We had an amazing time during our stay! House was exceptional. Clean, stocked with all you need! The wildlife is beautiful!! We had many Axis deer -doe and buck right outside the screened on patio.
We will definitely be going back!!!
The property was very easy to get to. The property manager was very communicative and took care of an issue that we had.
The only things I would suggest is there was dish network, but it was not hooked up so it was a little difficult to pull up apps and stuff like that in the evening when we were watching TV.
The only other thing is maybe clearing out some things especially in the kitchen. There were a lot of miscellaneous items, dishes, bowls, etc. Maybe just a little bit more organization so you don't have to hunt for things.
But overall, it was a great time reminded us of Ohio where we’re from originally. We would definitely recommend this place to other people.
The second time renting from Audrey was an excellent experience. The property was accurately represented in the listing, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We look forward to renting from Audrey again in the future.
We enjoyed our short stay, which included a dip in our fave swimming hole nearby and the cabin’s neighborhood park with river access. Lots of cute antiques and Texas Longhorn decor. Responsive host.
Love this property. Cozy and very private. Great walking trails. Lots of wildlife and great entertaining space. If your looking for a nice place to relax this is it. It's in a subdivision, but at the end of a road. Quick to the water and a great drive to the property.
A great location for a family stay in this area. Well appointed and stocked vacation home. The River park was down a rather steep trail but still an easy walk from the property. We had the River park to ourselves until Saturday. Delightful. Deer in abundance, and bobcats heard but not seen.
We were very pleased with the cabin. Great space for entertaining. Huge kitchen and lots of great seating inside and outside. If you love nature the deer, foxes, hummingbirds entertained us the entire time! Bedrooms are a good size with ample storage for luggage. The parking area is great and feels very private. You are in a neighborhood, but you can't see or hear anyone. You're so close to the river and have lots of options for fishing or swimming. You will have a very private; relaxing experience. Bring binoculars! The screened in porch has a great sunrise and with the sun being behind the cabin you can sit outside and grill easily in the afternoons. Well worth the couple extra miles.
Our stay at this cabin was Amazing!! From the tranquil nights spent star gazing to the beautiful moments canoeing on the Guadalupe river. We also enjoyed the multiple types of wildlife around the cabin coming to visit. There was so much to do there. I most important thing that I enjoyed about this cabin was the huge firepit that it had!! I made for some memorible quality time with my family while making smores or roasting hotdogs. We will definitely be back!!!
I love this place nestled in the hill country. It feels secluded. Nice place to hang out around the fire and watch the stars. Access to the Guadalupe is great. Canoes, grills and a cool little swimming platform. So fun to explore the hill country and cool off floating around on the Guadalupe.
The owner of the property is extremely friendly and helpful. The house was perfect for me and my three friends that spent the weekend there. The location is perfect and very peaceful.
We loved our stay at the cabin! The cabin has everything you need to make your stay very comfortable. They have thought of everything. We were able to see Nature at its finest with the comfort of the city. We had deer, foxes and racoons come out and say hi. The Guadalupe park across the street was convenient and amazing. We took a trip to Fredricksburg which is 45 minutes away. The communication from the renter was great. Comfortable and relaxing. Even our 14-year-old enjoyed it. We can't wait to go back.
This property has all the amenities...PLUS! It offers a private log cabin setting in the woods that is easy to access in a secluded area, surrounded by beautiful Cedar and Live Oak trees, and the largest fire pit I have ever seen. The screened in porch is an added benefit, especially nice if you like to grill with both a gas and charcoal grill available. Birds abound with Cardinals, Hummingbirds, Doves, Titmouses and Warblers that we identified. The Wi-Fi service provided a really great internet and TV connection. The property also provided a beautiful private River Park for swimming, tubing and canoeing, in the area is also wonderful water recreation access to the Guadalupe and Frio Rivers (kayaking, canoeing and tubing).
It was a perfect vacation for our small family. Our dog was ecstatic, swimming and roaming the woods. We watched deer passing by in the morning and in the evening. The beautifully built and all wood inside house is perfect for a small family, well-stocked with gadgets, plates, etc. The trail to the river below is rough in places, but navigable, the river bank is well-equipped for picnics and peaceful gazing at serene scene, as well as for canoeing.
My husband and I enjoyed celebrating our 33rd Anniversary at, “The Cabin In The Woods,” it was soooo relaxing. We had a great time canoeing in the river, and sitting by the large fire Pit while stargazing. We would definitely rent this property again.
This little slice of heaven is perfect! We took our 3 kids, ages 1 to 8, and they didn't want to leave. The cabin is literally in the middle of the woods! It was so peaceful and quiet, with easy access to the Guadalupe River. Don't worry about forgetting anything, our host has anything and everything supplied in the cabin. From a fire pit and 2 grills to a canoe, oars and life jackets to everything in-between. We are already planning our next trip back! You couldn't ask for a better host or cabin.
We spent a few days around Christmas. Linda's Cabin is a great getaway in the hill country. It has all the comforts of home with seclusion in a beautiful part of the state. Our dog was able to explore the cedar dominated property. The fireplace and fire pit were a great addition.
