The cottage is wonderful. It is right across the street from the beach and there are beautiful views from the cottage. It was so nice after driving and sight seeing all day to come back and hear the ocean and have just a relaxing atmosphere up in the TV room at the end of the day with awesome views. Joe was very helpful and responsive!
This is a fabulous house and I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to visit Co Clare. The location is amazing..within walking distance of beautiful Fanore Beach and within easy reach of so many lovely walks-Ballyvaughan Village Loop, Caher Valley Loop and Flaggy Shore walk all worth doing to see the wonders of the Burren! The house is very comfortable and really well appointed-the kitchen is well-equipped and makes it easy to cook at home. The bed was very comfortable...and the whole house was spotlessly clean. O'Donohue's bar in Fanore and the village of Ballyvaughan offer plenty of options for eating out. Joe is very friendly and easy to deal with...this house is a true gem on the Wild Atlantic Way and we can't wait to visit again.
Wonderful home. House immaculate. Joe couldn’t do enough to make our stay relaxing. If you want a quiet place that is in close proximity to a beach this is perfect. Beautiful views from the house overlooking the sea. Aloha surf club gave an excellent two hour introduction to surfing. 20 minutes walk on a back road to O’Donoghue’s. Food excellent and a warm welcome. Drive to the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin and Lahinch. We didn’t want to leave. Five stars all round.
My husband and I had a great stay at the Craggy Cottage. Very comfortable, clean, and beautiful view. It was our first time visiting Ireland, and we will definitely be back.
The craggy cottage was a great location for our exploration of the west coast. The house is quaint, comfortable, and has an awesome view of the ocean. Joe is friendly and a great resource for local sights and restaurants. Could not have asked for more!
Joe is a wonderful host. The cottage is absolutely lovely. This was our second visit to this property this year and we will certainly return. Fanore, the Burren, and Clare are very special places to us- our home away from home. Thank you, Joe!

Great place to stay
Very clean and well equipped and well appointed near the beach. Great views from the upstairs lounge but a place to sit downstairs too. My dog loved the garden and I enjoyed the wild spring flowers. Sean was very helpful - meeting us at the house when we arrived and calling in when we had a problem with the heating. We really enjoyed our stay!
The property had large rooms and was in an ideal location for our first trip to Ireland. Lovely views of the beech from the front of the cottage. Joe was helpful and gave us some ideas of what to see localy.
We spent a wonderfull week in this cottage located just in front of the beach .
House is very Bright and well equipped
Cherry on thé cake, all week was warm and sunny.
We Hope to come back!
This cottage is in a wonderful location. Beautiful views and just a few minutes walk from a lovely sandy beach. The kitchen equipment is exceptional with the added bonus of being able to watch rabbits in the garden. The house rules state that pets are not allowed upstairs, so as we had a dog with us, we didn't have access to a television. But we coped fine with our tablets. Very good wifi.Ballyvaughan (petrol station and good Centra), Doolin and Lahinch (fabulous beach) are all within 30 minutes from the cottage, as are the Cliffs of Moher
The property is lovely with stunning views of Fanore Beach… right across the road. All of your essentials are in the cottage, which is more than adequate to base your stay and really comfortable for couples or even a family. Easy access from either Shannon or Dublin. Great central location for exploring Cos. Clare and Galway. Fanore has a tidy shop for essentials (Siopa Fanore) and a wonderful pub (O’Donohue’s), which are both just three minutes by car or an easy stroll on a private off-road. We explored as far south as Lahinch and as north as Connemara- so truly a good place to make a home base and explore the Wild Atlantic Way and up into the Gaeltacht. Joe couldn’t have been kinder and more welcoming. We will certainly be back… and soon. Thanks, Joe!
The view from the cottage is beautiful! The drive there has a gorgeous and breathtaking back drop of landscape views! I was in awe of that! The owner was very helpful and informative! He made sure I understood expecting I needed to know about the cottage.Lots of room and well kept, and cute cottage! The only negative comment I have is it is quite a distance from most of the attractions and sights except for the Cliffs of Moher. I didn’t mind it, but if you are looking for someplace closer to all the attractions then this is not the place to stay at. If you’re looking for stunning views, relaxation, and a beach this is a great place to stay!
We had a wonderful time in Fanore and Joe and Noreen were great hosts. We had no reason to contact them between check in and departure and that says a lot about the house. It was really well stocked and had everything we required including amazing views of Fanore Beach and the Aran Islands. We hope to stay again soon.
This cottage was wonderful. It overlooks the Wild Atlantic and the sunsets were amazing. In the morning the sun comes up directly behind the cottage.
The rooms are lovely and spacious. We enjoyed the tv room upstairs with the skylight windows that overlooks the beach. The beach was nice and great to walk on.
Such a peaceful and wonderful stay! We hope that we can make another trip back to this wonderful cottage in the future.
The house was well laid out, clean and superbly resourced, even down to the Nespresso coffee maker! As we have
5.0mbps at home you can guess how delighted we were to find that the WiFi was super fast at 53mbps!
The view of the sea was a real must for us and we were delighted to be able to see it from the main living area downstairs and the upstairs area with picture windows on a full wall.
The owners Joe and Noreen were there to welcome us with a warm friendly chat and had left us smoked salmon and an apple tart as welcome gifts. This hospitality was evident in communication with Joe prior to our stay.
Everything was made easy for us and we had a super relaxing time in the cottage, with stunning views and great walks on the beach and around the Burren. For us it was sheet bliss!
This house is in the perfect location for Fanore beach and driving around the area. The beach is a 5 minute walk or 1 minute drive, and lovely to hang around.
The house is well equipped and very comfortable, with great views. Joe is an excellent host who responded immediately when we had a query. We had a great holiday and would love to return again.
