Charming, Log Cabin - a great summer getaway on the beautiful Spider Lake chain

Summer is a great time to visit Windsong. Windsong is a classic, vintage, log cabin with all the comforts of home. Nestled among towering white and red pines, the cabin is approximately 2400 square feet and sits just 25 feet from the shore of beautiful Big Spider Lake. The main level of the cabin has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The main living area boasts a fieldstone fireplace, a large dining area, and plenty of room for relaxing. The lower level offers additional sleeping along with an entertainment area that includes another TV, DVD, darts, ping pong, and many other board games - a perfect spot for the kids to hang out! The cabin is fully equipped with Wi-Fi and satellite TV. A classic boathouse sits on 200 feet of shoreline and offers a deck complete with firepit and western views over the lake - the sunsets are amazing! Spider Lake, just NE of Hayward, Wisconsin, is 1600 acres and comprised of five interconnected lakes. It is a fully recreational lake known for its excellent fishing, swimming, and beautiful scenery. Located just 15 miles from downtown Hayward, the cabin offers both privacy and convenience. There are several nice supper clubs and restaurants in the area. A perfect place to hike, bike, kayak, fish or just relax with a glass of wine in front of the fieldstone fireplace!

This is a wonderful place. The cabin and property are beautiful and well maintained. It was also very clean. It is located on one of the best parts of the Spider Lake Chain. And the sunsets are amazing from the deck. Owners were terrific. Highly recommend!

Relaxing weekend

We had a great time staying for a long weekend, the fire place was a nice romantic northern Wisconsin feel! Ice fishing was great as well. We both agreed to stay here again.

Fabulous place to stay

Had a wonderful time with family. Cabin is beautiful and on the lake. Very clean and has several perks such as ping pong, washer and dryer, dish washer etc. Saw a black bear during our stay. Caught a lot of fish including bass, northern, perch, pan fish and pike

We had a great stay. Place is very clean. Other than a hiccup with a boiler pilot light, the stay was very pleasant. First time on Spider Lake. Very nice lake.

From watching the endless activity of hummingbirds outside the kitchen window to admiring spectacular sunsets, this cabin exceeds expectations. The decor is perfect and the cleanliness superb. I highly recommend it.

Cozy cabin on Spider Lake

We loved the location and the view. Beautiful sunsets. The cabin is very comfortable, clean and well appointed. Nice updated kitchen and bathrooms. We enjoyed the fireplace on cool mornings and evenings. More space downstairs to spread out and play ping pong, do a puzzle, watch movies. Plenty of room for 5 adults. The lake is peaceful and lends itself to kayaking and swimming. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Ideal Spot

We really enjoyed the deck atop the boathouse, the swimmable water, newer appliances, and overall cleanliness/condition of the cabin. Well located for accessing CAMBA bike trails and Lost Land Lake Lodge fish fry, among other things. Owners were responsive and pleasant to deal with. A legit 5 star experience.

Spider Lake Gem

A classic Northwoods cabin. Great decorations go right along with the log cabin. The deck overlooking the lake is fantastic Cleanliness of the house was spotless and our hosts answered all of our questions and took care of all of our needs. We use the wood-burning fireplace every evening and the hosts even left us a special surprise – makings for s’mores.

Great cabin, great lake!

Super clean, comfortable cabin on beautiful forested lot. Spider Lake is wonderful for pontoon cruising and cabin ogling. We didn’t have any luck fishing but it’s too early to expect that. All three bedrooms have comfortable beds, we did not end up using any of the finished space in the basement, but it would be good overflow space for guests or kids. The fridge was completely empty, which we really appreciate, and there are minimal spice/oil supplies etc so just bring what you need. (Tons of cooking and bake ware on hand) All of our questions were answered quickly and this VRBO has the least amount of checkout tasks of any stay we’ve had. Enjoy!

Beautiful Vintage Cottage on The Lake

Truly a lovely vintage cabin. Loads of room...great beds. Well stocked in the kitchen. Beautiful view. Deck, chairs, and firepit were perfect. Lots of steps to the deck and dock. And a bit difficult to tie up a boat

Nice Week on Spider lake

The Boat house deck is the place to be. Perfect spot for the sunset or just sitting around looking at the lake. We brought our boat to fish, wake board, and tube. The lake has specific hours for it but those rules I think keep the lake quiet relatively. It seems the loons like the rules too. You hear them consistently throughout the day. There are more loons on this lake than I have seen around the area.
