Escape to Pond Creek north of Athens

Pond Creek Escape is just the place for you to come to relax and escape the hectic city life, but also be close to Athens, home of the University of Georgia with its fine music, sports, shopping and wonderful restaurants. Need suggestions for where to eat or what to do, the owners are full of great ideas for you. There is also a table with local info for you to read and enjoy.

Pond Creek Escape is a basement apartment located on 7 acres, just 8 miles from downtown Athens. The apartment has a private entrance and a parking spot by the door for one or two cars.

Guests can enjoy nature while sitting by the pond or listening to the water fall over the dam to the creek. The best napping spot is on the hammock on the Pond porch right by the dam. Inside guests can enjoy the game room with pool/ping pong table, card/game table, dart board, sectional sofa, and large screen tv. There is a bar/kitchen with a sink, microwave, refrigerator, toaster oven, crock pot, air fryer, waffle maker, and coffee maker.

The main bedroom has a king sized bed, smart tv, and is closest to the big bathroom. The children's room has two twin sized beds, and a really cool play loft. The 3rd bedroom has a full size bed and desk in it. Off the game room area is a sitting room with a full size futon and cabinets which contain board games such as Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, Blockus, and other games. There are also decks of cards, backgammon, chess, and checkers available.

There is an extra room which includes a chair and a crib. There is one large bathroom with a large walk-in tile shower.

Basic cable and wifi are included in your stay. The wifi password will be given to you upon arrival.

A gas grill will be provided for grilling out, if you desire. Firewood will be provided for a campfire in the fire pit by the pond and a basket of s'more ingredients and marshmallow roasting sticks is provided for each stay.

The entire property has outside Ring security cameras.
