Amazing property in fabulous neighborhood lots to walk to!Tambo the host was very accommodating and even purchased a toaster for the house for me while there!Highly recommend
Note the signs for street cleaning days before parking; we had no issue there. The address that popped up on the Maps site the day before was for the VRBO across the street, but Tambor got us straightened out. You may just want to check the address when you message ahead of time. The apartment is clean and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay.
Helpful host. I didn’t really like the city much but it wasn’t because of the apartment.

1st time using vrbo
Be aware of the parking policies if you are taking/using a car-just get clarity on the days and how long you can park from the host. This was our first time ever using a vrbo and it was definitely a learning experience-it is not like a hotel where you can talk to someone immediately and get help.
My wife and I had a great time while on our vacation. The main concern was that parking was a bit of an issue, but manageable, but definitely research parking signs, etc. for D.C. Great price for the stay though.

Place was clean and pretty quiet. Never needed anything other to ask about parking but the host was super helpful and quick with a response. We stayed through a Wednesday and street cleaning happens on Wednesdays so that was definitely good to know. Just sure wherever you park, read the parking signs. Thanks again for having us and helping to keep our vacation special.
This was a a great place to stay while we were on vacation, i loved it!
The listing was clean and in a good location, it had everything you could need for a stay!
Thank you to our lovely host who made everything a breeze!
The host made sure to go out of his way, to make sure we had everything we needed. Great location, very easy check in/out.
Would stay here again.

I can’t recommend this stay enough. Affordable, close parking (street) excellent host (always available and ready to help). I lost my parking pass and within an hour he had another one for me without the slightest issue.
It’s a basement unit but clean with a TV and very comfortable bed. Towels, kitchenette, the whole 9 yards. We went two adults two kids under three, no problem.
Would go back no question.
We loved this cozy little house in the heart of DC. Less than 2 miles from all the historic sites. Home is just a described. Tamba is an excellent host. Will definitely be back soon.
My husband and I stayed here during our trip to DC as a part of our honeymoon. The communication with the host was great, the rental is as shown in the photos, and the location is perfect for seeing the city. Our host even left a beautiful orchid in our room as a wedding gift (thank you, again)! The place is easy to find from the street and we had no issues with parking. We will definitely stay here again when we visit DC.
Convenient to my son's house, had what we needed - working heater, comfy beds (1Q, 1 couch), responsive host. We didn’t cook but could have, it's stocked. The coffeemaker, microwave, toaster all work. Only downside was low water pressure in the shower. I'd stay again when I visit my son!
The property was just as advertised and the host is a super nice guy. Was just what we needed for our stay in DC. Bus stop just a few minutes walk and made our trip into the Capitol area very easy. A little longer walk is the Metro...or you can take the bus and transfer at Union station. We took the Metro to the Zoo with ease. Would definitely recommend this property.
Wonderful and responsive host. Was exactly as stated! Make sure to read the parking restrictions as the days of the sweeper are posted, but we did not see them. Walked to the Capitol Mall on a nice fall day. With food and grocery delivery you can enjoy and relax!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this location. My host, Tamba was very responsive and accommodating. The location is close to the Capitol (the center of DC), so for me as a walker, I walked everyday to the city sites I wanted to visit. The location is a short walk to the Metro, which was also very convenient
The accommodations were very comfortable and cozy, and I felt very safe in the rental and the neighborhood.
I plan to return to DC in the new year, and plan to stay at Tamba's rental property again.
The walkup to the entrance was not clean. Wrappers and trash by the front door. On entering the apartment it was very nice. We needed more towels and they were sent down right away. Everything worked well and it was very comfortable. The bike rental was just a few feet away. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Clean, spacious, comfortable and owners are very responsive. Things that would make it excellent: working higher wattage microwave, shower caddy for soap, shampoo etc, working clock. Most of all, if entry was painted n cleaned it would greatly improve first impression. The darkness and dirt and trash at the entrance belied the great interior, was off putting n actually scary. Interior was great, spacious n comfy. Owners were responsive
My adult child and I stayed here for a few days recently. The property was clean and cozy. We had no difficulty with finding on the street parking and had a parking permit ready for us upon arrival. Of note, we stayed on a Sat - Tues and were unaffected by street sweeping days.
The kitchen had enough cookware for our needs, we did use the oven, a frying pan, the microwave, and the coffeemaker (a lot!). There are several local restaurants available as well.
The bed was very comfortable. The futon was adequate although my teenager complained that it was hard (it is a futon, this is rather expected).
The shower was very nice even if it is a bit small. The kitchen also is very tight but again, this is an expectation in an area where space is at an extreme premium.
The owner was quick to respond to questions that I had during our stay and the check in and out process was extremely easy.
I stayed here for one night as an alternative to a hotel due to its proximity to CUA. Property was as described. It was clean and welcoming. Toughest thing was parking. Apartment is on a short one way street with limited parking. I had to circle the block multiple times before settling for a spot a couple of minute walk away. Not the owner's fault, but something to be aware of if you stay.
