Welcome to Beachbreak Bungalow, a hidden gem nestled on a tranquil cul-de-sac, just moments from Moran Lake Beach and world-famous Pleasure Point. This enchanting 3-bedroom, 1-bath cottage offers the perfect blend of serenity and adventure for your Santa Cruz getaway.

Moran Lake Beach is a short walk down a Eucalyptus lined nature trail, the perfect spot for having a picnic on the beach, a swim in the surf, or a beautiful sunset stroll.

The home has 3 bedrooms and 1 bath, with a queen sized bed in the primary bedroom, a queen bed in the second bedroom, and a double bed in the third bedroom. The bathroom has a shower with a full bathtub. There is also an outdoor shower with hot water - great for rinsing off after a trip to the beach.

The expansive, beautifully landscaped backyard is wonderful for a relaxing BBQ where you can enjoy the company of family and friends or just relax and listen to the sound of the waves. The house is immaculately clean and well furnished with everything you need when you want to get away from it all.

Downtown Capitola with its lively beachside restaurants and shopping is a short 5 minute drive as is the Santa Cruz Harbor with its boating and water activities.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Scoop and bag up ALL dog droppings from the yard and deposit them into the garbage. TAKE GARBAGE TO CURB.
Turn off the gas for the BBQ and turn off heat in the house.
Do not leave wet laundry in washing machine. ONLY start laundry if you have time to get it into the dryer. It’s okay to leave clean laundry in the dryer.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Dogs must be potty trained and on a monthly flea prevention program. Please dispose of all dog waste.

Family getaway

My family and I had a wonderful stay and thought the property was beautiful and just what we needed! The bathroom is small and a little tight for our family of 5, but was expected from reading other reviews. Great communication and would love to come stay again.

We had a great time, the home is cute, clean and the back yard is really nice. The back fenced yard has grass trees and shade with a nice path to the beach right outside, perfect for our small dog. If you are a beach person this is home is in the best area of SC, we would definitely stay again. Thank you Amy!

Sweet cottage

We opted for this sweet cottage because it allowed pups and had minimal stairs - which we needed for my elderly grandfather. It was a cozy place to stay, and the beach nearby was also perfect.

The home is lovely. It was very clean, nicely decorated and well-stocked with all the necessities, including beach towels and chairs and all the kitchen items to cook a full meal, and large refrigerator. The backyard was perfect for meals or playing games on the picnic bench, or just hanging out on the various comfortable chairs. There are 3 bedrooms, wherein the beds were quite comfortable. The only potential drawback is one bathroom, but it was fine for our family. The owners were responsive to questions via text and check-in and check-out was easy. Short 10 min walk to the beach or 2-minute drive. The house and yard are dog-friendly.

Dog Friendly Cottage in Santa Cruz

This cottage was absolutely wonderful. It is very charming and an easy walk to the beach. It was great to able to bring our Border Collie on our family vacation. Amy was very easy to work and was a terrific hostess. We loved our vacation and would definately come back here. Bob Branson

Perfect escape to the coast

Perfect home for a family getaway

Absolutely beautiful home, lovely outdoor garden, perfectly located for your family vacation. The hosts have thought of EVERY little detail to make your stay in their home very comfortable including towels, wet suits, nice hangers (and plenty of them in every closet), comfy throw blankets, access to laundry , etc etc. This place is an absolute gem!

Great little beach house

We really enjoyed our stay at the Dog Friendly Cottage near Pleasure Point. We had a lovely time as a family. The house was very clean, the backyard is big and beautiful and the house was very close to the beach! We would be interested in staying again in the future. :)

This house worked very well for us - nice quiet location, clean house, outstanding back yard (which is rare in this area). Had some issues with the heat, but Amy and her husband addressed it right away. Loved building a fire in the fireplace! We would stay here again!

Easy to locate and gain entry. Very clean and nice furniture. Comfortable for our family of six. The beautiful backyard was a bonus especially with kids. The owners communicated promptly on any concern. Can walk to beach and many places. Just perfect! Can’t wait to go back there again!
