Big Buck Lodge- Screened Porch | Fire Pit | Aska Adventure Area
Like other North Georgia cabin rentals, Big Buck Lodge is a charming mountain chalet in a lovely wooded setting. But what sets this tri-level vacation home apart from the others are the unique, one of a kind touches you won't find anywhere else. Built by local craftsman Jerry Sisson of Jerry's Mountain Furniture for his daughter, it's made of handcrafted wood floor-to-ceiling and throughout the house, with unique log beds and branch chairs and tables in every room.
Each of the three bedrooms is outfitted with a queen bed topped with a cozy quilt and a screened-in deck or balcony. The master bedroom has a private bath with walk-in shower; the other two have adjacent bathrooms with tub and shower combo. There are 32" flat screen TVs in the main level and master bedrooms, plus a 40" flat screen in the family room and a 60" flat screen in the game room, where you'll also find billiards, Foosball and board games to entertain you.
The kitchen is a mix of modern and rustic, with stainless steel appliances, handmade cabinets, granite countertops, electric oven, and conveniences like icemaker, crockpot and drip coffeemaker. The dining table seats four, and there's room for two on bar stools at the kitchen island. Or, fire up the gas grill for a barbecue that you can enjoy on the main level covered screened-in deck picnic table. There's plenty of seating on the lower screened-in porch, including rocking chairs and a swing. Afterward, you can have a relaxing soak in the hot tub, or toast marshmallows over the fire pit while you enjoy the evening breeze.
Of course, you'll want to explore the Aska Adventure Area that surrounds the property, and there are plenty of fun options to choose from. It's just a stone's throw from the Toccoa River and Noontootla Creek for fishing, tubing, canoeing, kayaking and nearby Aska Farms. It's also close to Mercier Orchards, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, Long Creek Falls, and 14.5 miles from Downtown Blue Ridge and its bars, restaurants, shops and the Swan drive-in theater, one of only four outdoor movie venues in Georgia.
Big Buck Lodge's ambience is its best attribute. Its seasonal glorious views of mountain sunrises and sunsets, serene natural setting and the relaxed and happy way you'll feel while you're there make for an unforgettable getaway.

Beautiful home with so much detail in all the decorations that truly make you feel like like you took a step back in time but with allThe amenities to be comfortable, the boys loved the game room & me an my husband enjoyed they had plenty to do and not get bored! We were looking for a private, relaxing & calming vibe. That’s exactly what we got! The home was clean and we had everything needed to enjoy it.

Thank you for staying with us at Big Buck Lodge and for sharing your review. Thank you for your sharing your photos with us showing your boys playing pool and having a great time. We look forward to welcoming you back again in the near future.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was quiet and located on a nice wooded lot. The screened in porches were wonderful to sit on and relax. We loved the pool table and the hot tub. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans and utensils.
The bed in the basement/game room was not very comfortable and is possibly in need of a new mattress. Everything else was in good condition. Great cabin.

Thank you for staying with us at Big Buck Lodge! We are so glad you enjoyed your retreat in the mountains. We appreciate your feedback regarding the mattress in the game room and will report this to the property manager. We hope to host you again soon!
The overall stay was good. We were there the week before christmas and were a little disappointed that there were no Christmas decorations or no Christmas tree up. We wanted the Christmasssy feel while we were on vacation. There were a couple of nails that had worked their way up out of the floor and my husband had to hammer them back down because he stepped on one of them. The cabin was nice and away from pretty much everything. The road to the cabin is very, very narrow and hard to meet other vehicles.

This home is lovely. The home has lots of details. My family and I stayed for a week. We really loved all the screened in porches. The floors ALL creek, no being quite at all in this house. No matter what floor you are on you can hear people on the floor above and below you anytime someone walks. In the picture the downstairs has an L shaped couch, that is no longer there, it is now a couch and a love seat. The upstairs balcony is the master bedroom, with NO privacy here at all. The bed on this floor was horrible, all the other beds were great. This bed makes you roll to the middle, our backs hurt every morning. The steps on any of the floors are not meant for any elderly. They are extremely steep. The driveway into the property could use some work. The home is not very private, homes all around it, and people moving around all the time. I had an issue with a personal item that I left behind, it was completely my fault. An employee of Escape to Blue Ridge - Richard C. was of GREAT HELP to me. No big issues, lovely place - we would definitely stay here again.

Clean cabin, nice getaway
Very clean cabin, however the mattresses are very worn. Nice cabin, nice wooded lot, but no Mountian views of that is what you’re after. Had a great time, but not sure I’d pick this cabin again. Rental company was good, did not have any issues while there.

I’m sitting here on my back patio taking in one last breath of this oasis. I’m not sure if me or my six year old twins are more sad to leave. We’ll be back!
