Excellent hosts and excellent location. Could not have been more impressed and John/Bruce were fantastic hosts. They were easy to reach and attentive. Check in and check out was seamless, everyone was so kind and helpful. The listing was accurate and proximity to town could not be beat! Could not recommend enough!
This property has a great location within walking distance to Main Street in Cooperstown. Very clean and everything we needed (2 adults). The host is very nice as well.
Location is great. My significant other and I stayed here with two of our friends, and we loved that we were able to walk everywhere in the heart of Cooperstown. The host is so nice and welcoming. The front porch is lovely, and neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. The house is spacious, the kitchen is well stocked with cookware, dishes, etc, and the living room is so comfortable. The cleanliness of the house is OK. There is obvious dust in the bedrooms. The upstairs bathroom curtain rod is not properly hung, so the curtain lays in the tub, and there is mold on the bottom of the curtain. There was hardly any hand soap left at any of the sinks, so we bought more. Safety wise, the bottom step on the front porch is not secure and the concrete below the step out front is broken and uneven, which is hazard. Lastly, all of the mattresses are old spring mattresses, so not the most comfortable, but there were many clean pillows and bed linens so that was nice. Overall, we were happy with our stay.
Wonderful old house 200 yards from Doubleday Field. Well stocked with amenities, and decorated with baseball memorabilia. John, our host, was wonderful to deal with, and made our stay easy. Loved our Columbus Day weekend in Cooperstown! Highly recommend!!
Great place to stay if you like to park your vehicle for the week and only walk 3 minutes to main st, shops, restaurants, hall of fame, double day field, even the otsego lake marina is within walking distance, convenience store, etc. anything you need is within a short walk, i love that! House is very spacious, 2 full baths, 3 bedrooms, has heat and a/c...all in all very comfortable and convenient place to stay in cooperstown!
Location was amazing! It is an old house so you have to know it will have quirks, but it was clean, homey, and inviting. John was a great host and communicated well. We had not known that the house was a duplex and that he lived in the other side of the house (perhaps I missed that in the description) but that was not an issue. We brought our dog, who apparently barked everytime we left to watch the baseball games .... that was an unexpected challenge, though John communicated quickly about that and I think we worked it out so as to not disturb anyone.

Great home!
The house was spacious, clean, well maintained and updated. A very short walking distance to Main Street, restaurants, shops, and the Hall of Fame. John (the owner) was attentive and gave excellent suggestions for restaurants. There is also a small grocery store/deli right around the corner up the street. Great location and plenty of off-street parking.
