Really enjoyed Don Pedro Island. A very low crowd peaceful beach; the beach was gorgeous! I definitely want to come back. Oh, and loved the Jenga game! We got a lot of walking in which was great; we didn't feel the need to get a golf cart. - walked to the Rum Bay restaurant - great food! Neighbors were great and very friendly!

Thanks so much! FYI I’m bringing down 2 new beach cruisers in two weeks, so they will be ready for you! Gil
The property was beautiful we loved having access to the dock area for boating and fishing. The beach access (we did rent a golf cart) was perfect and easy to access. Unfortunatle, my sister became gravely ill during our stay, and I am glad to say that the responce from the island Fire and EMS was exceptional. Also, local neighbors were aware and alerted the condo owners when an ambulence arrived. Gil was also very helpful and understanding in our situation.

A little peace in paradise.
Let me first say that we wish we could have stayed longer. This home was beautiful and super CLEAN (even by my standards)! At least half the time when we travel I end up cleaning the place we stay at because it just isn't clean enough. That was not the case here, and my inner clean freak was able to just relax right away. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your own slice of paradise and allowing us to take a much needed escape from crazy schedules and city noise (and traffic). We hope to come back soon.

We enjoyed our stay on Don Pedro. Gil was great at communicating through email with trip details. We didn' t get to use kayak this trip, maybe next one. Place is just like pictures, quiet surroundings & very relaxing stay. If you love beach, pool & relaxing, this is place for you.
Thanks to Gil & Lori!💐
This is the 2nd time we’ve vacationed on Palm Island. The first time we stayed at the resort. This trip we were lucky enough to stay for a week at Gil and Lori’s place. It was nothing short of wonderful. The house has all the amenities you will need including a fully stocked kitchen, laundry facilities, outdoor shower and everything & anything you need for a day on the beach (which is a short walk across the street). We loved looking for shark teeth and sand dollars. The sunsets are incredible. The front of the unit faces the bay where we kayaked and saw a manatee and her baby. There is a very nice pool that hardly anyone uses. The neighbors are very friendly and gave us suggestions for restaurants off the island if you decide to leave for a day. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation do not hesitate. We loved it!!
This property is a hidden gem. Tucked away in the trees sitting on a canal. Loved sitting on the screened porch watching the fish jump. Beautifully decorated for the perfect beach rental. Beautiful pool, short walk to the beach. Everything you could want right at your fingertips. Would definitely stay there again. Owners were quick to respond to my questions.

Wanna get away? This little condo on Dan Pedro/little Palm Island is perfect! This beautiful island hideaway allows you to rest or be active. Everything you would need is provided. Kayak, bikes, fishing poles, beach chairs, umbrellas, rocking chairs, hammocks, games, grills, and a boat dock! The home is well appointed in the kitchen and with comfortable beds, a great sound system and wifi for those who still need civilization. The beach is a a short walk across the street and pool was convenient out the door. We loved the outdoor shower for after beach excursions! Our family loved this pet friendly oasis and the full time resident next door neighbors are exceptionally kind and helpful. You won't want to go home.
A slice of heaven!
This condo was everything that was described to us. The boat dock was eight out the black door and the beautiful beach was a short walk. The condo was clean and had all the amenities of home, we can’t wait to visit there again. Linda
Everything was as stated and pictures are accurate. One of our best beach experiences (we have been to numerous). The neighbors are so welcoming and kind. Nice to have use of the beach chairs and umbrella, etc! If you want a true beach/nature experience, this is the place to go. We plan to visit again.
Thank you for such a great time!!

GREAT family home on the island!
We've experienced quite a few places on Don Pedro, vacationing there since 2002, and Island House is very comfortable for a family of four, plus thanks for accommodating the dog! The extra amenities (beach chairs, umbrellas and bikes) are well maintained and the detailed instruction on using the property very much appreciated.

Clean, comfortable, on canal, conviently located near beach & intercoastal waterway.
So much better than staying at a hotel! Loved being able to go outside, enjoy the deck, beach and pool. Saw manatees & dolphins on each trip out into the ICW. Beds were comfortable. Hose at dock made boat clean up easy. Quiet, a true getaway! Next time, we will plan better & fish or bring seafood, so we can really do it up right. Ferry ride over was quick & easy.

Serenity
We enjoyed being surrounded by peacefulness. Enjoyed walking on the beach every morning looking for shells and teeth. Riding the bikes all over the island. Kayaking off the back of the property. It was too windy during daytime to spend sitting on the beach instead we sat next to the pool and enjoyed the sun.
This is a great place to be away from crowded beaches and to have quality family time!

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely unit.
We found the unit very well decorated, with a very nice kitchen. We also liked the fact that there was a half bath for the master bedroom, loved the sliders that opened all the way to the deck looking over the inner coastal. The deck below was a fun place to hang out as well and LORI and Gil provide bikes, kayaks, beach chairs and laundry facilities. We loved the pool area and swam almost every day. Our only suggestion would be that the association improve the stairways and decking leading to the units. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would gladly return!

About the host
Hosted by Gil and Lori Green
Lori and Gil Green have owned this property as a second home since 1991, and have continually updated the cozy unit. They have owned Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute in St. Petersburg since 1985, presenting continuing education seminars to physicians, sonographers, and medical professionals.
Why they chose this property
Lori and Gil Green have owned this property as a second home from their busy professional life up the coast in St. Pete Beach. Over the years this small complex of eight unit owners has become a convenient and tranquil place on the island for all the owners and guests alike. We drive off the ferry, unload the SUV, and enjoy our time either in the Gulf just across the street, in the freshwater pool, or in our boat from the boat slips 30' from our porch. It's really the best of all worlds on this special island. We have all the comforts of home that a small group or family would need.
What makes this property unique
Barrier island accessible only by private boat or ferry limits vehicle traffic on the island. Golf carts and bikes are the normal mode of high-speed transportation out here. If you're looking for Miami Beach, it's not here.
