Lovely home on the water with a rock beach nice for walks. Well decorated with art. Perfect for 2 or 3 couples as each bedroom is on a separate floor with their own full baths. It was supplied well. We enjoyed fires in the outdoor firepit two nights. Lots of stars.

Amazing ocean front property! **A note that the basement suite is an additional charge to book.**The art in the home and the views from living room and BOTH primary bedrooms were phenomenal. Beds were so comfy, plenty of closet space for each bedroom and every gadget you could ever need in the kitchen. Two sets of washer/dryers. This home is clearly very loved by all the details that are attended to. 23 easy minutes to Bar Harbor and 20 to Ellsworth made everything feel close but not too close. Eagle and seal sitings every day and the lawn was beautifully kept. I can’t say enough great things about how beautiful and comfortable this property was.

Visit to Acadia

This house was absolutely amazing! You could tell the owners care very much about the property and the guests that stay there. The views over to Acadia were an added bonus!

Wonderful Week in Maine

Sea Gypsy was the perfect location for our family trip to Maine. It is just a short drive away from Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and more. The house has everything you could possibly need and is in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood.

We were two couples here on our first trip, exploring Maine. This home exceeded our expectations! The main and upper floors were perfect for two couples. Views from every window. Plenty of room to spread out and visit. Great kitchen for cooking our meals. And the artwork was absolutely lovely! We would definitely stay here again!

A perfect stay

This has been one of our favorite properties that we have stayed at. We had a lot of plans for our trip but found ourselves wanting to just hang around the house! There was plenty of room for all of us and everything was spotless. This location is perfect for heading into Acadia. The view is great from the house and the access to the beach was great! We would definitely stay here again!

Sea Gypsy - 7 Waters Edge, Trenton ME

Everything met and exceeded our expectations. The home is beautiful and the furnishings were second to none. Extremely pleased with this rental. Highly recommended, we hope to return next year.

Wonderful

One of the nicest overall VRBOs I've stayed in. Good location and a clean, well stocked home. My only suggestions would be to get an air conditioner for the main room (bedrooms have ac).

Family vacation

Great time in Maine and a wonderful stay at the Sea Gypsy! Exactly as listed and everything you could ever need was supplied, the most well stocked VRBO I have ever stayed at! Comfortable home with beautiful views. Close to all activities but far from noise and crowds. Beautiful sunrise views. Will be back!

Fabulous location with beautiful views!

What a perfect location for exploring MDI and Downeast Maine. Beautiful views and a private beach with warm calm waters. Our kids loved having their own space to hangout after the day’s adventures. The kitchen has everything you need and the patio table and dining room are lovely places to enjoy a meal after a day of exploring. The home is really close to route 3 and Ellsworth so exploring the greater Downeast area was really easy. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Scenery

The house was well stocked with all the essentials such as paper goods, etc. The kitchen is a cook’s dream. The scenery is beautiful out of the dinning room area. The house is located in quiet and pleasant environment. I. Addition the house is conveniently located to all types of activities such as hiking, restaurants, winery, etc.

Quiet ocean side getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here ! The ocean views were spectacular. Waking up to seeing eagles flying overhead was so peaceful. The home was fully stocked with all the kitchen gadgets needed! The home decor so unique. Everywhere you looked there was a new piece of artwork to admire. Thanks for putting so much thought into making your home so comfortable! We had a wonderful vacation!

Moon over Frenchman's Bay

The views alone are worth the stay. So many plusses! The house has so many wonderful things to look at in it that its entertaining. The kitchen is wonderful for any cook. A very quiet "lane". The ocean is calling you here, for a walk on the rocky beach or just sitting outside/inside doesn't matter because its so relaxing just gazing at the water no matter where you are. The moon and the sun come up where you can see "everything". You won't want to leave even though the location is such that Bar Harbor or Acadia or Southwest Harbor are all just a short drive away. This is one of our favorite rents and we have rented many. Thanks so much!

The view was spectacular. The outside was great. We had an issue with closet space. On the 1st floor there were only 2 bedroom drawers. My husband had to live out of a suitcase. Also there was no closet to hang clothes. The kitchen had very little empty closet space and the downstairs had no dressers or closet. Also one of the reasons I took this place was a review that said it was great on the first floor for a handicapped person. The bed was very difficult to get into. You had to climb up removable steps to get into. The bed was very comfortable once you got in it.

Perfect location near Acadia

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 week stay at this comfortable home. Everything was in order and very well-appointed. The kitchen had all the equipment we could possibly need and the host provided easily-findable appliance instructions. We especially appreciated the restaurant recommendations (the Travelin’ Lobster was the best!) The view across the bay to Acadia National Park was spectacular, and we enjoyed watching the sunrises/sunsets and the changing tide out the back picture windows. The home is in a quiet area, but just 15 minutes from town and good restaurants, and near all the outdoor activities we wanted to do. Highlights of our stay were hiking various trails in Acadia (get a good trail map from the visitor center), the view from the top of Cadillac Mountain, watching a young porpoise surf the incoming tide near Frazer point on the Schoodic peninsula and a trip to Quoddy Head State Park which is the easternmost point of land in the US. And then coming back to relax at the house to watch the sunset. We even learned to play dominoes from the available games. We would love to come back again.

Best of “The Narrows”

A clean, spacious, well appointed property nestled in a wooded, secluded area. This property provides a spacious family gathering room that overlooks the water, known as “The Narrows”. It offers amenities and comforts not often afforded by similar listings. The kuerig coffee system was a plus, along with the variety of owner supplied k-cups. Every morning we observed harbor seals, eagles, humming birds and hawks just outside the family room windows. We kayaked the bay as it is well protected from the occasional winds. This is a well connected small country neighborhood and the neighbors are delightful. One of our favorite vacation rentals.

Sea Gypsy Trenton

Property was beyond expectations. Super clean, comfortable, well decorated, great view! Can't say enough good things about Sea Gypsy. It is in a very quiet area-only noise is from occasional airplane and the birds. Kitchen has every tool/cooking item you can think of. Beds were comfortable. Slept with the windows and doors open (all have screens, even the regular doors have retractable ones). Basic necessities in the house-tea, sugar, coffee filters, salt/pepper. House has many interesting details and decorations. It is the best VRBO I've stayed in. Son loved having the downstairs bedroom/bath/sitting room to himself. My mother loved the bedroom on the main floor-only 4 steps up for her. House has many interesting details and decorations. It is the best VRBO I've stayed in. Just a note-it is not in Bar Harbor or on Mount Desert Island, It is 24 minutes from Bar Harbor but just a short (less than 10 minutes) drive to restaurants and grocery store in Trenton. This was not an issue to us since we were out exploring during the day. Sugar Bakery had great muffins and blueberry desserts (5 minutes). The Chart Room was also great (17 minutes). Stairs down to the beach are very steep and there is a ramp at the very bottom. Huge rocky beach to explore at low tide.
