Welcome to Bear's Eye View. Come stay in our newly furnished completely renovated condo with fantastic mountain views. Bear's Eye View sleeps 6 & has 2 bedrooms (comfortable beds) 1.5 baths with a Queen size sofa sleeper. GREAT LOCATION!!! We are located just 1/2 mile from mid-town Ruidoso where you will find plenty of shopping & dining & Approx. 10 minutes from the turnoff to Ski Apache. During the summer months there is a heated outdoor pool, horseshoe pit & BBQ grill in the common area.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

It was very nice and clean, very straightforward to access and I'm a very convenient location as it feels like you're in the middle of the forest, but downtown is just 5-mon drive. We saw a bit of wildlife around which was the cherry on top!

Property was super clean and bigger than expected for the family. Not very far from stores and restaurants. The wildlife around us was the best experience we had, as we got to see deers, elks, and a skunk. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Ruidoso.

Great Stay!

We had a great stay, we only stayed one night got in a little late. I had to call property manager after midnight to help get code to get in & he was very kinda & helped. We stayed cause the hotel stay was gonna cost more than staying in this condo. Staying here was more comfortable & felt like home. We will definitely be coming back & would recommend anyone to stay.

Celebrated my friends bday in the mountains. The condo was just as described. We saw a doe off the balcony. It was clean and comfy. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again when we need to escape the heat of the desert.

Government issued an evacuation, closed roads to the property, due to large fire in the area. VRBO response was immediate, they refunded their portion. However, I’ve had very little contact with the owner, I’m requesting a refund.

We stayed one night in the condo with our 4 children. The space was clean and well decorated for the area. The space and decor is a little dated, but we didnt mind. The host was very quick to reply when we had a question and resolved the issue. The air conditioner had a learning curve, as we didnt realize you only used the window units and not the wall mounted thermostat (which we learned was heat). There was a coffee maker, but make sure to bring your own coffee filters, etc. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

So cute!

First timers in NM here! Such a cute little condo! We enjoyed the view and the area! Only issue was the water wasn’t hot for very long for showers! Not sure if that’s a normal thing or not. Also, make sure you plan to get your firewood ahead of time. We didn’t know we could only buy from front office and we came in later so we didn’t get to enjoy the fireplace like we hoped! Other than that, the condo was clean and super cute.

Communication Is Key

We had a last minute trip and this Condo seemed to be a good deal for the price. The owner contacted me as soon as I finalized the booking. The owner was generous and allowed us to check in early. The layout of the condo was not what I expected and it felt a bit tight. The living room & kitchen are upstairs in case you have trouble with narrow staircases. Overall the place seemed to be clean, but then we discovered some mites in our sheets. We were hesitant to sleep in the beds and had to sleep in the recliners which made for a horrible night. I did not contact the owner right away since it was 1am when this happened. I did send a message early that morning and I’ve yet to hear back 3days later. I let the owner know I took video and I could provide that if needed. Communication is always key to resolve things like this so when you stop communicating you leave people no choice but to post the issue here. I will come back to edit this if the owner decides to respond and compensate me for the inconvenience.

Although we always appreciate reviews I don’t appreciate when our guests fabricate a story in order to get a free stay. You told me there were only 2 people staying the night then proceeded to sneak in 6 people. All but 1 person was very large. You forgot that we have a camera on the front porch. The real reason you you had to sleep in a recliner is that there simply wasn’t enough room for everyone & it seemed tight. We take the cleanliness of our place very seriously & have never had anything but positive reviews from our guests. The moment you checked out I was there with the exterminator & we found that the beds were slept in & no sign of any mites or any other insects. I would say good try but you should be ashamed of yourself for trying to get a free place to stay. Please don’t do this to anyone else. Good luck in the future.

Good Location for Ruidoso town with woodsy view

PROS: fast response of owner/manager for questions, proximity to town without hustle & bustle noise, nice wood flooring, beautiful 2nd floor deck view at kitchen, living space and 1/2 bath. Downstairs bedrooms with comfy beds and window A/c was a lifesaver this trip and full bath lots of towels! Parking space for this unit was easily enough for a full size 4x4 ext cab pickup and right at the door. The only CONS: this is an obviously older build, but nicely maintained, although the bedding and rugs have a lot of mileage on them, some pulls/rips/stains that could easily be cleaned or replaced with new updated ones. Bathtub is VERY slippery for showers, no anti-slip mat available. No drain plug at kitchen sink. Luckily I brought extra handsoap pumps!

Wrong billing and checkout issue

I was billed for 2 nights and only stayed one. Never got a receipt. I asked for a late checkout because we were there to spread my son’s ashes and the property manager argued that checkout is at 11. I asked 2 days before about late checkout. The posted rules say you can checkout late with advance notice, which I gave. By the time he finally responded without arguing tgat I was only being billed for one night, we were already loaded. All we wanted to do was disperse my son’s ashes, then come back to load. We were out by 11 and I won’t stay again because of cleanliness and attitude of the property manager.
