Wonderful Thanksgiving in North Myrtle Beach

We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving stay in North Myrtle Beach. The location was excellent and the unit was very comfortable. The property management team was very helpful. Overall, an excellent stay that we will consider for return visits to the area.

A Vacation Gem

The unit served our group of 7 adults well. The unit is plenty large enough . The living room and dining area had ample seating for all guests. The location to the beach is great. The pool is small, but enough for a refresh from the heat.

FAMILY ESCAPE

After much debating and budgeting, we chose this location for our bi-annual family vacation and it was spot on. The location from the beach, shopping and size of the space was what we needed. We had more than a enough room for our entire family. When we got there, the TV was not working properly. However, once we called management, they fixed it in no time. From parking to the huge, family friendly kitchen and modest size bedrooms, we truly enjoyed this location and are thankful for the hospitality the management team showed us.

North Myrtle Family Getaway 2022

The property was just as pictured. The arcade game was a hit with all ages! The communication with the property manager was great! I had an issue and it was resolved within an hour. I had a few family members with asthma and they brought an air purifier to help. I would definitely recommend this property and will be staying here again in the future.

The best part of our vacation was being all together! While we had a lovely time, I was not happy with the uncleanliness of the unit. We swept and vacuumed before we unpacked. I don't think that floor had been mopped at all. The ceiling fans had dust one half inch thick and there were items left under the couches and chairs.

We always want to thank our guest about feedback they share. Unfortunately, sometimes comments are a little disheartening because they are unfounded or unconfirmed. Our goal is to always exceed our guest expectations, however, we understand that sometimes that does not occur. In reviewing this reservation in it’s entirety, there were only two times that the guest communicated with our office. First, confirming receipt of the door code on the day of check-in and second, to notify our office of departure on the day of check-out. We did not have any reports of housekeeping concerns. We do have full-time staff that are more than willing to address any concern and resolve any issue. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback.

Great Location - Very spacious

My group of 12 of went down for a long weekend and had a lot of fun staying here. The condo is very spacious with 6 rooms and 8 beds. Great location with the pier and beach access right across the street. John from the property management company was extremely responsive, even after hours when we had a question about parking. There was a small issue with one of the bedrooms and he showed up within the hour to fix it for us. You are only allowed 3 parking passes so if you have more than 3 vehicles I would suggest making other arrangements because the overflow lot fills fast! But still wasn't an issue. All in all, a great place to stay - 5 stars

Great for our family vacation, 11 people from grandparents to toddler.

The condo was big and comfortable, and very clean as described. Our 5 grandchildren were thrilled the beach was a few steps away. The kitchen was well equipped with Keurig & drip style coffee makers, a grill appliance, even a crockpot. When a shower head cracked we advised Rental Leaf through their guest portal and Gloria had maintenance arrive and replace it quickly. Our family said it was the best vacation ever. One tip: the towels provided are ok for showering etc, and you will be doing laundry all the time. Bring extra towels of your own if you can. We only got 1 dish towel. As we drove toNorth Myrtle Beach I brought extra bath towels along with laundry supplies.

Pretty Good

Property was well maintained. Cleaner than it looked in the pictures or other reviews that I read. Showers could use a little work. One only sent half the water from the tub spout to the shower head, (could be a new problem, I know how the water down there can tear up fixtures, but an easy fix that needs to be taken care of) and another really needs to be cleaned around the shower door. But over all felt pretty comfortable and I'm picky about cleanliness. Oh, and really needs a new coffee maker.

Looks nice, not much more....

Walking in, the rooms are nicely decorated. Lots of room, lots of dishes. Then after a day or two you realize how dirty the place is. Really needs a deep clening. There was shorts behind dressers, empty bottles under couches...but what was the worst was the 'PALMETTO' bugs, otherwise know as roaches. I texted the management company and the response was super fast, but to be only told - those aren't roaches, they are palmetto bugs common to this area...REALLY??? Then all we did was worry we might bring one home. There were many light bulbs out up in bathrooms. The water in the fridge does not work. Too many things to mention. Would have been nice but not kept up well, just cleaned on the surface. Disappointing. Would not visist again.

Our goal is to exceed our guests expectations, however there are a few times that this does not happen. However we never speak negative about a guest, we do like to factually respond to a guests review. It is very disappointing that the first we hear of items of opportunities is on a review page, especially when our staff is on property EVERYDAY and could have solved any issue very quickly. In regards to item left behind the dresser, we will discuss with housekeeping because heavy items are not usually moved by housekeeping staff, however we will have corrective action in place going forward.(thank you for making us aware,) We can not respond to a vague term concerning cleaning. We never received any requests or comments to address while on property. We have had no issues reported by the adjoining reservations. (our staff really does a good job, however we never want ignore areas of improvements.) ONE light bulb in a bathroom has been reported to maintenance for replacement. The water in the refrigerator door worked fine upon inspection. We did received a comment from the guest during the stay referencing roaches... We take this very seriously. However a roach and a palmetto bug are very different. REALLY! Palmetto bug live in the palm tree at the front of the property. This type of bug does fly and enters the property from open balcony doors mainly. We have asked that these door not be left open and we working on corrective action for next season that will help with this issue. We do explain to our guest the difference if they are not from SC. The reference "to many things to mention" seems to be more in the attitude of the guest than in reality. However we welcome any specific feedback on things we can make better.

It is fine

The condo provides the essentials but is absent some key desirables. On the positive side, the management team is responsive, it was clean on arrival, the internet is dependable, TVs are abundant with all you need, and the layout is good for families including a workable kitchen. The beach is conveniently just across the road. The place however misses the mark on comfort. The furniture and finishings are minimalist to say the least. The beds in particular left us more achy than rested, the couches/chairs have been thoroughly loved. The walls are thin, leaving you at the mercy of your neighbors, particularly the unit above which can be quite disruptive. This is notably in addition to the brightness and late night antics of Ocean Blvd. The pool is small and limited but accessible. Check in time is quite late but we did know this ahead of time. Several of the furniture pieces were broken making the dresser and whatnot unusable but truly didn’t impact our trip much. They provider very little in regards to towels, paper towels, soaps, etc The most concerning for me was inoperable security latch on door. The owners were very responsive and fixed the following day however it wasn’t fixed properly, you could just pull it out of the wall completely.

Wonderful stay

We had a very memorable stay at Pier Villas. Location is amazing. Being so close, everyone in the group were able to go to beach whenever they wanted. Because of the area not being too commercial with hotels, the beach is not crowded. Apartment is clean. Only thing I kind of not too pleased is the carpet. No complaints of Beds and mattresses. John, property manager is amazing. You text him and he texts back almost immediately. He arranged for body boards for free. The umbrellas and chairs are discounted as well. Overall, this place really made our vacation memorable. Thanks John again.
