Black Mountain Babbling Brook Bungalow

Stroll along the nature trail by the babbling brook, soak in the mountain views and enjoy the amenities found in the Village of Cheshire. A few minutes away is the charming town of Black Mountain, with its quaint shops, music scene, art galleries, hiking trails, pubs and numerous dining choices. Experience the exciting Asheville scene, the Biltmore Estate, numerous craft breweries and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Your dream vacation awaits you!

The Babbling Brook Bungalow was completed in August, 2017, and is adjacent to our new home and located above our garage. You will have your own entrance and parking space. The large space offers you a new queen bed with luxury bedding and a dresser, a twin sleeper couch in the sitting area and a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table. A Keurig coffee maker and selection of teas, coffees and sparking water are provided for your convenience.

The bungalow is located in the Village of Cheshire. Guests can walk to the Cheshire Fitness Club for a workout or a swim and reserve a court at the Cheshire Racquet Club for a game of tennis. Across the road and just a short , but pretty walk, is the Cheshire Village Center with fine restaurants, a wine and coffee shop and a gourmet market.

Babbling Brook Bungalow

Everything about this property was very high quality. It's in a great location, very convenient to downtown Black Mountain, shopping and restaurants. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We arrived to find Jean's delicious homemade cookies, for us and our dog, and a welcome letter! The bungalow was well stocked with eveything we needed. There was also a wide assortment of snacks and beverages. The check-in and check-out process was easy. I would give it more than five stars if allowed. We will be repeat guests! We highly recommend Babbling Brook Bungalow!

Weekend stay

This little bungalow was perfect for our needs. It is beautiful, comfortable and well stocked with just about anything you might want or need. There are lots of trails to walk and fun things to do close by. Jean and Doug are excellent hosts!

Wonderful Stay

We so enjoyed our second stay at the Babbling Brook Bungalow. The bungalow is very clean, nicely decorated, well stocked, and located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood, just outside downtown Black Mountain and not far from Asheville. The hosts have thought of everything to ensure their guests have a wonderful stay. We look forward to our next return to our favorite VRBO.

This property was fantastic and met every need. The location, cleanliness, and amenities were perfect. It was better than advertised because of Jean. She is such a warm and friendly host. We were welcomed by homemade cookies upon our arrival! I recommend staying and will stay her again if I am back in the area.

Jean and Doug are the best. We were in town for some hiking when a winter storm rolled in and they were very helpful and accommodating. The Bungalow was perfect and the homemade cooking were awesome!

Convenient and Well Stocked Apartment

We loved our time at this property, and it was really nice to have just about everything we needed already stocked in the home (plenty of coffee/TP/Paper Towels/soap/etc). Our little pup enjoyed the walks on the path right across the street as well.

Great stay

Our hosts were always happy to say hello when we saw them around the property. The kitchenette had everything we needed and was well stocked with snacks. There were even dog treats and extra doggie bags when we arrived. Do note that the bungalow is above a garage and there is some occasional rumbling from the door, but it was not an issue for us.

I was visiting my parents in Black Mountain and Jean and Doug's place could not have been more perfect. The studio apartment is lovingly appointed, immaculate, as well as just ideal for the person needing a small quiet getaway. I will ask to stay again!

Babbling Brook is perfection!

Peaceful, clean, perfectly positioned with more goodies than you can imagine. My son's favorite: the amazing oatmeal cookies. The pull out bed was comfortable for his 6 foot frame and I slept like a baby in the queen bed. The shower was hot and had a great shower head, all the linens were clean and comfy. Jean and Doug were easy to contact and so hospitable . We will be back!

A delightful rental!

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at this property. We will choose this property again.
