I'm happy you enjoyed the house. My 2 properties are in the same neighborhood. My family drops their chairs and umbrellas off at the beach early in the morning and then most of us ride our bikes to the beach or use the free trolley. The Town of Bethany Beach limits each house to 2 parking passes.

Thank you for your feedback. I stayed at the house from July 27 through August 3, just 2 weeks before you. It was stocked with 2 sets of measuring spoons and cups, so I'm very surprised that those are missing. I would happily have corrected any deficiencies had I been made aware of them during your stay. I will be at the house next week to do a full inventory and replace any missing items. The walking distance to the beach is one mile. That may vary from the driving distance since you can't use the beach parking passes on Garfield Pkwy. For liability reasons, I do not supply beach chairs or umbrellas, as detailed in my listing, the rental agreement, and the check-in instructions. They are readily available for rent at kiosks along the beach if you are not bringing your own. The guest who checked in next reported the empty propane tanks and they were immediately replaced. It is always my goal to provide an enjoyable and hassle-free experience for my guests.

It was entirely my fault that the guest's entry was delayed by 30 minutes. I tried to compensate for that inconvenience and extended their check-out time by four hours. The complaint about the linens and towels is unfounded, however. It is normal practice in the Delaware beach communities for guests to bring their own linens. The fact that linens are not included is contained in the VRBO listing as well as Boldly Highlighted on the first page of the lease that the guest signed when he booked the property. I provided a link to the local firm that rents linens in the lease. I could not control that the firm changed their website's URL, however, I was able to provide the guest with the current web address when he called me. I never want a guest to have a poor experience and hope that they were able to enjoy the extra time I offered in compensation for the delayed check-in.

I always want my guests to have a 5 star experience. I let this guest know prior to her arrival that I would be overseas and have very spotty internet and phone service during the weekend of her stay. I furnished, in advance, contact information for the housekeepers and my handyman and asked her to contact them if she had any issues. Rather than do that, she emailed me about the issues she mentioned. I responded immediately to her asking her to contact the housekeeper as my trying to do that from halfway across the world would only delay having the issues corrected. She chose not to make that phone call or send an email.
