We enjoyed our stay at Algonquin cottage. Mostly quiet neighborhood and clean accommodations. This was a duplex, and we would have appreciated knowing that in advance of our stay. Property owner was very responsive to any requests that we had. Comfortable bed and great place for 2 people to stay close to Boone and Blowing Rock!
This is a perfect place for 1-2 people looking to get away to the mountains! Super happy with the pet friendly nature of the place!

The cabin was lovely. The view was great and the location was convenient to Boone and the surrounding areas. The addition of the pumpkin and yellow mum on the porch and fall decor inside was a nice touch that made us smile and feel at home. Overall a very nice place. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you so much for sharing. We are thrilled to hear that you had a great time and its our fondest hope to have you as our guest again. hopefully sooner rather than later.
Lovely cabin and property just a few miles out of town. Very quiet here. To reach this cabin, you travel on Shulls Mill Road, which is very narrow with hairpin turns along steep mountain side. Not a road I would travel at night.

Hi David, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. However it would have been most helpful to the owner as well as future guest for you to have shared your reasons for feeling this way.
Awesome location and very nicely decorated but felt more effort was put into fashion over function. Many decorations still had price tags on them. I am short and found it almost impossible to get into the bed. We kept sliding off the couch as well.

The picture of the cabin left out the 24 additional stairs you have to climb to get to the cabin. If you like to climb steps, you will love it!

poor presentation of rental
Paper towles were not provided. Battiers to the remotes were dead. The exterior deck area was dirty. All the clocks had the wrong times. The tub did not drain poperly. The bed rattling noise with slight movement.

Thank you for your feedback. We have reached out to our QC staff and advised them to be more mindful on their inspections. Thank you for holding us accountable.
This place is a must stay! For God locations just enter the game keeper restaurant, it's basically across the street technically up the mountain and across the street. We are coming back for sure!

Darling cabin with a gorgeous Mountain View from the balcony. Rhododendrons were in full bloom making the area extra beautiful. Cabin was clean, convenient and over delivered our expectations!
Fireplace as well as jacuzzi tub and beautiful Mountain View’s all made the long weekend stunning. Will return

Kathleen, thank you for your kind review. I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Algonquin Cottage. It was a privilege hosting you, and we look forward to having you again in the future!
I picked this house to surprise my fiancé for his birthday. The description was that it was walking distance to The GameKeeper which is the whole reason I booked it. It was literally across the street as advertised! After booking, I found out my surprise trip coincided with an event my fiancé had also scheduled for us to attend. The host who did not have to adjust anything to help us, went above and beyond helping me adjust the dates. When we got in, it was dark and I had some questions about parking and location and the host was able to answer me immediately. The cabin had pretty views and was clean! I will 100% book again. Thank you!
We wanted and found snow! Although the directions for finding the cabin were not the best we LOVED this home and would rent again. It was as photos depict but also was exceptionally clean, comfortable and very well stocked. The bed was super comfy; the home was toasty warm with a charming fireplace and plenty of hot water. If you’re looking for a mountain setting about 10 minutes from Blowing Rock I recommend this place. We had a 5 star stay!
The cabin was sparkling clean and just as it appears in the listing. The location was great. It was perfect for two people. Our only complaint was that we stayed two weekends in a row and we did not receive the complimentary gift card to the Gamekeeper for either week, despite calling the listing agency to inquire.
The cabin was very clean and easily accessible. The only downfall was no grass areas nearby for our pets. We would definitely rent again at this location.

Algonquin Cottage
Perfect location from Blowing Rock, perfect and cozy for a couple getting away. Only addition would be to provide a simple collection of silverware.
