Just as described - a short walk to the beach but the closest entrance is a private beach so you have to walk down the beach about 3 blocks for public beach. Our family used the private pool the most. Close to everything food, grocery’s and entertainment. Our extended family had a wonderful time.

We had a tremendous stay at this property. The pool and back yard area was fantastic. Plenty of chairs and a large table for outdoor dining. Bedrooms and bathrooms were all large and updated. Easy golf cart ride to the beach too!

Southern Sands Destin

This was the perfect place for our family. From the Grandparents down to our youngest grandchild of 1.5 years old, everyone was comfortable and had a great stay. Especially for me as a Grandpa getting to watch the kids play, the house had everything we wanted

Enjoyed our stay, house was perfect size for our family, walk to beach wasn’t bad only issue was areas of the home were not clean, but other than that it was great. Jan was very quick to answer questions, and nice to work with.

Wonderful place.

Our host Jan was very pleasant and communicative and her place was perfect for our family vacation. Close to the beach and a very unique house and floor plan. Great pool too, with a nice, wrap around porch. We all had a blast and will remember this one as special. Thank you Jan!

Family Getaway

Our stay was phenomenal, from the rental contract to communication with Jan, the accuracy of the property description. We had a ball and will definitely be renting again. Jan is amazing answered all of our questions and made this one the best vacations we have done. The property is perfect for all age ranges, spacious, and stocked with more amenities than you can imagine.

Family vacation

Awesome experience. Family oriented. House was beautiful, pool was great. Golf course was a plus. Family really enjoyed it. Jan the owner was very nice and was always prompt with any questions we had. Would definitely love to come back someday for another family vacation.

Amazing

Very clean and very nice neighborhood. Excellent communication with owner. Everything was as it said it was. Front porch very inviting and peaceful. Beautiful backyard and pool… getting back and forth to beach was great with golf cart. Easy walk as well.

Great group trip.

Took my diverse aged office staff to Destin as a thank you for their hard work. The house was wonderful. It even better than the pics. The pool and back yard was great especially on days when the little kids in our group were worn out from time at the beach. The rooms were clean and spacious. The kitchen was able to accommodate all of our needs. Great property and would def stay here again!!!

Destin Vacation

The house is beautiful and fit our needs. The location is great as the house is in a quiet neighborhood and close to beach. Used the golf cart but it had little power as it needs new batteries. Jan was great to work with and resolved any problems that came up

5 star experience

We had an amazing stay at Southern Sands! From the moment we booked, Jan was attentive and extremely informative. The home was clean and within walking distance to the beach. The pool was a big hit for the kids and adults and was stocked with rafts and other various pool toys! We rarely went out for dinner because of the comfort of the home. I’m sure we will be back someday!

Perfect home/location for family vacation

Great, well equipped property for a family vacation with kids. The pool was excellent, clean and we loved how the house was set up with pool toys and floats, loungers, etc. Layout of the house was nice and we had everything we needed. Jan was excellent to work with, and we appreciated her clear and thorough communication. Great location for access to the beach. We rented the golf cart and enjoyed using it to cruise the neighborhood and shuttle back and forth to the beach. Hope to be back soon!

Labor Day Vacation 2020

We would definitely stay here again! No major issues through our stay. Jan was attentive to our needs, informative of Destin’s entertainment options and restaurants. The home is located within close proximity of the beach. Enjoyed the golf cart for short trips. The accommodations were comfortable. The pool was great and kept the entire family entertained.
