Cooperstown is famous for the National Baseball Hall of Fame. However, even non-baseball fans love the stunning surroundings. Between Otsego Lake, the rolling hills, eclectic shops, restaurants, and museums, there truly is no place like Cooperstown!

A little background...
Both cottages date back to 1810 and are located on Oaks Creek (a locally known trout creek) just 2 miles from Cooperstown, NY. We just recently purchased them from the family that lived here over 8 decades while raising 3 generations! Though we have put a ton of blood, sweat, and yes...even some tears into renovations, it has always been with the goal of providing guests with welcoming vacation homes that honor history while bringing in modern updates and style. You will see that our hard work has resulted in eclectic, cheery, and welcoming cottages framed by the stunning views of Oaks Creek!

We have offered our "Front Cottage" since 2019, and our "Back Cottage" since 2022 (Property ID #2580228).

We are also offering a "2 Cottage Bundle" (Property ID #2589854).
Regardless if you rent them together or individually, we love our cottages and are truly honored to share them with you!

Please: -Load and start the dishwasher -Throw away opened food/drinks. You can leave unopened food, drinks, or snacks, opened condiments, anything that you would use if you were the incoming family.
Creek Towels - wash, dry, fold, and put back in the baskets. Bath towels - Leave on the bathrooms' floors. Pillows and bedding - Back on their original beds, we take care of all the rest!
Garbage - All garbage goes into the cans in the garage. Keys - Leave all doors unlocked and keys on the hook by the front door.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Our only goal is for you to have fun, however, please be respectful of our neighbors and our cottage. Should any damage occur, please notify us ASAP.
We are on a septic so do not flush anything other than toilet paper. No-nos include, but not limited to any type of wipes, feminine products, frogs;)
Oaks Creek borders our property. Though we want you to enjoy every aspect of it, it also comes with natural risks. Do not leave children unattended

Baseball & family

The house is absolutely adorable and cozy! Made us feel right at home. We stayed here as our son was playing at Cooperstown Dreams Park. We couldn’t have asked for a better location! Great location, close to DreamsPark and Cooperstown

Was nice, quiet location. Recently updated. Great high speed wifi which I found to be a rarity in this area. Erin was extremely accommodating. Checked in with us often and even offered to let me ship my son's replacement bat to her office before arrival. Appreciated the ease of communication regarding our stay and needs.

Dreams Park Dream!!

This property was amazing for what my family was looking for as my son was playing at Cooperstown Dreams Park. The close proximity to the fields made the commute back and forth very easy during our stay. The house offered enough accommodations for our family of 9. The property owner was very attentive to my emails and information throughout the process. I would highly recommend this property especially if you have a child playing at Dreams Park.

Fantastic house and location!

We could not have asked for a better place to stay for our visit to Cooperstown. We stayed for a week long baseball experience at Dreams Park. The house is very well appointed and has everything you need for a visit with multiple families. The location is ideal. It’s the halfway point between the town and Dreams Park. Lots of fun things to do in the surrounding area and close to many great places to eat. Erin and Jim are wonderful hosts and we (especially the baseball boys) really enjoyed the delicious homemade sauce and meatballs! So thoughtful of you to cover a meal for us! We will definitely return to this house for our next Cooperstown visits with our younger sons!

Perfect place to stay in Cooperstown

This was a perfect place for our family to stay when in Cooperstown for a tournament at Dreams Park. It is situated in between Dreams Park and downtown Cooperstown, only a few minutes from each. The house has everything you would need, a ton of charm, and lots of room. The hosts were great and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the week.

Amazing Place

This was our first VRBO experience, and this home totally our expectations. We arrive to find a delicious meal waiting for us. The house was clean and very well-stocked. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything a family could ever need including a French press! We made wonderful memories enjoying the creek in the back, sitting out on the back deck watching the starts, and playing some fun games of foosball. We will definitely be back. Thank you Erin and Jim for helping us make some wonderful family memories while we were in Cooperstown!

Beautifully renovated home with outstanding top notch personal service!

As soon as I found this newly renovated cottage online to rent for our week in Cooperstown I fell in love with it and booked it. When we arrived the home had even more charm and character than the pictures show. It was so very cozy, so nicely decorated and extremely clean. As we walked into the kitchen we found a note along with pasta and a fresh french baguette with fresh meatballs and spaghetti sauce waiting for us in the freezer (Erin tried to meet with us in person ❤️, but our schedule was too hectic). The meal was so delicious and such an incredibly thoughtful and kind gift to have a relaxing night with our family to warm up the spaghetti and have dinner together. The home was fully stocked with water, paper towels, toilet paper, all kitchen appliances, washer and dryer, games, smart tv, grill, outside patio table, fishing poles, and plenty of room to park. The huge open green space in the yard was the boys favorite part to go throw the baseball. The home was so close to Cooperstown Park and just as close to downtown. What truly stuck out above ALL other rental properties in the many locations we have stayed at was the above and beyond heart and customer service from Erin and Jim. Erin texted to check on our family soon after we arrived and again the following morning. We have a 14 year old special needs daughter who is in a wheelchair and it was difficult for me to get her in and out of the house with the front 2 steps. All I did was have a conversation with Erin while we were attending our sons opening ceremonies and when we returned back to the cottage that night , Erin and Jim had spent their day building a ramp for our daughter to easily get in and out if the house!!!❤️❤️❤️ Every part of my heart was touched and the kindness they poured into our family when they did not have to because most people would not will never ever be forgotten. They are truly a gift and the most amazing above and beyond host you can ask for. Erin continued to check on us the remainder of our trip and brought fresh flowers for the kitchen table. We will always remember Cooperstown but the biggest impression we will take with us is the compassion two people showed our family. If you are going to Cooperstown you will not find better service and there is no other place we would recommend more! Thank you Erin and Jim for an amazing stay at your beautiful home!

Why they chose this property

I will never forget my first visit to Cooperstown. It could have been that I’ve LOVED baseball my whole life (GO YANKS!). It also could have been that the lake, town, and vacationers reminded me of the great times I had while growing up. I guess it doesn’t matter why, but I instantaneously knew that coming to Cooperstown felt like I was coming home.

What makes this property unique

I’m not going to lie and say that the cottages were flawless when purchased in November of 2018. However, those flaws were nothing in comparison to their history and the absolutely stunning property on which they are located. When we saw the lawn, Oaks Creek, fruit trees, and grapevine, we knew that we had found the perfect place for not only us to enjoy, but also to share with others!
Jim and I are so proud of the way the cottages have turned out, and hope to be your hosts very soon!
