Excellent location, sweet cabin, great host who was very responsive in communications. Very private and nicely appointed. Definitely hope to stay there again.
This is a very cozy, quaint cabin. The interior is a modern take on rustic. It's conveniently located to anything you are looking to do in Mountain City.
It was wonderful, This was our second time staying here, so we knew where to go. Everything worked out great, An added bonus was seeing the nightly visits from many deer eating apples off the front yard tree.
I have stayed at this property in the past and plan to stay here every time we go visit our grand baby in Mountain City. Convenient to every thing you might need. Wonderful host and easy check-in.
Enjoyed the older home and reading the history of the original owner and in a good location for us, close to everything in town, slight traffic noise did not bother us. We will be coming back.
From the outside you’d think you’re pulling up to an old shanty!
The inside has been updated and is very functional. We enjoyed our stay and would book here again.

History of cabin unique. Restoration tasteful yet retains old feel. Isolated no close neighbors, yet easy access and close to main highway.
This cabin is remodeled beautifully from a historical cabin with a story you must read when you stay. We were all very impressed with all of it. It's in the middle of town, not in the woods, but it is a perfect place to meet up with your section hiking buddies before a planned hike. Christy, the owner was great! Thank you for hosting us at your amazing place!
Lovely historical cottage with porches overlooking Mt. City, TN
Updated 1930's cottage with all the amenities, full kitchen, 2 baths. Christy was prompt with answering all my questions. I plan to return in the fall!
Historic property in the heart of Mountain City. We were returning guests. Resident ground hog was active some nights under the house doing his thing. Work is being performed to rid property of this non-paying tenant. On Saturday, flying ants or termites (unsure which) invaded the main bath, probably due to warmer weather. Owner stated that pest control company would be scheduled for the following week. We found a vacuum cleaner and Hoovered those buggers up.

When viewing the property from outside driving up, it is shocking. Looks like an abandoned cabin. That’s for tax assessment purposes. Inside is immaculate! Clean, everything you could possibly need from the kitchen to the bathroom furnished. A super place to stay. Spotlessly cleaned. Great view of the city yet close. I will always try to return.
We rent vacation homes at least two times per year. We realize that most vacations people dine out. We rent to save money on food and choose a few special meals to eat out. That being said, the kitchen is very limited. A toaster was listed but not in the home but this was only my preference. The traffic is a little noisy at night but to be expected for the location. Otherwise, the proximity is perfect and the home is by far one of the most exceptionally clean rentals I have vacationed in. I would recommend this home to anyone for a quick trip to Mountain City.
We had a wonderful stay! The home was clean, cute, and absolutely perfect for our trip. The host was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond—when we realized we needed an extra night that wasn’t originally open, they made it possible for us to extend our stay. Such kindness and flexibility made our experience even better. Highly recommend this property and host!
