Beautiful stay. We really enjoyed our time. We had 6 adults and 3 children. There was plenty of room for all of us. Everything was really clean. Short walk to the beach made it easy for the kids. No complaints.

Great Family Get Away

Stayed here with my Wife's family, we were comfortable, great location next to the beach. Really enjoyed the screen porch, listening to the rain fall.

One week in Duck

Had a great time staying here - a very quick walk to the beach, not too far from amenities. Lots of beach gear in great shape, stocked kitchen, quiet at night. We could not have asked for more!

Great vacation house

This house was a great vacation spot for our family of 6 adults and 2 young children. The highlights were the large open living space, well equipped kitchen, screened in porch and several other porches. There was plenty of beach equipment. The outdoor shower was large and a great addition. One of the best aspects of the house was location. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet, The house was close to the beach path. Also close to Duck and not too far from most anything you could want. The host were friendly and responsive.

Awesome location… description was spot on.

Overall stay was great. We would definitely recommend this property, however it should be noted that the spiral staircase to access the main kitchen/livingroom area was a little challenging.

Lovely home

We had a wonderful week! House was impeccably clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners were incredibly responsive too. A great location with a quick walk to the beach - we will definitely be back!

Perfect beach location

This house was the perfect location! Just a short walk to the beach so going back and forth was easy! The living area of the house was perfect for family time. The decks and porches were lovely as well.

Wonderful beach vacation

We had a great vacation at this house. It was beautifully decorated and everything was accurate to the listing. The house is in a great spot where you can see the sunrise and the sunset. We would definitely go back to this home.

Spring Break in the Outer Banks

We loved our stay at Pineapple by the Sea! We loved the community and being steps away from the beach! This house was perfect for our party of 5 adults and 3 teenagers, incredibly spacious and equipped with every thing imaginable! We look forward to renting here again in the future!

Great property!

This property was absolutely perfect for us! It is about a 2 minute walk to the private community beach, which was perfect because it never got too crowded. Also, just a short drive to the shops in duck, or the other way to Corolla. We loved the location and would definitely consider booking this again!

Summer Stay in Duck

We enjoyed our stay at Writers Refuge the second week of August. The walk to the beach was very quick and easy. The house was fine for relaxing after busy days outside and everyone found their private space comfortable.

Favorite spot in Duck

This is my family’s second time renting this house and you can’t beat the location or the beautiful home. My husband loves surf fishing and the beach in walking distance to the house has amazing fishing and a beautiful clean beach.
