Crooklets Reach walk to the Beach, Free Use of Private Beach Hut at the Sea Pool

'Crooklets Reach' is a detached 3 bedroom bungalow in the Flexbury area of Bude. Ideally located within a 10 minute stroll to the beaches and coastal path with a similar walk to the shops, bars and restaurants. The free use of a Private Beach Hut at the Bude Seapool is included.

The accommodation is all on one level and is very suitable for young children; with a good sized, fully enclosed and secluded rear garden, child friendly and largely laid to lawn with a patio area. There is a double width driveway with parking for 2 cars. The large entrance porch has plenty of space for coats and shoes etc.

Linen and towels are provided; We do request that guests supply their own Beach/Swimming towels.

Saturday changeover.

The property has gas central heating and in addition an electric wall fire in the lounge. The road is quiet with minimal traffic and the property is very accessable for young and older guests alike.

The living room is open plan into the kitchen and dining area, allowing all the guests to be together throughout your stay.
In addition to the central heating, the electric fire provides a cosy feel to cooler evenings.

There is a SMART TV, complete with DVD player. There is also a HDMI lead ready should you wish to plug in a digital streaming device or similar.

The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, freezer, washing machine, fridge, microwave, electric halogen hob and electric oven. There is also a tumble dryer for guest use.

The master double bedroom with en-suite shower room has a fresh interior and plenty of storage, this room is perfect for your relaxing holiday break. The en suite shower room can also be accessed from the hallway giving an extra toilet/shower.

The spacious twin room has two full sized single beds, there is also plenty of storage with a large wardrobe and drawers, allowing you to fully unpack.

Inside bedroom 3 there is a full size bunk bed. This bedroom is recommended for children or younger adults; storage is available in a chest of drawers.

All bedrooms are newly carpeted.

A high chair, travel cot and a childs safety (Lindham) bed rail are provided free of charge. The bed rail is provided for use in a single bed or the lower bunk bed.

Most rooms have USB charging points for your use. Free WiFi High speed Internet access is provided.

Both bathrooms have heated towel rails. Bathroom 2 is en suite with the main bedroom or via a door from the hallway for general use.

The property is always professionally cleaned between holiday lets. Fresh linen and towels are included but we do request that you supply your own swimming/beach towels. In the case of stays of more than one week please discuss your requirements regarding a change of linen/towels or a mid-stay clean. We do not provide linen for the travel cot.

Rental is inclusive of all Gas, Electric and Internet charges. There are no additional charges for highchair or travel cot.

Homely bungalow in great location

The bungalow was exactly as described. It was really homely and very well equipped. It’s in a great location and you can get to the beach and town in a 10 minute walk. The Bude beaches are lovely and having the beach hut was a real bonus. Our family used it most days. After a busy day body boarding or exploring the area, it was a lovely to know that you were heading back to a really comfortable holiday home. We would really recommend it and would certainly go back.

Crooklets Reach

We had a lovely two weeks staying at Crooklets Reach. The house is comfortable and in an excellent location, you can easily walk into Bude town center or the beaches withing 10 mins. The house has everything you need to stay with children too. The garden was our favorite part with a beautifully constructed cornish slate wall, a grassy area and several seatine options including a place to dine outside.

Lovely bungalow, from the minute you open the door you are met with a spotless, comfortable well laid out space which has everything you could possibly want and more! Attention to detail from the welcome pack providing an abundance of practical and local information to the lovely cream tea which was left for our arrival. The garden is a peaceful oasis and provided us with a great space to relax after a busy day exploring. We used the beach hut every day which was brilliant and as with the house was well thought out and wonderfully equipped. Everything in Bude was within walking distance and we spent each night walking to the beach to watch the sunset set....Perfect thank you

Well presented cottage in a great location near to golf course, town and beach

We had a great stay in this perfectly located cottage. It is in a neat and very quiet close that is walkable to the town of Bude and its beaches. It was very nice to have some scones and cream on arrival as well as some basics such as milk, tea etc The cottage was very clean and modern and had everything we needed for the week we were there - for 4 adults. The use of the garden with a lovely seating area was a bonus. Communication with the owners was perfect both before and after the holiday All rooms, eg showers and kitchen were exceptionally clean, fully equipped with easily useable fittings and fixtures The bedrooms were adequate for two people each with plenty of storage Overall would not hesitate to return!

Faultless holiday

This was our first family holiday in Bude and we had an amazing seven days staying in Den's bungalow; being able to return to each it day truly made the week more relaxing and enjoyable. The standard of cleanliness could not be improved upon, the layout is spacious and allows for various family members to break off from one another when wished for. It's a very peaceful area and we all slept soundly each night. Access to the beach and town is easy - we had no real need to use the car all week. And Den was a great communicator and always accessible if needed. We would not hesitate to return and are already discussing when to do so. Definitely one of the best holidays we have experienced as a family.

This lovely, private bungalow is in a very peaceful cul de sac location. It was very clean and had everything we needed. In just a 12 mins walk, we were on the beach. We were appreciative of the beach hut. We really enjoyed our week and would happily go there again.

An excellent week. All as described, and having the use of the beach hut above the (delightful) sea pool was really convenient. We have a great week away in Bude, the bungalow was perfect for our needs and in a great location about 10-15 minute walk to the beach and the same into town, with a big Sainsburys about a 10 minute walk away. The property was really clean and well equipped and the communication from booking until our stay was really good. The garden was really nice (we only wish we could’ve spent more time out there if the weather had been a bit better!) and the beach hut was an added bonus as it’s right about the sea pool so couldn’t be in a better location. The property owners also left us some recommendations of local walks/places to eat which was appreciated! We’d definitely recommend The Plaice fish and chips (but phone ahead to order and then just collect as it was really busy). We’d also recommend Widemouth Manor at Widemouth Bay for dinner, the views are lovely, the food and service was great! All in all, thank you so much for such a great property! We had a great time and really liked Bude.

Excellent property. Very spacious and clean. Great location within 10 minutes walk to the Bude beaches. Great garden with sun trap at the top. Icing on the cake is the beach hut that comes with the property which is handily located above the Bude saltwater swimming pool. First time in Bude but won’t be the last.

A great accommodation in Bude

We have been using holiday rentals for several years now and this was one of the best. The owners clearly put a great deal of effort and care into its presentation. It was a great to arrive after a long drive and find it so clean and welcoming. The garden was great and very well maintained with plenty of seating across different parts for shade if needed. It was very well situated with easy walks to the beaches and town centre. We walked to the local Sainsbury’s on a couple of occasions rather than take the car not that we found parking there an issue at all. The beaches in Bude are great. Soft sands, loads of little rock pools and puddles of sea water for very young kids to play in and they also have a big Sea Pool for something different. There was also a Beach Hut with the accommodation located directly above the Sea Pool which we used mainly for getting changed but useful to store your beach stuff there to save carrying it down each visit. The accommodation was well equipped with everything you could need in the Kitchen and for Laundry and Ironing etc, etc. All in all, we had a great holiday and would definitely go back to Bude and definitely re-visit this accommodation.

Pleasant holiday bungalow close to Bude

Very clean, well equipped and tastefully furnished bungalow - everything we needed for a week’s stay. Quiet neighbourhood with an easy stroll into Bude or to the beaches. The beach house by the sea pool was an added bonus. Easy communication with owners. There are some pleasant touches - scones, jam and cream on arrival, plenty of fluffy towels, kitchen essentials, local information leaflets, enough chairs to sit in the garden, hose pipe to wash down wetsuits with outside racking to enable them to dry.

Fantastic Accommodation and location

Very well equipped bungalow with lovely living space for our family holiday including a safe enclosed garden for our toddler to play in . The beds were comfy and power shower good and the kitchen was filled with all the equipment you would need and more. The inclusion of a beach hut overlooking the outdoor sea pool was an added bonus which was also equipped with a kettle, chairs and somewhere to store wetsuits, etc. The location of the bungalow was so convenient for a gentle stroll to the beach or into town that we hardly used the car all week . And of course not forgetting the cream tea on arrival which set the tone for a very relaxed and comfortable stay in beautiful Bude. The owners have definitely put a lot of thought and investment into making this holiday home a joy to stay in and we look forward to booking again in the near future.

Immaculate holiday bungalow in great location

We felt immediately at home on arrival, and were delighted to see a cream tea waiting for us! I don't think we've ever stayed in a holiday property that was so well presented and equipped and being all on one level was perfect for us as one of our party has limited mobility. Were staying in a somewhat stormy week and we enjoyed sitting in the beach hut with a picnic and viewing the spectacular seas. Perfect location, being walking distance to town, beaches and golf! Owners couldn't have been more helpful. Would certainly return.

Beach hut - icing on the cake

A perfect holiday destination combined with a flawless bungalow with everything one could need, from crockery to tumble dryer. For us, the beach hut was definitely well worth booking the bungalow for. It provided the family with a sea front base if you like, somewhere to offload beach stuff, sit and have a snack and a drink without sand getting everywhere, somewhere to relax and enjoy ourselves. The owners were so lovely throughout, with nothing too much trouble. They bent over backwards to provide us with up to date information, and their communication was second to none. We would highly recommend Crooklet's Reach, and hope to return in the not too distant future. Thank you Den and Carole.

Home from home and a bit more

We have been coming to bude for 8 years now and have never stopped in such a wonderful place,from the minute we arrived to the last day it just felt so homely.Everything was perfect,so clean and comfortable the kids loved the garden,we all enjoyed the luxury of the beach hut, sat having hot drinks and snacks while the weather improved.Den and Carole the owners were brilliant anything we needed to know they answered and kept us updated with information leading up to our holiday.We will without doubt be returning in the near future.

What makes this property unique

The bungalow is ideally located in a quiet cul de sac with a private and child friendly garden that backs onto the Crooklets River, via a locked access gate. As Bude is a popular holiday destination, it is very convenient to have ample off road parking and be close enough to walk to the local beaches without the need to use a carpark expecially in the high season.

The Beach Hut has drink making facilities and is very useful whether swimming at the Sea Pool or using the facility to change and dry off after spending a day on the beach. It is very handy for storing buckets and spades, crab nets etc. reducing the need to carry quite so much to and from the beach. A windbreak and chairs are provided in the Beach Hut.
