We had a great weekend getaway celebrating our mom’s 70th birthday. The house is beautiful, extremely clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The view of the lake is beautiful! Communication with the home owner was so easy and he responded almost immediately. Would definitely book again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Camp Unadilla! There was plenty of space for my family of 6. Could have benefited from a second bathroom but we made the best of just the one. Owners are super nice and even left a welcoming gift! We will definitely recommend this property to our friends and family. Waking up to sunrises over the lake was by far the best part!
Great place and great hosts. Property was just as described and the location is beautiful! Our family had a blast! We took the canoe out on the lake too!
We just loved our stay. Brian and Jennie were just wonderful hosts.
We had a great time. The house was perfect and we basically just hung out in the water using the kayaks, canoe and dock that was provided. Great great time!!!

Glad you liked your stay and thank you for the great review! We hope to host you again soon
We stayed at the property during our son's week at Cooperstown Field of Dreams. The house was amazing and an easy drive to the fields.
The kayaks and fishing kept my daughters amused during the downtime.
Overall it was an amazing stay.
From communicating about early check-in to any questions we had, everything was easy. If you are looking for a home away from home you'll be happy here. The extra little touches made our visit perfect!

Thank you for being our first guest Michelle! We are thrilled that you and your family enjoyed your stay and we hope you come back again the next time you are in the area
Brian and Jen were gracious hosts; the packet they left was an informative and helpful overview of the area. The property is located quite conveniently to Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame. It's lakefront location is naturally peaceful.
Amazing Lake House. Extremely Clean and Cozy. Host’s accommodations were outstanding. Have another playing in Cooperstown Dreams Park next year already talking about booking this again!
We used the house for our base while our son played in a tournament in Cooperstown. It was a very easy ride of 20 minutes one way, which was a perfect distance away! House and the lake were great!!
It was very comfortable, and updated. The house was very clean and had the little extras to make stay more comfortable. The listing was accurate for everything. Hosts were always available for questions during the week.
My husband and I needed a quick getaway and this was perfect. The meals on the porch overlooking the water was perfect. My husband did some fishing, and I spent my time reading on the shore in the Adirondack chairs. Everything we would need (and anything we didn’t think to bring, like sunscreen) was provided. Jennie was quick with responses and recommendations. 5 stars!
My husband and I met friends here for a weekend, and we really enjoyed the house. The hosts communication prior to check in was very helpful. When we arrived, we found the house neat and clean. The hosts left a nice note and some basic convenience items, and also provided a book with some local recommendations. The view from the back deck is very nice, as is the dock below. Our group enjoyed fishing from the dock, canoeing, and having a campfire at night. While the house is next to a busy road, we weren’t disturbed by the noise in the bedrooms facing the lake. When it came time to check out, we appreciated that there were only a few simple instructions to follow..
The lake house at Camp Unadilla is clean, stocked with all your needs, with beautiful views of the lake. My family of 5 had space to relax and spread out. It was a perfect restful home for the last leg of our summer trip. And it was just a short drive to Cooperstown to explore the Baseball Hall of Fame, which was the main reason for our visit. Brian was informative with prompt communication and alerted us of a harmful algae bloom and how to manage it during our stay, which we greatly appreciated. We highly recommend staying at Camp Unadilla. You won't be disappointed.
We stayed at this location in hopes to create memories since our daughter lost her 2020 Cooperstown opportunity to play with her boys team. We also wanted to make memories before a military deployment. The owners were accommodating, organized, professional and thought of everything to make the renters stay enjoyable. The washing machines were a bonus (mom's necessity) and the record player was a fun! My favorite part was the lake view...sunrise and sunset. We highly recommend this location for all travelers and would visit again. Thank you for sharing your space with us!

We're glad you guys had a good time. Thanks to your entire family for your service!
The place was okay, close to busy road but well kept. We never received an email with an access code so getting in was stressful. This was not the owner's fault, as they sent it to the app weeks ago, but we did not know that because we were not notified by text or email by VRBO that it was there and tend to use email not the app. We were notified by email, however, a couple of days before our stay, that the lake water was unsafe, and that we should bring bottled water, but that it was okay to use the shower if the lake looked okay. So we didn't swim for one thing. This was confusing, was the household drinking water coming from the lake? So, it was hot, but we did not take showers or swim while there. And as there was no drinking water, it would have helped if some had been provided, as we had to go out of our way to obtain gallons of water. Clearer instructions about showering would have required the owners, not us, doing some research. There is an induction stove, but the frying pans are worn and bowed, so making pancakes was tricky. There was a tiny bit of stale coffee in the house, and no way to make less than 6 cups in the programed coffee maker, unless you bring your own K cups. A carrot peeler would have been helpful. All in all, the place was clean and well kept except for the kitchen being poorly stocked. Our communication with the owners was very pleasant. Just a little bit disappointing all in all, for reasons stated, and not as relaxing as we had hoped.

We are sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience. The information we provided regarding the HABs was after consulting with two environmental experts in the field. We would have welcomed the opportunity to answer your questions but we did not hear from you. We have generally had guests say that our kitchen is well stocked, but we will continue to look for more items to add. The vegetable peeler was in the very back of the kitchen utensil drawer and we are sorry that you couldn't locate it.
Our family had a very nice relaxing time. The house was very clean inside and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The view of the lake is amazing and we had fun using the kayaks. We really enjoyed sitting by the fire pit at night.
We were very happy with the property and everything was exactly as described. Brian was very communicative and accommodating, and it wound up being a perfect spot for the family to base itself while our son was at Dreams Park. The property is literally alongside the roadway, which has fast traffic, but we never seemed to notice the cars once inside.

My sister, Jennie, and I purchased this property in October 2018 as a family lake house. Jennie lives in Cooperstown and our parents grew up and met right in Richfield Springs. We have a lot of family in Cooperstown and grew up visiting the area often. I live in Albany with my wife and our son, Charlie.
We will do everything we can to make your stay wonderful!
What makes this property unique
Breathtaking views of the lake and beautifully landscaped steps down to the water. Recently added spray foam insulation keeps this home cool in the summer and cozy in the winter. This house has all the amenities and comfort of a full-time residence yet the charming simplicity of a camp or weekend getaway. We love that it is close to Cooperstown's restaurants, breweries, shopping, and fun!
