Sanden House at Wapato Point Resort

The Sanden House Retreat at Wapato Point Resort is the perfect Lake Chelan vacation rental for a large family, two smaller families traveling together, or a large group of friends coming to golf or wine taste! This custom built, 2-story, five-bedroom home can sleep up to 12 people maximum. An expansive open “great” room with wood floors and high beamed ceilings provides your guests with an amazing space to cook together, play pool, watch a movie on the rotating flat screen TV, or visit at the bar overlooking the living area. The great room opens up to the large view deck, complete with a dining area, Gas BBQ, chaise lounges and additional seating where you can relax and enjoy watching the activity at Wapato Point Resort. A second bonus room on the lower level provides another space for kids to play or watch a movie. When you are ready to enjoy the water, you are just steps from the lake or one of the resort pools.

In addition, to the wonderful features and fun this home provides, guests also have access to all of the amenities and activities offered on the 116 acres at Wapato Point Resort. From sandy beaches to indoor and outdoor pools, boat moorage, watercraft rentals, an activities center, tennis, a fishing pond and more…this vacation property has it ALL!

Great location and space for families!

We had a great time at the Sanden house on a multi-family trip! The location next to the beach, great room and back deck were all perfect for gathering. The house has been well-loved but was still clean, and the cooling system was imbalanced between the upstairs and downstairs. Only other gripe is that a 5pm checkout time is tough if you are traveling with kids!

Perfect Vacation

We stayed in the Sanden House for 9 days right after Labor Day weekend. This house was perfect for our large group of 12, infants to adults. The 5 bedroom 4 bath layout with 4 of the bedrooms and 3 baths downstairs worked out well. This house is huge with so much room for kids to play and a very large half covered deck with eastern exposer was nice for afternoon shade. The large kitchen well stocked with eveything you need for cooking and serving was very convenient. My adult kids enjoyed the pool table on the upper floor too. The resort was very nice with so much to do and a place to moor our boat was very convenient as well. I would highly recommend the Sanden house for any large group looking for a great place to stay on Lake Chelan.

Ideal for family reunion!

This was a great home for a family reunion. The covered deck made sitting outside very comfortable even on the hot, sunny days. The beach was literally right across the street! The large kitchen made cooking for a group super easy! I would definitely recommend this house.

This house was perfect for our group of friends. It was great that most sleeping areas except one bedroom are far from the living area. The deck had some good views and we utilized it a lot to be out in the open air. The property was extremely close to a beach area (steps away) that we spent most of our day at. We had an issue thinking our fridge wasnt getting cold, but the responsiveness and friendliness of the person helping was so amazing. They even texted after offering coolers and ice, which was unexpected and super nice! We hadn't been to Lake Chelan before but this resort and house helped us have a great first visit and would definitely consider it again in the future.

Killer location - tons of amenities!

Overall this place / process was great. The resort is awesome and we’ll definitely be coming back. Only comment I have is bring water as they don’t have a fridge dispenser.

Great location and home layout

While Wapato Point is so great for families and the house was a great layout for 3 families with small children. Spacious, nice open areas, good amount of rooms and plenty of bathrooms which was great. BUT it was quite dirty, had an old fridge with missing shelves, no cleaning products to swiffer the dirty floors, worn out, dingy couches. Seemed more like a "party" house.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great beautiful home with all the amenities and comfort of home. The great room and entertainment area was great and kept us all sharing and making memories. Family loved being steps away from the beach/lake/park area. Management responded immediately to a couple of maintenance issues except for the broken blinds in downstairs entertainment room and master bedroom that are so important for privacy. Unfortunately, these items are outside of management company responsilities. Owner needs to act promptly to issues like this as they can/will become a good reason to stay away from renting this beautiful home.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in several vacation rentals. For the amount being charged for this house, we were disappointed. The home itself is beautiful and the location is great. However, some upgrades are needed. NEW BLINDS ARE NEEDED!!! Two bedrooms are lacking privacy due to broken blinds!! We had to hang sheets up to make the rooms private. The air conditioning is such that the basement, where 4 bedrooms are located, was FREEZING COLD and the main floor was borderline too hot. Some adjustments to the system are definitely needed. Some of the furnishings look like they came from a thrift store and need to be returned to one. Renters aren't allowed to use the garage, leaving nowhere, except inside the house's main living space, to securely store valuables such as bikes. Locking them up outside is not an option for us since we had a bike stolen when it was locked outside a unit at Wapato. This place has a lot going for it, but the owners need to reinvest some of the rent they are taking in to make it really least fix the blinds in the bedrooms so your guests aren't entertaining the neighbors!
