This 5 bedroom century home with newly renovated bathrooms and workspace is located in Wahmeda, a small community directly adjacent to the Chautauqua Institution. Guests can enjoy family time on the lakefront wrap-around porch with a large lawn, rolling down to our shared dock, and also take advantage of the proximity of CHQ Institution with its summer lectures, concerts and programs and fall events and foliage. A perfect. getaway to enjoy the lake and all Chautauqua has to offer. Sleeps 10 persons. Booking is subject to owner confirmation and availability of Housekeeping.

100-year-old house steps from the water. Quiet neighborhood; great porch; literally right next to Chautauqua Institution; terrific space for families with lots of single beds; nice master suite on first floor; we would go back to this property.

Wonderful historic Chautauqua home
The location of this beautiful historic home is as perfect as you can get on Chautauqua Lake, with a spacious wrap around porch, and views up the the north end of the Lake with cooling breezes. The owners use it as their own so it is very well equipped with everything you need. Despite the 100+ years age of the home, it has been updated where needed including renovated bathrooms, but with cozy retro historic touches remaining. It is outside the Chautauqua Institution grounds, but the property sits right on the fence and a short walk takes you right into the Elm Gate of the grounds. We hope to come back again soon!

Such a great time at this house. It has a beautiful yard right on the water with a wraparound porch. Also, if is literally right next door to the Institution.
