This was our first time staying at this property. We chose the location based on the reviews, and we were not disappointed. Great location, great communication with our hosts, great property. We’d definitely stay at Highmark again!
This is a perfect location for the family. We had a fantastic stay here. Location close to mt rushmore, crazy horse memorial and many other fun places. Will definitely stay here again when next we visit.

Thanks, Rofina!

Although the photos of the accommodations are accurate and a good representation of the property, it is even better in person! It is larger than we had anticipated. The property exceeded our expectations. The interior is clean. Both beds are very comfortable. The owner supplies all of the kitchenware needed to cook, serve and clean up after meals (including paper towels). He also supplies all the bathroom basics that you need for your stay, including bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, tp, and a more than ample supply of bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths. For those who run warm at night, a fan is provided in each of the bedroom closets. There are plenty of hangers in each of the closets. The shower floor is slippery, so I highly recommend using the provided shower mat.We really loved having the fireplace since the evenings were cool while we were there. It turns on with just a touch of a button. It created a wonderfully cozy atmosphere, especially for watching movies…which there are dozens of to choose from along with books to read. The exterior of the home is well maintained and beautiful. The location of the property itself is perfect for accessing the highways leading to the popular attractions. Due of the location near a well traveled, lighted highway intersection, you WILL hear the traffic when you sit outside. That didn’t prevent us from enjoying our stay at all.Communication with the owner and property manager was excellent.I would definitely stay again!
Our stay was great! The location was perfect and our kids really enjoyed the stream! The wildlife was a nice plus! We’ll be back!

Thanks, Matt! The stream is fun. I have witnessed many amazing nature phenomena gazing out the windows; from mink diving through the ice and coming up 50 feet downstream with a trout for breakfast to the belted kingfishers doing the same in death defying shallow plunge. There’s always something new.
Come see us again. You were a great guest!

We stayed here 7 years ago as well, and it was just as wonderful this time as it was then. Very clean and comfortable! So close to everything we wanted to do in the Black Hills.
