Our stay in DC was perfect. This rental is exactly what we needed! Very close to train station for easy travel to anywhere we needed to go. Great food close by and we felt totally safe. Rental was clean and easy to access by following instructions provided.
this is a beautiful spot, a hidden gem, that is perfect for a solo trip or couple. the bed is so comfortable, the shower is perfect, the kitchen is equipped. id highly recommend
Very clean, well equipped. Comfortable bed and pillows. Great location for Capitol district. All types of places to eat and get groceries nearby. Host was great! Parking is not so great. Biggest minus for us (we are senior citizens) was that we didn’t feel safe walking in the evening.
Clean, quiet convenient stay while in DC. Close to metro lines and down to the national mall in 10 minutes! Some good neighborhood eats, bars, coffee shops and more within walking distant, and we walked over to the National Zoo during our stay!
We loved our stay. The entrance to the unit is down beneath the row home and looked a little sketchy at first, but it really was great! The location has everything, and we felt very safe and comfortable. Me and my teenage son stayed. The location is a quarter mile to the closest Metro station, too. The owner was very responsive and accommodating!
Culturally diverse area with international cuisine options & metro straight to city centre all within a short walk.
Home was lovely, clean and well equipped with everything required for our stay.
Host friendly & responsive.
We were very delighted with this experience and stay. We bought a 3 day metro (smartrip) pass and took the green belt to most places. There’s a children’s playground and cute pizza place off Monroe Street. The place was clean and perfect for our little family. Parking is sparse but fine and navigable. Definitely recommend Amanda’s place and will use in the future.
We enjoyed our August stay in this studio apartment.
When we arrived the unit was much too cool. A quick text with the manager had the issue fixed within minutes.
Although we didn't do any cooking, the availability of coffee provided the needed jump start to each day.
The unit was as described and provided us a comfortable stay in the city.
Cute place not too far outside the city. We were able to walk about 2 blocks to the subway and pass a grocery store and target on the way. There was a parking garage about 2 blocks away as well. Amanda was very communicative and the place was clean. The backyard did not look like the picture at the time of our stay but the weather wasn't the best to hang outside, so that was fine by us. We used an air mattress for our family of 4 and it was cozy but comfortable!
I had a wonderful weekend stay at this property! The apartment was spacious and exactly as pictured. The location was excellent—safe, and I had no trouble finding street parking right outside. The host was very communicative and helpful.
If anyone is wondering, the couch is very comfortable to sleep on! There were plenty of extra linens and pillows neatly stored in a closet. The abundance of towels provided was also much appreciated. Having a washer and dryer in the apartment was a great amenity that made our stay even more comfortable.
Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located apartment in DC!

Great location but…
The location is great, the place is clean, but here are a few things that could us improving:
No kitchen towels, no kettle, pur filter barely drains
Curtains don’t feel private
No instruction book onsite or online
No recycling

Hi Jodie, thank you for your review and thank you for the suggestions for improvement. The kitchen towels are usually left on top of the microwave but it sounds like they did not get left out and were probably in the closet.
A good value with lots of amenities, if you're not a light sleeper
The studio is as pictured, clean and bright. But you have to like the neighborhood of Columbia Heights (and going down into the basement floor). I did like the neighborhood for all the ethnic foods readily available and bus and metro within a 1-5 minute walk. What is not mentioned is the cat that has a pouncing chasing routine in the middle of the night right on the wooden floor above the bed. If that noise does not wake you, this will be a good place to stay. Also, an eye shield would be very helpful since the street lights do pour into the bed area.
Overall, this is a good place to stay if you are looking to explore DC. A metro stop is conveniently located a few blocks away, the location is close to some great food spots and grocery stores. The area is a melting pot of cultures.
The temperature inside the house was hot as we arrived, and we asked our host to lower the temperature to find out the AC was not working. Our host offered to relocate us, however, we had already been settled in and we did have a fan on hand to help but it was still pretty hot at night. The mosquitos were also an issue, leaving us covered in bites.
Our host did give us a discount for the broken AC, which was generous and was willing to work with her guests.
