Beautiful Cottage in stunning Scenery

We had a wounderful time. Owl Cottage is a beautiful, cosy traditional cottage on a farm with the additional luxury of an outdoor hut tub and sauna. Perfect place to relaxe and take day trips around Cornwall.

Beautiful cottage in a peaceful setting

We really enjoyed our stay in Owl Cottage. It is beautifully equipped, and we were very comfortable for the two weeks we were there. The daily visits from the chickens, geese and Panther the Cat, were an added touch. The location is ideal for visiting the North Cornwall coastal villages, and our favourite, walking on the Southwest Coast Path. The cottage itself was spotless, and completely equipped, with a modern kitchen and comfortable living area. We loved it, and will definitely return. Denise and David from New Brunswick, Canada

Wir haben uns in dem gemütlich eingerichteten Owl Cottage sehr wohl gefühlt und auch die sehr gut ausgestattete Küche gerne zum Kochen genutzt. Alles war sehr sauber und Adrian ein Gastgeber, wie man ihn sich besser nicht wünschen kann. Abgerundet wurde die Wohlfühlatmosphäre durch die herumspazierenden Gänse und das kontaktfreudige Huhn. Für unsere Aktivitäten (z.B. Bodmin Moor, verschiedene Küstenwanderungen, Lanhydrock) war die Lage von Steppes Farm ideal. Wir können einen Aufenthalt auf Steppes Farm klar empfehlen und würden bei einem erneuten Cornwall-Urlaub gerne wiederkommen.------------We felt very comfortable in the cozily furnished Owl Cottage and also enjoyed using the well-equipped kitchen for cooking. Everything was very clean, and Adrian was the best host one could wish for. The feel-good atmosphere was rounded off by the geese strolling around and the sociable chicken. The location of Steppes Farm was ideal for our activities (e.g., Bodmin Moor, various coastal walks, Lanhydrock). We can highly recommend a stay at Steppes Farm and would love to return if we visit Cornwall again.

Wunderbar

Die Farm liegt etwas abseits, in den nöchstem Ort, Camelford, braucht man etwa 10 amimuten mit dem Auto. Das Cottage ist sehr gemütlich und hat alles was man braucht. Beim Blick aus dem Fenster kann man die Hühner und Gänse beobachten - und die Pferde, wenn sie im Stall stehen. Es ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung von Cornwall. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit und geben gerne Auskunft bei Fragen. Der Whirlpool ist natürlich noch das Sahnehäubchen.

Lage des Cottages sehr gut, um Conrwall zu erkunden!

Das Häuschen ist sehr sauber und liegt sehr ruhig. Besonders schön ist die breite Fensterbank, auf der man sitzen kann und im Hof die herumlaufenden Enten, Gänse und Hühner beobachten kann. Der hot tube und die Sauna waren auch sehr angenehm.

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Owl Cottage sehr genoßen. Die Lage der Farm ist traumhaft, etwas abseits, vollkommen ruhig und idyllisch. Auf dem Gelände begegen einem viele gesellige Tiere, das Cottage selbst ist liebevoll, gemütlich und mit allem Komfort eingerichtet. Es ist ausgesprochen sauber und ordentlich. Auf dem Hof gibt es eine kleine Touristen-Information im Gartenhäuschen mit jeder Menge Tipps, Landkarten und Flyern. Die Besitzer sind sehr warmherzig und freundlichen. Gerne beraten Sie Ihre Gäste hinsichtlich geplanter Ausflüge und Touren, halten einen kleinen Plausch oder versorgen Sie mit frischen Eiern. Das Gästebuch ist voll mit Einträgen begeisterter Kinder, die sich beim Ponyreiten in eines der schönen Pferde verliebt haben oder auf ein Wiedersehen mit dem verschmuster Hofkater hoffen. Vom Cottage aus ist man in wegen Autominuten in Tintagel, mitten im Bodmin Moor oder an einem der atemberaubenden Strände Cornwalls. Nach langen Tagestouren haben wir unsere Abende gerne vor dem Ofen oder im Whirlpool unterm Sternenhimmel verbracht. Für uns steht fest, wenn wir nach Cornwall zurückkehren, dann immer wieder gerne auf die Steppes Farm.
