This was our 2nd year to stay at this perfect home to house 19 and celebrate an early family Christmas. We appreciated the new stove/oven as well as other upgraded additions. The winter lake view is a bonus and so close to local restaurants etc.
The house was perfect for our big Thanksgiving gathering. Lots to do and the kitchen was well equipped. Folks were talking about a return trip to take advantage of the summer amenities.
Great location. The view was beautiful! We enjoyed the fireplaces and large dining table for meals together. I would suggest making it more clear that there's only one bedroom on the main floor without steps. We thought there were 2 from the pictures. We had some older people in our group that needed the main floor.
My family of 5 stayed for 3 nights. The location was perfect. The home met all of our expectations and more! We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Lake Delavan.
Overall great house and really enjoyed our stay! Plenty of space for sleeping a bigger group and for activities including relaxing on the deck and looking out over the lake. More TVs than you’ll ever need. Nice bar and restaurant a few blocks away. Quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay and would rebook again in the future!
We had a group of 11 ranging in age from 9 to 87 and this location was perfect. Lots of bedrooms/floors so everyone could be together but have some privacy as well. Everything was first class and we highly recommend the pontoon boat as well.
We stayed at your beautiful home for an entire week. The weather was hit or miss but that was ok because we spent a couple of days just chilling watching movies and playing games and then a couple of days in Lake Geneva.
We would highly recommend staying at this property.
This property was amazing. I was a little confused about the setup at first. I didn't know three of the 8 bed rooms was separate from the main house but that still worked out great. Danny was very helpful and even gave great suggestions on places to hang out that would be most appropriate for the age group that was with, It was oldest sons 30th bday and we couldn't have selected a better place, I suggest to anyone looking for a perfect vrbo bnb pick this one!!
This is the third year of our camping crew doing a winter get away. We stayed in the same house for two years which was booked this year, so we found this house.... Exceeded expectations, now next year we have to make a decision. Great getaway!!!
18 people spent 7 days at the property. The view was spectacular, plenty of bedrooms, games available, great master bedroom. Only negatives small kitchenif you want to do extensvie cooking and not well insulated for winter. But all in all we really enjoyed it

Thanks for the input, we know the single oven is not the best for large family holiday meal cooking. Our home was built for year-round use, and we are often there in the winter. The winter activities (snowmobiling, ice fishing, and skiing nearby) are great. We have not had insulation/heating issues. The huge cathedral ceilings in the master bedroom can be a bit of a challenge when it is very cold. We should have shared that using the ceiling fans on low handles this well. So glad your overall experience was good. Hope you visit with us again.
This house was perfect for our large family holiday. Plenty of space for everyone to move around and be comfortable. The kids didn't really use the bunkroom as the gaming counsel was removed prior to our check-in but the ping pong table and dart board got a lot of use, even hosting a tournament! The bedroom layout worked great for the group. And while we weren't able to be outdoors, the views were phenomenal! Thank you for sharing your home.
We stayed in Delavan for a special occasion and found this property. Wow- all I can say is that I am glad I read all the amazing reviews it received and now here’s mine. I give it 5 stars, more things to do on and in the property than at home. I am looking forward to renting again in the spring/summer so we can partake in the outdoor amenities. Thank you so much for adding a home feel to our vacation away.
We had a wonderful week with 3 families. The house was well spread out and was very comfortable for all. The teens especially loved the bunk house above the garage. There was not a lot of extra space for boats, so we had to rent one most days and return it each night. More dock space would have been nice. The property manager was fantastic and easy to work with, communicate with and get in touch with. Lots of great food options nearby and we found Delavan to be a perfect lake for our needs.

Shawn, you will be happy to know big brand-new permanent dock put in during the spring. 2 new boat spaces now available.
Great views, house needs maintenance and deep cleaning.
The lake view and fire pit were great. The house needs maintenance, deep cleaning and interior paint job. The master bedroom toilet broke, the kitchen sink piping leaked, the hvac system did not work properly, the oven was filthy, all bathrooms have yellow water stains and the house overall is dirty. The requirement to wash, dry & fold all towels is difficult with only one washer and dryer. The proper manage was very responsive to all issues; he has a very tough job with the condition of this house.

Pat, we are completely shocked by your feedback. The conditions you report are completely unacceptable for our guests. We expect our lake house to be in pristine condition and 5-star experiences for all our guests. We have taken immediate actions to change our cleaning and maintenance services to ensure this never occurs again. Our new cleaning services remove any guest linen handling responsibility. Please reach out to me directly if you feel like there is anything else we can do to correct or compensate for your experience.
Wow, exceptional property, way more than we expected. Modern house and layout was so much better than our old lake cottage-kind of experiences in the past. Lake access with huge pier was great and easy because of the flat frontage. Master suite was huge with Ritz Carlton-like luxury. You didn’t mention the steam shower in your VRBO listing… we enjoyed it. We took advantage of all 3 fireplaces on the nights that got chilly. The best part- kids absolutely loved having their own space in the bunkroom. With the 2 video gaming areas and 3 TVs, there was plenty to keep a hoard of kids entertained while the adults relax. We now have no concern about bringing our older parents next time. We will be coming back as soon as we can with more friends and family because there was so much room. Thank you for sharing with us!
My family sprung for this location due to the beautiful pictures and the allowance of dogs. We have a senior yorkie whose days are limited and another senior mid size dog that has separation anxiety. This place was absolutely perfect for us to create lasting memories.
We used the downstairs fireplace once, which was great. We used the garage area a ton. Our 4 & 5 year olds loved playing ping pong. Not to mention the home being well appointed and comfortable in every way.
From prior rentals, there was some minor wear to the carpets, but that’s somewhat expected given the light color and rental usage.
All in all we really enjoyed the location and home. There is a family friendly bar/restaurant down the street that we will check out next time! This home is a wonderful place for a large family or multiple families. Thank you to the owners and managers for making our stay wonderful.
We totally enjoyed the home and the neighborhood. Most of the bedrooms were wonderful. We did agree that the 3 bedrooms above the garage are minimal (furniture and decor and air) It was quite stuffy and hot up there upon arrival until the next day when the air made it's way over. I know it's listed as the "kids area" but when you are looking for beds for a large number of women and see this home listed, we expected a bit more since we had to include these 3 bedrooms for our group. And we were disappointed that the entry for this area is in the garage without carpeted steps. This area also needed night stands and lamps by the beds.
Otherwise, there's enough kitchen supplies and towels and seating and bathrooms for 12 or more. We had a great time in the family room by the huge table, and spent some time on the upstairs deck. The 4 season room was a bit disappointing since it is so small and could not seat our group.
And thanks to the owners for the multitude of towels, that was wonderful!
Be sure to read your Check out list regarding washing these towels before departure. We have never seen this rule for washing towels before leaving and it is not an easy feat with morning showers and 1 washer. We assumed, as most rentals, this is covered under the cleaning fee.

Justine, thank you so much for the input. Our linen situation has been a challenge due to limitations of our cleaning service. We have decided to upgrade and no longer ask guests to handle any linen.
We can’t say enough good things about this home. It met every one of our needs, and then some! We only wish the weather was warmer and we could have enjoyed the outdoor area more! Danny, our host, was beyond helpful, and made the process easy with zero concerns. He was quick to respond to messages, and provided helpful suggestions along the way. We were so thankful to have that assistance. The house itself is beautiful inside and out. They’ve thought of everything you could possibly need. We had the ability to spread out, and never felt on top of each other. The view is spectacular, and the neighborhood felt so welcoming. There’s a couple of bars/lil corner stores within walking distance. The four season room on the ground floor was a HUGE hit! We had coffee in the mornings overlooking the water, meals, games and drinks the rest of the day in there. Even the garage was used, with a ping pong table set up in there! We can’t thank the owners enough, for allowing us the chance to enjoy their home, with our extended family, during our time there. We’ll certainly be back during warmer weather!
Perfect amount of space for our friends and family for our daughters wedding in Delavan WI. This VRBO is clean! Michael has been very professional to work with.
We had a family reunion at the Delevan Lake House. The accommodations were perfect for the family's needs, with a master bedroom to die for, a ground floor bedroom for our elderly parents, an annex area through a separate garage entrance where the older kids all slept, and a downstairs wing for a family unit with younger children. The lake view is beautiful and we enjoyed the outdoor areas when the weather permitted. The house was clean and the manager and owner were attentive and accommodating. We will be back!
We had an amazing time at the house. This was our second time staying here and it never disappoints! The kitchen and home are well appointed with anything you might need. Ping pong table in the garage with spectator chairs was a big hit again! The lake views are amazing from the comfortable seating area with a fire table for cool nights. All in all a great time was had by everyone. Chris the house manager was friendly and responsive. Great home! Highly recommend!

Why this location: If you are a lake lover, let us begin by sharing our lake standards, see https://www.lakewinnipesaukee.net/ This beautiful lake is featured in the movies "On Golden Pond" and "What About Bob" and sadly is without equal in the Midwest. We are transplants from Lake Winnipesaukee New Hampshire to the Midwest and yes, lake snobs. We have been searching for years to find the right place to give our friends and family the lake experience we grew up with and we finally arrived on Lake Delavan. Unfortunately we can't be there all the time, so we decided to share our new lake home with other families hungry for the same experience. We genuinely hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
First, the lake itself. We have found Lake Delavan to be the perfect balance between Lake Geneva (too stuck up and dangerously busy on the weekends) and the much smaller lakes in the area (Lauderdales, Beulah, Whitewater, etc.). Although somewhat smaller than Geneva, Delavan is plenty of lake for all the boating and watersports fun we need without the insane boat traffic. Delavan's water quality and size is superior to the smaller lakes in the area. Second, the house. In our lake home search we ran into a broad range of old and cramped converted cottages. Ancient bases, low ceilings, and endless and poorly designed additions were a big turnoff. Built in 2003, this house has a modern and smart design that maximizes lake views and sleeping and entertaining spaces. It is very efficient, easy, and relaxing to be in. Third, the experience. Growing up on a lake gave us a deep appreciation for lake living. Jumping and swimming in the lake. Floating for hours on the tubes and air mattresses. Badminton, croquet, frisbee, water balloon and squirt gun fights on the front lawn. Fishing with our dads and friends. Tearing around on the jetskis and boats. Forth of July with fireworks. Wandering along the lake front and making new friends. Long evening cruises. Parties with campfires by the water. If this is the experience you are looking for, its all right here with certification from lake snobs.
