Luxury Waterfront at Galion Resort in Old Town

This condo is a 2BR/2BA Penthouse Loft on the 5th floor overlooking the marina. On the first floor is a full sized, fully equipped kitchen, breakfast area, dining room, living room and the master bedroom & bath. The second floor has an open loft which overlooks the living room, the second bedroom & bath. This unit will sleep a total of 8, with a king bed in the master, a queen bed in the second bedroom and loft & a queen pullout in the living room. The balcony is accessible through French doors from both the living room and the master bedroom. Also included for your convenience are 4 TVs with cable, DVD player, washer/dryer, iron & ironing board, in room safe, wet bar and free wireless Internet. During September, this condo received a new kitchen, wet bat and entertainment center in both the living room and the master bedroom.

We had a few issues with the unit, but the property management was very responsive to help resolve them. The property is located just down the street from Duval street and is easily walkable. Pool was clean and enjoyable. Main bathtub on first floor could be challenging to get into if you have any mobility issues, but the upstairs shower is easily accessible. The stairs to get upstairs are a steep spiral staircase Enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Beautiful condo and great location. Just some funky things…like the master bathroom only has a tub. You have to climb into the tub to shower. Very challenging getting in and out. And it’s the only bathroom on the first floor, so if you have guests on the pull out sofa they either have to walk through your bedroom or go up the winding spiral stair case. Other than that, it’s great!

We decided on the Galleon Resort as opposed to a random person’s house because of the proximity and other things on property like the Sunset Tiki bar. The unit we were in was clean, had great views, and perfect for our group of 4! We had such a great time here and plan on booking with this host in the future!!

No complaints at all - we have stayed at the Galleon before and this is an excellent unit with a recent refurb and an owner who was great at communicating. We like E block for the marina view. The mezzanine worked well - there is a bathroom and a bedroom up there with a further bed on the mezzanine balcony. There are no blinds or curtains on the mezzanine windows which was fine in March but might be a challenge in the summer with an earlier dawn! We had a great stay.

For starters, there is only 1 parking space available at the resort.. so if you secure a room that holds 6-8 people just know any additional cars will need to park off property for roughly 100/day. The room was plenty big enough for our party, however the 2 bedrooms upstairs have skylights..no shades, no window tint, just blazing sunlight at the crack of dawn!!! Ice machine in the fridge did not work, so every day was a phone call to maintenance to try and fix, and bring us some ice. 2nd night in, we were loading the dishwasher and for some reason there was no tension on the dishwasher door, so when you open it you better hold on to the handle because it will slam down, and unfortunately I became the victim of a smashed big toe.. blood everywhere.. reported it that evening, maintenance came the next morning. We told them we had another night there and they were planning on replacing it, but didn't. Manager, Toby, was made aware. Nothing fixed.Overall, nice resort, pool area is nice, marina has a perimeter path thats well lit and well maintained. It is close to restaurants, excursions and Duval/Mallory Square.Wish I could say I recommend, but this particular unit is a "hard no" for a re-visit.

Great Family Stay

Absolutely the best location when staying in old town. Easy walk to everything around Key West. Great small beach into the Gulf we used everyday. Condo had everything we needed and the best view - even of the July 4th fireworks! Will definitely recommend.

Great stay in Key West - this was our first time here and we loved the condo and the location. Check in is at 4pm but our unit was ready when we arrived at noon! The unit was very clean and had an incredible view. We could not ask for a better location either. The pool, private beach area, and the tiki bar were amazing. We will be back!

The location is excellent with easy access to key west highlights, marina and restaurants. Very friendly staff at Galleon check in/check out. The a/c upstairs made a constant squeeking squeeling noise which was loud and kept us awake, couldn’t sleep. Not good.
