4 nights, cooked-in two and ate-out two. The kitchen ware was excellent, but the BBQ needs a bit of updating. We're very glad we stayed!

Stunning views, very close to beaches

Exceeded our expectations, and we were expecting a nice place! Location is great - water views and evening sunsets from the well-appointed front balcony. The unit was very clean and comfortable. Sufficiently roomy so not a bad place to hang out if the weather does not cooperate re the beaches. Beaches are walking distance of a short car ride. You really can't go wrong with this booking

Amazing view and very clean

Great location for our Celtic Colours trip, close to the music venues in Judique. But a highlight was seeing a blue tuna being brought into the Port Hood harbour.

Loved every moment!!

Everything about this condo and this town of Port Hood is amazing. The Condo sits atop a hill with a stunning view of the bay and Island. The town is a pure joy and beyond relaxing and enjoyable. Other towns are a short drive away and each one is unique in their own way. Great Food and great music. The Condo itself is done to the nine's. You don't want to leave it. You won't want to get out of bed in the morning, as they are Soooo comfortable! This was my first time at this condo and Port Hood, but I'm ready to book for next summer for Sure!!!... I have told my friends that.."You need to go to this place"...... Enjoy... It's beyond awesome!

Top of the World !

We booked in for a week and when we found out we could stay longer we jumped at the chance! This property is amazing. clean!, new!, full size laundry,(a big hit), but the best for last...THE VIEW! wonderful view of the ocean with a gorgeous sunset every night. We happen to be there when one of the owners set us up with a lobster steamer out back. After a 2 min. drive to the fisherman's co-op for lobster and within no time we were enjoying lobster, wine and the sun-set on the deck overlooking the ocean. priceless!

About the host

Hosted by Rick Gillies

Host profile image
Hello my name is Rick Gillies and I currently live in Windsor, Ontario with roots in Port Hood, Cape Breton. I have spent many a summer, spring or fall in Port Hood and I can say it is my favourite place on earth. The rolling hills, the smell of the sea breezes and the friendly people, all make your stay memorable. My father purchased this property just after the war and we spent summers at the small cottage at the bottom on the hill. Now my family and I have built a four-plex with spectacular views of the ocean to enjoy and share with others. This luxury condominium complex is a home away from home. I have many family members in the surrounding lands who will welcome you and assist if you need any support with your stay. Best wishes and have fun!
